Baywatch House is a waterfront home ideally located in a quiet and isolated located , perfect for a Chincoteague Island vacation. House borders a horse pasture where Chincoteague ponies and other horses roam.
Facing South looking over the water is the living room, dining room, kitchen, master bedroom and one of the other two bedrooms, a 50'+ deck with grill, lounge chairs, and dining area. The outside dining area is within view of the wonderful sunsets to the west and waterfront to the south.. Weber grill with all the tools provided. There is a large bonus room with dining areas facing North and West so beautiful views of sunsets are possible
Main living space: There are 3 bedrooms: Master bedroom has a comfortable king bed with 2 closets and private bathroom with a walk in shower & 6' soaking tub. Waterfront Bedroom #2 has a comfortable queen bed and direct access to a Jack and Jill bathroom with a tub/shower combo. Salt Marsh Estuary View Bedroom #3 has a queen bed & twin daybed with direct access to Jack and Jill bathroom shared with BR #2. The 3rd 3 piece Bathroom has a shower and is downstairs next to the laundry room. Nice bed linens, towels, washcloths, hair dryers and bath soaps are provided. Starter paper products are provided for both the kitchen and baths. Mr. Coffee type coffee maker is in the kitchen. Town is a 7 minute drive from the house.

Oversized Washer & Dryer with laundry detergent are located on the ground floor.

Beautiful home with ponies!

We came to the area for a birthday trip. The house was amazing. Plenty of space and everything you need and more. The owners were so thoughtful to every little detail. Our granddaughters loved seeing the horses outside the house and reading the books on the shelves. Thank you very much sharing your home to us. Definitely would like to return sometime.

Captivating Chincoteague Christmas

We were fortunate to spend Christmas here as a small reunion with family on the East Coast and couldn’t have been happier. The home is gorgeous inside and out and very clean and well-maintained. The location is beautiful and we were happy to see some of the wild horses. There is even a handbook for identifying the ponies. The Assateague Lighthouse is visible on the horizon. The view over the tidelands is spectacular and always changing with shifting colors, clouds and sky. We would love to come back to enjoy the view. The owner is very helpful and accommodating and added some wonderful holiday decorations for us. She even offered any ingredients we might need for Christmas dinner. Best VRBO ever!.

Island House - Perfect Stay

If you're looking for a house on Chincoteague Island - just stop and choose this one - it's perfect. The location is perfect for rest and relaxation - the views are amazing on both sides of the house. We did see the ponies from the neighboring house one day we were there - that was so nice! The host responded quickly to questions and was accommodating when we wanted to change and extend the dates on our trip. The house is about 15 minutes from anywhere on the island. Would definitely stay here again - and hope to do so!

Love this place!

This is our fourth year staying here and as before, it was just wonderful. Just sipping coffee on the porch overlooking the water every morning is sublime. The house has everything you could want, and all of the finest quality. And the cat neighbor is an added bonus!

Nice stay but few things to note...

Stay was lovely. location was peaceful and it was nice to see the ponies up close. We were a little disappointed you could not access the dock easily and it was impossible to figure out the TV in the evening but otherwise it was a very nice stay.

Exceptional vacation home!

This was not only the best vacation I’ve ever taken, but it was also the best VRBO our family has ever stayed at. The house is absolutely beautiful with wonderful views, refreshing breezes off the porch, and an open layout that is very appealing. The host is an exceptionally warm and welcoming owner who is very friendly and accommodating. I would give this home 10 stars if I could!

Beautiful!

We came to town with two families and Grandma. House worked great! Lots of extra linens, plates, glasses, etc. The view from the deck was amazing, and we all enjoyed spending time out there. It is on the far end of the island; it was peaceful and quiet there, but not too far to go to ice cream (3 times!) during our week there. The area around the dock is very muddy, which made the dock entirely unusable...even for children not afraid of mud and muck.

The Ponies!

No dissapointments here! The home is gorgeous,the setting is perfect, and the Ponies were the icing on my 50th birthday weekend cake from The Creamery! Even our stormy lightning striking Memorial Day night was Awesome! Great views of sunrise and sunsets...even caught some blue claw crabs to enjoy! Thank you for having us! Best first time to Chincoteague my family could have had! My daughter got engaged on your dock!!!! What a weekend! Please note: we bought and installed new bulbs for fridge, the grill wouldnt start for us(seems like the regulator), the knob for the soak tub sprayer was broken. I just used a cup to help rinse out tub, and the master shower drain is slow, but i wasnt sure what product you use so we dealt with it. Seriously great home!

Chincoteague Oasis

Overall the house is absolutely beautiful and one of the most well appointed and equipped homes we've had the opportunity to rent. The views from the home are stunning! The only downside was that we rented the home so we could kayak and it was quite difficult to get the kayaks from the back of the home to the water. There is a stretch of land between the home and water that is a right of way for ponies and it was very muddy. We would definitely rent the home again if not kayaking!! It was a beautiful home!

Fantastic house, great fires in every direction

Lovely spot to get away for a few days. Horses on neighboring property (retired island ponies we think) wandered in front of the deck one morning, well stocked with basic necessities, several tables including one out on the deck. Definitely recommend if you are looking for a quiet spot near (but not walkable to) all the amenities of the island and nearby beaches where you can sit and admire the view from any room or the large open deck.

Beautiful house in amazing location!

The house was gorgeous, the setting, right on the water, even more so. We saw tons of birds, and saw the local ponies once, despite the yucky, rainy weather. House is very cozy and also has multiple tables, great for people like us who like to do jigsaw puzzles and play games on vacation!!

Mental peacefulness

My sister and I dont get many chances for vacation get-aways. This home was just what we needed. Beautiful views, nature all around ,quiet and everything we needed. Our 4 days went much to quickly . Jane ,the owner was very nice and responsive as well. And yes, we did have horses around us on multiple occasions. Sunsets, and all sorts of birds added to 4 peaceful ,restful days . Peaceful In Chincoteague

We really enjoyed our stay. My first pony came from Assateague as a child. We try to visit Chincoteague as often as we can and decided to try a Vrbo. Jane was Amazing to work with. Communication was wonderful. The location is away from town and so peaceful. We enjoyed the waterfront deck and bird watching. We lit a fire every night as we watched TV or read. The home had everything we needed. The beds were comfy and we even had daily visits from the local and very friendly kitty. It felt like home. Thank you Jane for allowing us the opportunity. We will be back!

Professionally decorated Baywatch House is located on Leonard Lane, one of the most serene, beautiful places on the island to live and visit. It is a private road with several beautiful homes, all on the water. Even though the home was built in 1986 as a private residence, over the last 15 years it has been completely remodeled. Master carpenters were hired to create this unique coastal style waterfront home surrounded by nature.

What makes this property unique

Baywatch House is located on a private road away from traffic and noise. Roaming Chincoteague Ponies and Quarter Horses sometimes graze near the house , although unpredictable since their pasture is part of a 20 acre tract. The home is warm and inviting with many personal furnishings and artwork of the owners. It is overlooking Oyster Bay and pony pasture to the South and East and salt marsh estuary to the West and North.
