A romantic getaway or a fishing trip. This is an amazing property with beautiful trout stocked creek rushing through it. Enjoy the deck overlooking the creek or sit in the hot tub and relax. This is a truly peaceful place to relax and enjoy the outdoors.
Just min. away from Leatherwood riding stables. You can be shopping in Boone, Blowing Rock or heading to Tweetsie Railroad, or Linville caverns with 20 mins. Zipline or Gem Mining is also a favorite of our guestsw.

This creek is a Class A trout stocked creek.. The State stocks our creek each month from Mar-Aug. It is also listed as an 'Outstanding Resource of Water' by the State of NC.

There is another cabin on adjacent lot that could be available for larger parties or if you have Friends that would also like to come along. 1 king bedroom , 1 full bathroom 2 twins in loft bedroom. Listing #248845

Ring camera outside only in front of property for your protection. Can be combined with cabin door for larger groups.

The kitchen was well-equipped. Cute and cozy. Loved the fireplace and hot tub. Host was easy to reach and responded quickly when we got lost. Great weekend getaway for couples (and dogs).

Quiet and clean. Beautiful location. The hot tub was perfect. Nice to visit West Jefferson but then come back.to the cabin. Full kitchen and grill made it so easy to relax and just enjoy the space.

Extremely clean and well stocked rental. We enjoyed the creek and the hot tub. It was a little bit of a drive to stores but absolutely perfect for a relaxing weekend away, which is just what we needed.

I am giving this 3 stars because the cabin was very clean and nice; however, we didn’t realize how far away it was from everything. We wanted to go hiking at Julian Price Park but it was an hour away. We wanted to go to dinner in Boone or Blowing Rock but it was 40-50 minutes away, so we had to go the grocery store and stay put. There is one restaurant 10 minutes away but that’s it. If you are looking to get away and not go anywhere this is the place for you, but if you want to go to the mountains and do activities then you need to find a place closer. We were very disappointed we couldn’t go anywhere without driving almost an hour.

House was beautiful however we were not informed that the owners were aware there are many copperhead snakes along the creek shore and in the debris pile right in front of the house. They said they know they are there, but never had an incident until my dog was bit hours into arriving and spent overnight in the ER. I don't feel knowing this and saying pet friendly is safe for anyone.

This cabin is exactly as in pictures. It is a beautiful spot. The creek is clean and beautiful. The house was perfect for our family. We have 2 boys and they slept on the big pull out couch. We loved it.

Cabin was clean, comfortable and well appointed. Property was beautiful…though didn’t catch a single fish so that was a little disappointing.

This place was amazing and just what we needed! Just my husband, myself and our 10 y/o lab. Our dog loved getting in the creek. We cooked on the grill every night, enjoyed the hot tub and the deck overlooking the creek. We would definitely stay here again!

Quiet & Clean

If you’re looking to go up the mountain for a quiet escape, look no further. This cabin is located off a dirt road and nestled beside a relaxing creek. The cabin is well stocked (towels, linens, cookware), very clean, and a decent WiFi signal. I would not hesitate booking here again because the host is super responsive too.

Cozy and Relaxing

The cabin is clean and well stocked. The layout is spacious.Relaxing in the hot tub after a day playing in the creek was nice.Host gives you privacy and is accommodating as needed.

Great creek play for kids!

The creek in the backyard had a little sandy beach area. Our 4 and 6 year old kids, and our pup, spent hours every day playing alongside and in the creek. There was a nice picnic table and firepit for spending evenings outside enjoying the sounds of the creek. During our stay in early June, we were surprised by the lack of bugs - they weren't a nuisance at all. Inside was clean and comfortable, with a large table perfect for board games and family time. We took some day trips out to The Blowing Rock, hiking along the Blue Ridge Parkway, and to kayak the New River, each about 40 minutes away. We hope to return again, this time just to spend all our time enjoying the lovely property and the creek - it's like a prime camping spot but with the comforts of a fully outfitted cabin.
