Traditional Haute-Savoie chalet near Lake Geneva. 10 sleeps

Chalet in independent plank equipped and decorated with care, area of about 130 m2 at 1200 meters above sea level and facing south with a nice view.
Village of Bernex, 12 kilometers from Evian les Bains, a pretty unspoiled family-friendly ski resort open in winter - with adjustments depending on the snow level - from early December to early April. 5 minutes away (really 5 minutes!) by car from the bottom of the slopes (easily accessible and "parkable", even in very high season). Prices for ski passes, equipment rental and ski lessons are quite reasonable.
Lots of complementary activities (snowshoes, skating rink, etc.)

Outside the winter period, remarkable natural setting offering multiple possibilities of occupations (hiking, mountain biking, etc ... As well as all the "water" activities linked to the lake)
All the main shops (bakery, mini-market, press house, tobacconist, restaurants, ski rental, E.S.F., Tourist Office, etc.) within the village.

Other ski resorts nearby: Thollon les Mémises (1/4 hour), La Chapelle d'Abondance (1/4 hour, start of the immense Portes du Soleil area), Châtel-Les Gêts-Avoriaz (3/4 of an hour). These other stations are accessible by road (the domains are not connected with the Bernex domain)

Ideal for 2 families, it consists of a large room on the first floor with a large balcony including a living room, a kitchen / dining room. Wood burning stove in the living room.
Upstairs are three bedrooms (two with double beds and a third with four single beds, more suitable for children) and a bathroom with a toilet.
Two of the bedrooms have south-facing balconies.

On the ground floor, a room with a double sofa bed that can be used as a games room, office, etc. (complete "home theater" equipment) with en-suite shower room and toilet.

All comfort equipment available (including dishwasher, washing machine, etc.)

Garden of around 1000m2 with full summer equipment (garden furniture, parasol, barbecue, lanterns, etc.)

Full household linen provided.

Super séjour

Logement impeccable, spacieux, confortable, très bien équipé, proche de tout pour ses courses, faire des randos, plaine de jeux,... Propreté impeccable. rien à redire, nous y reviendrons. Nous y avons séjour à 2 familles avec enfants et c'était très adapté.

Séjour dans les alpages

Logement correspondant à nos attentes, bien équipé pour un séjour en famille. Le chalet se trouve au point de départ de nombreuses promenades de tous niveaux. Idéal pour les marcheurs. L'environnement est champêtre et la compagnie des vaches non loin affirme son coté champêtre.

Pas à la hauteur de nos espérances

Rentrés de notre séjour de deux semaines, relisant les avis précédents, nous avons du mal à comprendre l'enthousiasme affiché. Certes le chalet est idéalement situé, au calme, face aux montagnes, près des chemins de randonnée (mais non pas près d'Evian et de Thonon à 1/2 h de voiture) Côté communication nous ne reconnaissons pas non plus l'attention soulignée. Aucun contact direct, les clés à récupérer dans un boîtier. Côté propreté surtout, beaucoup de points laissant à désirer : un four dans un état immonde, un fer à repasser totalement inutilisable, poisseux, rouillé et poussiéreux, le linge de maison enfoui dans les placards tout froissé, sorti directement sorti de la machine à laver et entassé à la va-vite. Par ailleurs, aucune notice disponible concernant les divers équipements et pas le moindre film à disposition contrairement à l'annonce du propriétaire. A ceux qui pourraient remettre en question cet avis se démarquant par rapport aux autres nous tenons à disposition plusieurs photographies fort éloquentes.

Séjour à Bernex

Nous avons passé une très bonne semaine à Bernex . Le chalet est très agréable à vivre : spacieux , confortable et situé à 50 mètres du départ des randonnées ( un vrai plus ) Les propriétaires sont très sympathiques . Nous reviendrons donc avec grand plaisir ! Karine et Thierry.

Superbe séjour

Chalet idéalement placé au dessus du village de Bernex et parfait pour des départs en randonnée. A quelques kilomètres vous trouverez également les villes d’Evian les Bains et Thonon, et un peu plus loin la Suisse (Montreux d’un côté , Genève de l’autre).Pour les amoureux de la nature , une multitude de choses à faire autour. Le chalet est parfait, en superbe état, très bien entretenu et avec tout le nécessaire possible inimaginable pour accueillir toute une famille. Une décoration au top et des propriétaires adorables, à votre écoute, prenant des nouvelles pour être sûr que tout se passe bien et prêts à vous aider si besoin. Une adresse à retenir et à partager

Entre la montagne et le lac

Excellent séjour entre le lac et les montagnes avec les cloches des vaches au bout du jardin …. Superbes vacances, dans un chalet très agréable, bien équipé, et très bien placé ! Nous avons beaucoup apprécié ce séjour et nous reviendrons ! Merci aux hôtes et à la beauté du chablais !

Besser geht`s nicht!

Wir waren in diesem wunderschönen Chalet für 1 Woche in den Skiferien. Das Chalet ist wunderschön gelegen, an Platz, Gemütlichkeit und Einrichtung nicht zu überbieten. Alles ist genaustens wie beschrieben, es hat uns an nichts gefehlt. Wir alle haben uns in dieses Chalet verliebt und werden mit Sicherheit nicht zum letzten Mal hier gewesen sein! Das wirklich sehr nahe gelegene Skigebiet ist für Familien perfekt. Skiverleih, Skischule, Preisleistung, Pistenvielfalt und gemütliche Skihütten zu angemessen Preisen mit toller Aussicht auf Pisten und Bergwelt. Für alle fortgeschrittenen Skifahrer die Empfehlung, unbedingt den Sesselift auf die höchste Station Pelluaz zu nehmen. Von dort oben ist die Aussicht auf den Genfer See und die Alpen einfach nur atemberaubend und die Abfahrt auch für anspruchsvollere Skifahrer empfehlenswert! Eigentlich sollte man einen solchen Geheimtip nicht preisgeben ;-)

Entspannung pur in traumhafter Lage

Dieses schöne, gemütliche und sehr einladende Chalet liegt inmitten einer wunderschönen Berglandschaft, die zum Wandern und Spazieren gehen einlädt. Das wunderschöne Chalet mit gemütlich- rustikaler Einrichtung und einer wunderbaren Wohnküche lädt zum Entspannen und gemeinsamen Kochen, Spielen und Genießen ein. Der Kontakt zum Vermieter war außerordentlich freundlich. Wir würden sofort wiederkommen!

Schönes Chalet in herrlicher Gegend

Sehr ruhige Lage am Ortsrand. Komplett ausgestattetes Haus mit allem was man braucht. Sehr netter E-Mailkontakt mit dem Vermieter, der uns vorab mit allen nötigen Informationen versorgt hat. Völlig unkomplizierte Schlüsselübernahme und -rückgabe. Wanderungen sind ab dem Haus möglich. Ein Restaurant ist ganz in der Nähe fußläufig erreichbar. Kleiner Supermarkt, Bäckerei, Restaurants im Ort, mit dem Auto 5 min entfernt. Wir haben eine wundervolle Urlaubswoche in Bernex verbracht.

Quel splendide séjour nous avons passé ! La localisation du chalet est parfaite,au bout de la route et au départ des sentiers de randonnées,bien au calme avec en paysage ,montagne et paturages:du bonheur pour les yeux... Le chalet n'en est pas moins superbe ! Propreté irréprochable! Il est décoré avec goût,très confortable,très bien équipé,avec du matériel à foison et surtout de bonne qualité et en très bon état!! On sent des propriétaires impliqués dans leur chalet et soucieux du bien-être de ses occupants,ce qui est rare... A cet égard ,nous souhaitons remercier tout particulièrement Monsieur Pozzo Di Borgo

Très beau chalet pour des vacances familiales

Magnifique chalet dans un hameau calme au dessus de Bernex. Très bien équipé (rien ne manque!), très confortable, propreté impeccable, joliment décoré, ce chalet est situé au pied des départs de rando et non loin des équipements de la station. Très jolie vue de la terrasse. Accueil remarquable et disponible. C’est un lieux idéal pour des vacances !!!

Alles sehr geräumig und sauber. 2 Bäder (1x Wanne 1x Dusche) großzügige Küche und Sitzgelegenheit. Toller Ausgangspunkt für Wanderungen und Urlauber die Ruhe und Natur erleben möchten. Kontakt zum Vermieter immer sehr positiv, sofort geantwortet und immer da! Wichtig Kontakt nur via Englisch oder Französisch. Gen. in der Region eher keine Möglichkeit Deutsch zu sprechen, dass sollte beachtet werden. Danke für den tollen Urlaub, wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt inkl. unserem kleinen Hund. Großer Garten und Auslauf garantiert!

First and Best Chalet Break.

We are a Family of 3 Adults from Scotland who booked a 4 night stay as a base for exploring the area. Driving access up the mountain was no problem as the directions were impeccable, the chalet was bigger than it looked, spacious, well equipped and a decent wifi signal. A fantastic balcony, busy with feeding birds, we all had a great sleep in a choice if bedrooms and then drove to Chamonix in the morning. It was great value compared to hotels. Log burning stove with wood was so warming at night. The chalet was Loaded with games, books, DVDs and outdoor equipment. We are not skiers but our visit in April/May saw the chalet with 6 inches of snow overnight which was stunning. The road was cleared first thing in the morning, I only had to dig out the car with one of the snow shovels, fantastic. This chalet would be great all year round, handy for Evian and Lake Geneva and not too far from Geneva Airport. Top tip, Geneva, Lausanne, Montreux, Berdex is a far nicer drive than Geneva-Berdex. We were met onsite by Tressy and in touch with owner by mail and both were so helpful., highly recommended.

je conseille vivement.....

Je ne peux que recommander ce lieu idéal pour des vacances en familles ou entre amis. Le chalet correspond en tous points aux photos et au descriptif...pas de mauvaise surprise. Les propriétaires nous ouvrent les portes de leur résidence très cosy et nous reçoivent chez eux comme s'ils recevaient des amis ou de la famille. La décoration est soignée, le chalet est très propre et vous êtes accueillis comme à l’hôtel car les lits sont faits............Rien ne manque, le bois pour les belles flambées en soirée, les jeux de société, l'équipement en général qui fait que vous vous sentez très rapidement comme chez vous....c'est d'un calme absolu et idéalement placé pour le ski comme pour les balades (départ de randonnées à 50 m). Si je dois à nouveau louer pour recevoir ma famille, comme je viens de le faire, je recontacterai Vincent sans hésiter. Alors n'hésitez plus..... Sophie et toute sa famille......

Le Bonheur est dans la montagne !

Partis avec mon mari et nos 3 petites filles pendant 8 jours chez Vincent et Cécile, nous revenons des étoiles pleins les yeux de ce séjour !**** Le chalet est aussi beau que sur les photos, et tout à fait conforme à l'annonce, situé sur les hauteurs de Bernex au bord des alpages, au pied du départ de plusieurs sentiers de randonnées. Il est excessivement bien équipé, agréable et fonctionnel : le salon/sam est spacieux et tout comme les chambres charmantes, il bénéficie d'une vie magnifique sur le sommet du mont César. Il n'est pas rare de voir des chamois dans les pierriers ! Vincent et Cécile nous ont laissé à disposition pleins de docs sur les randos incontournables alentours, le mont César, le mont Bénant, le Mont Baron, le Lac de la Case d'où on bénéficie d'une vue sublime entre Lac Léman et Mont Blanc. Il y a une délicieuse boulangerie dans le village de Bernex et une petite supérette parfaite en dépannage. Ne pas hésiter aussi à profiter des bords du lac léman tout proche, à aller se balader dans la vallée d'Abondance, ou dans le ravissant village d'Yvoire. Merci Vincent et Cécile pour cette semaine extra... à l'année prochaine!!!
