NY! GÆSTHUS I NÆRHED GLIMMERGLASS FESTIVAL, 15 MILES TIL COOPERSTOWN

Nyd et afslappende ophold i dette nyrestaurerede og møblerede midt-århundrede moderne gæstehus. Pensionatet og den tilstødende bolig, designet af Willis N. Mills, Jr., er på det historiske register og blev vist i Architectural Record Houses fra 1967 og House Beautiful, juli 1965.

Midt i en malerisk omgivelse af skove, marker, vandløb og en dam, er denne skjulte perle en kort køretur til Cooperstown langs den naturskønne Lake Road og 10 minutter til Glimmerglass Festival. 

Det attraktive design på split-niveau er bygget til at dele med familie og venner og giver et mål for privatlivets fred for gæsterne. To soveværelser og et fuldt bad er gemt væk på den ene side af huset og tredje soveværelse, TV / stue og fuld bad er på den anden. En fælles stue / spisestue og kabysse køkken forener begge sider.

Tro mod de smukke rene linjer fra Mid-Century Modern design tilbyder hvert luftigt soveværelse senge (r), siddepladser og to rummelige indbyggede skabe, det ene med stang og bøjler, det andet med gulv-til-loft-hylder.

Vores gæstehus er udstyret med vigtige faciliteter til en behagelig ferie. Fortæl os på forhånd, hvis du har særlige behov, og vi vil gøre vores bedste for at imødekomme dig.

Awesome Location for Modern Stay

My longtime high school friends and I had a great time and loved the amenities in this modern and cool house. The kitchen was well equipped and the beds super comfortable. The air conditioning was very welcomed!!! Great area and lots to do in Cooperstown!!! Hosts were great!!!

Our Cooperstown retreat

This architecturally significant guest house is beautifully furnished, and has every amenity. It is located in a peaceful country area, but is convenient to Cooperstown and the Glimmerglass Opera. The hosts have thought of everything to make your stay comfortable. Check-in is easy with a combination on the door lock, and the hosts provided excellent directions to get to this secluded retreat. The hosts and the property are top notch; we highly recommend it.

Loved the house

It was perfect for our stay. I just wished we’d had more time to really explore the area and see the caves/waterfall. But we were there for a baseball tournament at Cooperstown Dream Field and spent most of our time there. The drive along the lake was beautiful and peaceful after a long day in the sun. Fresh flowers, cookies, chocolate and popcorn were some of the special touches left for us to enjoy!!

Enjoyable Stay

Our stay was wonderful! Description of the property was spot on and the hosts were wonderful and went above and beyond to welcome us to their lively guesthouse! Although the property was a little further out than we originally wanted to be from Cooperstown it was worth the short drive! The property was very clean and we enjoyed a hike across the street to a beautiful waterfall and cave! We will definitely return if we are back in the area in the future!

Gorgeous private property

We were beyond happy with this place. We were in town for the baseball Hall of Fame induction weekend and this property was perfectly located away from all the crowds in Cooperstown yet close enough to be convenient. The setting is remote and stunning. The property owners were very kind and helpful. The house itself is beautifully decorated and had everything we needed. We would definitely stay here again!

Amazing property and guest house

We just stayed a week here. Property is amazing! The house is beautiful and the aesthetics were beyond expectations. It is about a 30 minute drive to the dreams park. The ride is beautiful with no traffic. The size,outdoor living, and nearby waterfalls were absolutely worth it. The house has everything you need including a washer and dryer. We cooked several nights at the house and enjoyed the outdoor firepit. This house will not dissapoint! Do not miss out hiking the trail and seeing the falls and caves. Simply beautiful!

This is a very nice house in a very picturesque location conveniently located for our itinerary of Cooperstown in own direction and several towns in the opposite direction. The hosts are very friendly and accommodating. Added personal touches: a charming country floral bouquet and begonia plant in the living area were lovely. Upon learning that my grandsons liked board games, several were placed in the house for us. An endless Monopoly game entertained them during our stay.Why four stars for accuracy of the listing? The only somewhat negative thing I would say is that the kitchen is apparently an afterthought and challenging for any serious cooking. It is tiny and the photos don't show that the refrigerator is under the staircase in the living area outside of the kitchen. Equipment is minimal and some is stored on the second level up the same staircase that the refrigerator sits under. Also, "across the road" is somewhat misleading as to the location of the pool and nature trail at the Woodruff Learning Center. No mention is made of the very long driveway from the house to the road. This was one of the attractive features that made me choose this house. Nevertheless it was worth the little trip to get to it. Overall, this is one of the best VRBO properties I've rented.

Max and Doreen's guest home was immaculate. The decor and layout was perfect for my family trip. My parents stayed with me and my family. They had their own "wing" while my family stayed on the other side of the home. The home was spotless and provided everything we needed (air conditioning, laundry, a small but useful kitchen, board games, etc.). The communication was top notch as well. If we travel to the area again we will definitely be back!

Unique and beautiful

Doreen and Max's place in the beautiful hills of upstate New York is unique in it's architecture and wonderfully serene set amidst the changing seasons, all beautiful in this tranquil place. The guest house itself is nicely appointed with mid-century modern style furniture and there's plenty of room in this perfectly symmetrically balanced space. Set in secluded woods is the perfect place for some peace and reading a good book or hiking on a hidden gem of a trial just a few minutes walk away. We'd definitely come to stay again. Thank you Max and Doreen.

Perfect stay

This was a gorgeous property, tucked away in the hills north of Cooperstown. The house was incredibly clean, safe, well appointed, and the bed was more comfortable than home! Doreen was a wonderful host, very responsive, and still giving us the space and privacy we were looking for on our anniversary weekend. I highly recommend this property - one of the best we’ve ever stayed in!

Best Stay in Cooperstown

This house is beautiful and as others have said - immaculate. Dorren and Max are very gracious light-touch hosts, who give you privacy while also offering assistance when needed. Thoughtful touches in decor & including special touches - delicious goodies, fresh flowers, and a well appointed kitchen. We’ve stayed in the area four times in different rentals and this was by far the best. The nature center across the road has beautiful trails & very close to Glimmerglass Opera. Highly recommend. Great stay for busy hall of fame induction

We were here for the very busy Cooperstown Hall of Fame induction weekend after months of the planning. We reserved early in order to have the best choices of spots, and we found exactly that in Jordanville. Max and Doreen’s house is perfect. Set off the road down a long driveway, this is just what we wanted for a two couple vacation. The house has three bedrooms. Two on one side with bath and one on the other with bath. Gave us all comfort and privacy. The living and family rooms are good size, modern and exceptionally clean. The galley kitchen is roomy and complete. Everything is thought of. At one point we had three of us working in the kitchen so space is not a problem. The drive to Cooperstown was a straight shot with one of the trolley parking lots when you come into town. Made it very easy for us. Lots to do and experience. We will be back. Thank you so much for everything including the sweet extras you placed there just for us. You are wonderful hosts.

The property was clean and spacious. The owners would wave every morning and text to see if we needed anything. Across the street was a great place to hike and see water falls. We had a great time staying at this location.

Everything about our stay was peaceful and smooth. The guest house was clean and well stocked. Max and Doreen couldn’t be more pleasant. Doreen helped us find last minute transportation to Albany when my husband had to fly out sooner than expected. Overall an amazing trip and looking forward to staying again in the future. Highly recommend

Beautiful home in a lovely setting

The house is gorgeous as well as comfortable. Thank you to the hosts for leaving great snacks and waters in the fridge. We ventured into Cooperstown and Cherry Valley - both lovely drives. Bought lilacs at the Lilac Farm in Cherry Valley and had a great meal at The Rose and Kettle. Stopped at the Fish Hatchery and fed some Rainbow Trout and saw a bucket list concert at Ommegang Brewery. Every place was within 30 minutes. Beautiful area, beautiful house and very responsive and kind hosts. Thank you!

Cooperstown getaway

Beautifully remodeled contemporary home a short drive from Cooperstown. Secluded and private. Lovely owners live in the adjacent home. Perfect getaway for peace, quiet and relaxation. It is just a short drive to access the Erie Canal trail for biking/hiking.

Amazing weekend at Max & Doreen’s!

Having stayed in many Vrbo accommodations before with our family, I can honestly say that staying at Max and Doreen's home in the Otsego Lake region was the absolute best experience we've had to date!! Not only is their home located on a gorgeous and tranquil piece of property with plenty of privacy, it was incredibly clean - literally spotless - and splendidly designed. Their attention to every imaginable detail from plush bath towels, to a well stocked kitchen, board games and books for children to adults, and foods such as fresh fruit and chocolates was just incredible!! We loved the fire pit too. We felt more as if we were visiting with close family members rather than staying in just a rental property. Situated close to Cooperstown we were able to easily visit the National Baseball Hall of Fame and the lovely Farmer's Museum with a carousel for the kids. Within 20 minutes of their stunning home we were able to visit several charming farms to go apple and pumpkin picking, and hiked on the phenomenal Robert B. Woodruff Learning Center trails that were mere minutes away. The trails were absolutely magnificent with multiple serene waterfalls and stunning photo opportunities around every bend. Our son loved climbing around the caves there too!! All in all our stay was phenomenal and we could not have asked for better hosts or a more perfect location!! I absolutely recommend Max and Doreen's home for your next stay. We are hoping to come back next summer for the Glimmerglass Festival!!
