    Great little bungalow, easy access, nicely equipped.

    We stayed at El Pocito Quiet Bungalow for about a week at the end of December, and enjoyed our stay greatly. It is almost a small house - nice bedroom, living/dining area and kitchen. Pam and her husband where extremely helpful, and we greatly appreciated being able to stay there. We look forward to future visits to Oaxaca, where this will be our first choice for where to stay. Thanks Pam & Roberto!

    Peace and Tranquility

    I was very comfortable in the well-designed and beautiful space. There were many windows, so it was light and airy. The kitchen had all that was necessary to be able to cook somewhat elaborate meals. The wifi was reliable and I was able to do computer work and editing. The lights did flicker at the same time in the evening for some reason but it didn't have a negative impact. A wonderful experience!

    Vasquez in Huayapam

    We both loved the bungalaow and the village of Huayapam. The eco park nearby is a really pleasant walk from the bungalow through the park. It’s on the periphery of Oaxaca but you can take collective taxi and then walk or private taxi directly to centre or even the town bus. Very nice host.

    LOVED Huayapam and Pam's Perfect Bungalow!

    My husband and I had the most wonderful stay in Pam's special bungalow. Located in a peaceful, lovely and beautiful pueblo just next to Oaxaca. The bungalow has everything you need, such gorgeous views and a perfect location. The food in the nearby restaurant and in the small food stands is worth the trip. Pam was so great making sure we were picked up at the airport from a wonderful driver, he stopped at Walmart so we could get some supplies, he drove us back to the airport as well. Antonio met us late at night and could not have been more helpful or kind. We look forward to our next visit to this amazing gem! Thank you Pam and all!

    Very nice ubication, easy access to this property, the taxis around of Oaxaca are very cheap and safe.

    Pleasant, tasteful, well located, efficient, ideal for active couple/single in search of peace.

    The one-story property stands on hilly grounds above the seasonal mountain stream that crosses the village of Huayapam, situated in the foothills above Oaxaca. The property borders a quiet, narrow street on one side (entrance), and overlooks a flowery green tropical grove on the opposite side (banks of the stream,) with partial view of the mountains behind. The interior is well designed, tastefully furnished and decorated, with modern appliances, modern wiring and modern plumbing, all functioning well (including instant hot water, a strong and reliable wi-fi signal, and a number of U.S. news and sports TV channels.) While there is plenty of light from ample windows, the interior remains cool as outside temperatures rise. Given the location near the center of the village, there is easy foot access to the (active) village church, the few local shops and numerous restaurants or food stands, and the fleet of taxis (regular or converted motorbikes) that can take one to the closest Oaxaca shopping mall in 15-20 minutes. The ecological park less than a mile away includes a good size swimming pool full of the clearest (if rather cool) mountain water. On the negative side, lounging space (and furniture) are absent, either inside or outside the home. It is a place to stand, sit up or lie down, which is fine for a couple or single individual seeking peace and quiet in warm surroundings, but intent on remaining active during most of the day. [Couch potatoes looking for a place to recline in the warm breeze under a tree (or in front of the TV) will be disappointed.] Cooks will also be challenged, as the kitchen equipment is sparse, lacking, for instance, any sort of baking/broiling oven or dish, and any mixing implement. [These conditions may well have been corrected for the 2019-2020 season.] Finally, parking on the narrow street across from the home is tight, although safe and dependable. Overall, then, a delightful place for active vacationers, made more so by the attentiveness of the hosts, who never failed to respond to (or anticipate) the needs for help that are bound to materialize when strangers must adjust to an unfamiliar environment.
