For everyone who's ever been looking for a real cabin in the woods - you have finally found it! The structure is an original cabin, although the interior has had many upgrades. Remodeled kitchen with granite counter tops and a wine cooler, a wonderful outdoor hot tub in a Beautiful, Private, Mountain setting with more trees around than you can count!
Located on Peak 7, specifically at 225 Protector Place, Breckenridge, CO 80424, you are just minutes away from the Breckenridge Ski Area for fun all day, and close to town if you can tear your self away from the comfort and quiet peacefulness of the cabin.
The house is two stories. The main (downstairs) level has the kitchen/dining/living area all open to each other for easy socializing. The laundry room and Master bed and bath are also on this main level. The Master bedroom has a King bed.
Upstairs are the other two bedrooms and second bath. One room has a Queen, and the second with a bunk bed + a twin trundle. (a twin with a twin underneath that pulls out).
There is also a high chair, pack-n-play and baby monitor for anyone who may be traveling with a little one.
As you are sitting, relaxing on the deck, you can enjoy the beautiful pink skies at sunset, or on clear nights be amazed at the million and a half stars in the sky from the hot tub.
When you think of Colorado and your perfect 'mountain vacation' this is the house you envision!
We know how hard it is to leave your furry friend at home, so your welcome to bring your dog along too. They especially like the hiking and snowshoeing!
It's been so busy since we returned a couple weeks ago but I wanted to THANK YOU for our delightful stay at Ben's Cabin. It was very comfortable and the kitchen was so well stocked. We spent every moment we could on the deck and made good use of the hot tub in the evenings... ahhh.... the stars were beautiful -- we've never seen so many!

We had an amazing time staying in this cabin. It had everything and more than we needed to have a comfortable and inviting stay. The location provided a nice escape but very close to downtown Breckenridge. We would definitely recommend staying in this cabin.
The place was great and the owner was very polite. The first night the temperature was negative 10 and the house was pretty cold out of the gate. After we let the space heaters run for a day we were back in action!
Great little cabin away from the hustle and bustle of Breck. We were "fortunate" enough to stay during a winter storm. Beautiful scenery in the forest with snow covered trees and huge drifts of snow and hot tub was ever so rewarding. The access to the house was a bit difficult during the storm even with 4wd as the roads took 48 hours to plow (2/2 storm). Neighbors stated they are usually better about plowing. Parking is not available at the house, particularly with a lot of snow, it is best to park up hill at the turn about and dig your way out after the plow comes thru. Cabin was well stocked with necessities. Would stay again!
I recently stayed there Dec 28-30 with my parents, husband and two small children.
The bedroom layout was perfect for the family.
The kitchen was stalked with everything one could need.
Easy to find.
Quiet street and beautiful scenery.
-Really loud and creaky house, kept us all night with all the noises the house makes.
-There was no warning of the stairs leading into the house. They were extremely icey and my mother could barley make them down. The kids were terrified coming up and down them. It would be of been nice to be warned of how we would be entering the house.
-We were threaten multiple times of our cars being towed by the plow driver. Carrie was helpful in responding on what we needed to do, but again a heads up would of been nice. On the intro email there was only a suggestion to park really close to the house, no mention of what would happen if we did not.
-Fireplace was clogged, the first night we made a fire the whole house instantly filled with smoke.
-Pack your own towels. The towels that were provided were fine for my children but were tiny for the rest of my family.
We were looking for an old style mountain cabin for our Thanksgiving holiday. This was the perfect place for what we was looking for and we got the snow to go with it. The hot tub was great for the younger ones. The only issue we had was the heat when we arrived and it never really kicked in. The owner was great brought over some space heaters and we were good to go. I should add they had everything we could even ask for when it came to cooking items etc... Great place if you want to enjoy the mountains the way it use to be.
The cabin is only a few short miles to downtown Breckenridge where you can enjoy skiing, snowboarding, restaurants, shopping, and night life too! There are plenty of hiking and mountain biking trails around the county, Lake Dillon for sailing/boar rentals, horseback riding, ballooning and more!
