We stayed 3 nights over Spring Break. The loft was wonderful. Loved the location and the building itself. We will definitely add to our list of favorites.
This is a very cool loft which is conveniently located a block off The Strand. Friendly hosts greeted us and helped us with our luggage upon arrival. I would highly recommend this wonderful place!
This place is phenomenal! The location. The decor. The hospitality is over the top! Joanna and Brian take care of all the details. No stone left unturned here. My favorite VRBO to date!
We loved our stay at this flat! Beautifully decorated. The owners are so accommodating. The history of the building is amazing and they have several articles about the building. I highly recommend.
This place is beautiful and so convent to the Strand and downtown activities. Joanne and Brian are truly super host. I’ll be back next year if not sooner.
This was a very clean and comfortable accommodations for a girls weekend out. The location was FANTASTIC! You can walk out the front door and be on the Strand in less than a block or jump on the trolly and explore the island for $1.00. The owners are wonderful people that greet you at the door to make sure you have everything you need. We will definitely be coming back!
The loft was beyond our expectations. It was located right off the strand. The loft itself was very comfortable and well appointed. It truly reflected the historic and artistic nature of Galveston.
The hosts were nicest people who went out of their way to make our stay a great one
Joanne and Brian are great hosts and the property was as described. Host made snacks and provided drinks. Make sure you can climb stairs because the rooms are on the 3rd floor.
Absolutely beautiful place and location is walking distance to Strand and several eating places. So shop, eat and get dessert just blocks away. Highly recommend but you will get your exercise in, going up & down the stairs, but so worth it. Owners are so nice too, so that is big +!!
The property was so nice and in a great location. After unloading our car and parking it in the space provided, we walked everywhere. Water and some snacks were provided. The stairs to the loft could be challenging and sounds from outside could get loud. Overall we loved our time there and would love to stay there again.
From check in to check out, everything was fabulous! The attention to detail was everything! From cable tv, soft toilet paper, superb linens and comfortable beds and sofas, this was just the beginning of our wonderful experience. The host went out of her way to provide snacks and drinks, full coffee bar and discounts to restaurants! If you do not know the Galveston area, this is THE BEST LOCATION you can get! It’s in the heart of the festivals, restaurants, shopping and you can hear and see the cruise ships come and go! I can not wait to stay here again!

About the host
Hosted by Joanna Yates
My husband Brian is a real estate developer and broker and I am a writer and now "the hostess with the mostest" . We both love to entertain and have hosted and chaired many parties and events over the years. Whiteside Town Flats gives us the opportunity to host and meet amazing folks from all walks of life. It is a privilege for us to share our building.
Why they chose this property
We have always loved this building as it has been in our family for over 20 years. We bought it from Brian's parents in 2009 and have not looked back.
What makes this property unique
Whiteside Town Flats is an incredible building. Everyone who enters tells us that they feel something truly special that is very hard to explain. There is a quiet about the building that is comforting even though we are literally in the middle of all the action in downtown Galveston.
