Great back porch and back yard on the creek!

  • 4 of 5

Nice rustic cabin with great back porch and back yard on the creek! I will have to agree with some of the other reviews though on the tap water but we were prepared with the store bought water bottles and gallon water jugs for coffee. Other than that I would recommend it to anyone.

Nice property

  • 2 of 5

we enjoyed the cabin and the location was wonderful. It was stocked with everything we needed for our weekend stay. Our only problem was the water smelled horrible - it smelled so bad I couldn't shower while we were there and had to hold my breath to rinse dishes to load the dishwasher. Luckily we had brought some bottled water and went and bought some ice so we were able to cook and have cold drinks. I thought that was just the way it was until when we started to do the laundry before we left my husband notice what seemed to be the water filter system in the basement had no filter in it so that was probably what caused the problem. When we got back I emailed the let them know since I knew renters were coming in right after us. I was disappointed with the response I got which was they would let the owner know and I never heard if the issue was resolved. So with that I cant really recommend it not knowing if they may have the same experience.

Owner's Response: Given that we do not live there, I could not represent that it was fixed the day of your inquiry. It is a well and we work on the filtration system as we discover the issue. Some Guests never mention it and others have a problem with it so it is not constant. Given all the other wonderful things about the property and our home I am sorry you can not recommend it. We have many Guests who find it lovely. Thanks for your business.

Lovely setting...great little cabin. Enjoyed the porch and fishing...although didn't catch anything. Had friends that rented Creekside...so we had the whole property to ourselves. Very clean and well equipped.

So tranquil and relaxing. Thank you!!

Beautiful location...beautiful creek, my son caught lots of fish (and released)

We had a wonderful time, cabin was nice and property was beautiful. Love love love the fireflies!!

Only complaints...water was STINKY, and pull out couch was uncomfortable, porch door needs a slam cushion - was very loud.

Would definitely come back, hopefully those things will be fixed by then :)

Great property on the stream, although only about 2 acres of 21 are accessible.

  • 3 of 5

This area of the country is beautiful with streams and mountains. Property was nice with stream, hot tub and fire pit. We also enjoyed the back screened in porch very much. The master bed/loft was very comfortable. Disappointments were the limited lighting in the home, the uncomfortable pull out sleeper sofa and that the washing machine was broken with standing water when we arrived. Suggest checking with owner to see if these are addressed. If so, nice place for a rustic get-away.

Owner's Response: This cabin is located on 21 beautiful acres. Not all are flat, however, as you can tell from the photos there is much more than 2 acres accessible. There is nearly 1/2 mile of trout stream alone that is accessible. The sleeper sofa is new, and it is a typical sleeper sofa as far as how comfortable it is. The washer has been replaced.
