About this property
Treehouse Place at Deer Ridge Featured top 10 USA
Summary:
Come experience the forest from the Sasquatch Cabin surrounded by Evergreens and wildlife! This unit was featured as one of the top 10 Airbnb treehouses in the country by Apartmenttherapy and number 1 in Washington by Outside Magazine! Please ask us anything and let us impress you with our response time.
The Space:
You will build lasting memories at this Romantic Treehouse Escape Among the Woods!
This is your cozy retreat tucked in the trees!
Wake up to sunbeams over Mt. Pilchuck, and throughout the day you may spot deer, squirrels, chipmunks, woodpeckers, or even soaring bald eagles. As night falls, listen for the distant calls of coyotes or catch a glimpse of a curious raccoon or owl. It’s pure magic from sunrise to sunset.
Designed for perfection, this one-of-a-kind two-story treehouse offers a non-traditional, romantic floor plan — perfect for a special getaway.
Highlights of The Treehouse:
Main floor: Small kitchenette, cozy living area with stone fireplace, HD TV, futon (perfect for an older child to come along), and a luxurious soaking tub
Second floor: High-end queen memory foam bed + a charming child’s sleeping loft (ideal for little adventurers with adult help climbing the custom iron-pipe ladder)
Private bathroom: Knotty alder barn door leads to a stylish restroom with pedestal sink and toilet
New BBQ grill on the deck for outdoor meals
Voice-controlled color-changing lights to set the perfect mood (presets like Savannah Sunset and Arctic Aurora)
Although we call it a treehouse, it’s thoughtfully built on posts among the trees — high enough to feel magical, yet safely grounded.
The kitchenette is fully stocked with everything you need for simple meals:
Coffee maker, mini fridge, induction cooktop, microwave, mini crockpot, dishes, glasses, and utensils.
Many guests rave about the luxury soaking tub — imagine relaxing by the fire, watching your favorite show, and sipping a drink, all without leaving your cozy living space!
Our Setting: Nestled on a private 3-acre property, surrounded by neighboring lots of 3–20 acres, you'll enjoy peace, space, and a strong sense of nature — with a well-lit boardwalk making even late-night arrivals feel welcoming and "romantical."
FAQs:
Are there hiking trails nearby?
Absolutely! Some of the best hiking in Washington is just a short drive away. We’ll gladly send you a list of our favorite trails and secret spots.
Is late arrival okay?
Definitely — in fact, arriving at night feels extra special with the boardwalk and grounds beautifully lit.
Celebrating a special occasion?
Yes! We offer flower packages, decorations, and special upgrades. Just ask — we make it easy via Airbnb messaging.
Size of the treehouse?
Interior space is approximately 220 sq ft — cozy, romantic, and perfectly laid out.
We are proud 5-star hosts and would love the chance to earn your 5-star review too!
Our goal is to create a place you’ll look back on fondly — and want to return to for anniversaries, birthdays, or just a magical getaway.
We can’t wait to host you! Feel free to message us anytime with questions.
Guest Access:
We provide free high speed Wifi (600mbps) via our "Treehouse Place" guest network! Guests will have free parking in our large circular driveway suitable for cars, trucks, or even RVs under 31ft.
The Neighborhood:
We are about 43 miles north east of Downtown Seattle. We are 15 miles from Everett and the Puget Sound. Here you can fish, whale watch, enjoy many restaurants, or drop down into Mukilteo and catch a Ferry to Whidbey Island. We are just 6 miles from lake fishing and other water activities at Lake Roesiger.
A 20 minute drive brings you to downtown Snohomish, with its world-famous antique stores and microbreweries on every corner. This is a romantic small-town with lots of charm. During the day, browse quaint shops and enjoy lunch at one of the great local restaurants. Have a night out and enjoy some great beer and grub at any of the breweries, including Lost Canoe Brewing, Haywire Brewing, and Sound to Summit brewing and the Tap House.
Feel like an adventure? Enjoy hot air balloon ride with Airial Balloon Company! Voted 'Best Hot Air Balloon Ride,' Airial Balloon Company is located just 20 minutes from the property and provides couples with a romantic afternoon they'll never forget. Even more adventurous guests can head 5 minutes down the road and take a leap of faith with Skydive Snohomish.
The town of Woodinville south of Snohomish has award-winning wineries, like Chateau Ste. Michelle Winery and Novelty Hill Januik Winery with tours available.
For a short day trip, head to Monroe for a movie and many more great restaurants. Feel like trying your luck at a Casino? Tulalip Resort Casino and outlet shopping is just 20 miles away.
In the winter months enjoy Stevens Pass Mountain Ski Resort just 60 miles away.
Great swims can be had year round at the Snohomish Aquatic Center where you will find large pools, slides, a wave ridder, lazy river, wave pool!
The Boeing Main Plant and flight museum is about 21 miles away. We are 52 miles from Seattle International (SeaTac) Airport. We are 21 miles from Paine Field Airport. There is horseback riding and many hiking trails all within 30-40 minutes. One of our favorites is about 35 minutes away called Wallace Falls which is a 2 mile hike to a beautiful waterfall. Blue Boy Golf Course is 14 miles away. High Trek Adventures & Zipline Park is 22 miles.
Getting Around:
You will need a car to get around. There is a nice paved bike trail about 6 miles away (Centennial Trail).
Other Things to Note:
The treehouse is fully insulated and has heat for year round comfort. We have fans available upon request for the summer but it rarely gets too hot here in the hills. We are at about 600 feet elevation. Our property is on 3 very private acres and surrounded by 100s of acres of state land on two sides. Although the property is private, the main house and treehouse can be seen from each eachother and the main house looks over most of the grounds. Sometimes the surrounding land is used for dirt bikes so you may hear that in the distance. It's rare but we want to tell you it's possible. The grounds offer incredable views and are lit at night. We are high up on a hill and the star gazing from the yard can be quite something on a clear night. You will have full access to walk the park like yard or walk the woods.
Interaction with Guests:
Prior to check in you will be given the keyless entry code. From the time you arrive, we will completely respect your privacy and leave you alone to enjoy your experience. That being said, because the treehouse and our home share a 3 acre lot together, we are still readily available and close by if you need anything. We also have a local manager just in case we are out of town. The majority of the treehouse windows look into the deep green forest. The front side faces toward the second story and roof of the main house. Yes you are above our 3 story home!
Although tecnically not supported by trees, the treehouse sits at the back of the hillside atop a small 10ft cliff and then about 6 ft up on stillts. So allthough you are high up, you are never too far off the ground. There is a grass yard that seperates the treehouse from our home.
No ladders are required other than for the children's loft. You are welcome to stroll the grounds. It is quite and peaceful but you may hear one of our cars depart or arrive throughout the day. At times you may hear seasonal yard maintenance. Most of the grounds are in view of the main home.
When you arrive you may park anywhere in our circular driveway. From there you will find the tailhead (Sasquatch Lane) located by the red barn. The trail is about 200 feet long and ascends about 50 feet up a wooden boadwalk and stairs.
To give you the highest level of service, a booking form will be sent via messages following reservation.
You are welcome to ask us for a list of must see attractions and our favorite restaurants.

About the host
Hosted by Joe
Washington is where I spent most of my life. You can't beat the Northwest for all it has to offer!
Why they chose this property
When I was a kid I read "My Side of the Mountain" which is about a young man who set out alone to live off the land in the forest. Ever since I have been facinated with building hangouts in the forest and what it would be like to escape the world and live with nature. I built this luxury tinyhouse as an expression of that desire.
What makes this property unique
I built a non-traditional floor plan from the ground up to create a romantic space.
