Redwing Retreat is located just outside of Athens, Ohio (home to Ohio University). It offers all of the comforts of home, plus the relaxing and replenishing effects of nature. The cabin has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom, and comfortably sleeps 6 people. It has a covered wrap-around porch with a hammock, plenty of lounge seating, and a grill. It is situated on 63 acres and is completely private. Athens and Ohio University are a short 20-25 minute drive away.
The cabin is a log home made of hemlock. It is about 1,000 square feet and it features 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom. It comfortably sleeps 4-6 people. The first floor bedroom has a queen bed and the second floor bedroom (which spans the entire second floor) has a queen bed and two twin beds that can be combined to create a king bed. The cabin has hardwood floors throughout and a fully-equipped kitchen. The bathroom has a clawfoot tub/shower combination, and comes complete with shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and lotion.
The cabin has a covered wrap around porch that is perfect for relaxing during the day or viewing the stars at night. The porch features an outdoor dining room table, rocking chairs, plenty of lounge seating, and a hammock. There is also a fire ring in the yard that is perfect for spending time with family and friends.
Perhaps best of all, Redwing Retreat is designed with you and your dogs in mind. It comes complete with everything you and Fido need to enjoy a relaxing vacation: dog bowls, towels, a bed, and crates (if needed); a gated wraparound porch; a spacious fenced in yard; 63 acres for adventurous pups with good recall; and wastebags to clean up after your pup in the yard.
Redwing Retreat is also a nature-lovers paradise. There are 63 private and secluded acres. There is not another neighbor in sight. It truly is a hidden retreat away from it all. It has rolling hills, serene meadows, and cool woodlands. The property features a freshwater pond that is perfect for swimming in hot summer days, walking paths, hiking trails, caves to explore, plenty of birds, and an abundance of wildlife, including deer, wild turkeys, foxes, rabbits, and more.
Please note: a 4-wheel drive vehicle is recommended in Winter months, as the driveway is gravel and hilly.
