A CAR IS NOT ESSENTIAL, if you don't mind walking a bit.
A little further, 5 minutes by car or 25 minutes on foot, using the seaside promenade, you will find the animation of the port of Saint-Laurent du Var with its bars, restaurants and dancing.

Even without a car, you can easily take the bus or train to Nice, Monaco, Cannes, Antibes, Juan les pins, ... The Cros-de Cagnes train station is a 15-minute walk away.
