The house was not clean and old. Lots of spiderwebs and spiders inside the house. It can be a beautiful place with the castle and all but it’s not well maintained. There is a lot weeds and the playground equipment are defective. The pool is loose at the edges.

Le lieu est magnifique mais les infrastructures ne sont pas au niveau. Les équipement de la maison sont en mauvais état, lampes non fonctionnelles, spot de sdb cassé, rideau de douche avec moisissures, poêles teflon usées….il y a une belle piscine très sale et le liner est mort, la piscine fuit donc rechargée 24/24 donc l’eau est glaciale, les transats sont usés donc inconfortables. Nous n’avons pas testé le retaurant…. La salle de billard est dans son jus comme la table . L’endroit pourrait être magnifique

Il nostro soggiorno alla Modern Cottage a Chaleix è stato semplicemente delizioso! La combinazione di charme rustico e comfort contemporaneo lo ha fatto sentire come una casa lontano da casa, I bambini hanno adorato la piscina condivisa e il campo da tennis, Abbiamo anche goduto di tranquille passeggiate nel vicino bosco, che era a pochi passi, Le opzioni di ristorazione sono a pochi passi, e abbiamo avuto un ottimo pasto al Chateau de Mavaleix, che consiglio vivamente!

Wohnen am Schloss Mavaleix

Ich habe in Frankreich schon viele Gîtes kennengelernt, dieses jedoch hat mich sehr positiv überrascht. Die alte Bausubstanz ist sehr schön erhalten und mit modernem Komfort ergänzt. Ein riesiges Wohnzimmer, ein gut funktionierender Kamin, bequeme Betten, viel Platz, ein Swimmingpool und das schöne Schloss, ein gutes Restaurant und eine gemütliche Kneipe. Der Schlossherr spricht fließend Englisch und ist bei allen Fragen behilflich. Was mich dazu bewogen hat, trotz meiner wirklich großen Zufriedenheit mit dieser Unterkunft nur vier Sterne zu vergeben, sind zum einen die Badezimmer im Gîte, die leider in keiner Weise dem Standard des restlichen Hauses entsprechen. Auch wurde beim Einbau der Zimmer nicht an eine Trittschallisolierung gedacht. Und zur Ausstattung der Küche: vieles ist vorhanden und funktioniert sehr gut, dann aber sind Gläser oder Teller nicht komplett. Das sind zwar nur Kleinigkeiten, die ich hier bemängele, aber sie könnten leicht vermieden werden, ist doch das Restaurant gleich um die Ecke. Mein Fazit: meine Freunde und ich haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Und sollte uns unser Weg wieder einmal in diese Gegend führen, würden wir auf jeden Fall wieder hier wohnen wollen.

Stemningen var lige i skabet, med en smuk blanding af gammeldags charme og moderne faciliteter, Vi udnyttede tennisbanen og prøvede endda at fiske i nærheden, Den eneste ulempe var vejret, men pejsen holdt os varme og hyggelige, Et bestemt sted at besøge igen!

Aankomst was prima, door eigenaar welkom geheten. Accomodatie Geweldig en ligging midden in de bossen. Wel belangrijk te vermelden dat er weinig in de naaste omgeving is te beleven. Voor bezoek aan leuke plaatsen zit je snel een uur in de auto. Wij hadden onze hond mee, dat is bij het Chateau perfect ! Je loopt direct het bos in naar de mooiste plekjes. Zeer aanbevelingswaardig Als je een lekkere rustige vakantie wilt, weg van alle drukte in NL. Eigenaar en zijn vrouw heel vriendelijk en zeer sfeervol restaurant!
