Great stay at Morehead Lodge!

This is our 3rd time staying at this property and have always had a wonderful experience! The lodge itself is large, updated and very clean. Megan and Ben are great communicators and helpful if ever needed. Crockett's run is a beautiful property with private trails. We will definitely stay here again!

Great Place

This was a perfect rental for our stay in the Hocking Hills area. The lodge is very clean with every amenity you will ever need. Very relaxing inside the lodge and outside. Easy check-in and easy check-out. The location was great for exploring the area and the trails on the property are very nice. We hope to come back soon!

Perfect for Families

We had a great time at Moorhead Lodge! The property is beautiful, our kids enjoy exploring the trails and creek. The house was spacious and clean and updated and Ben and Megan were very responsive. We are already planning our next trip and hoping to bring friends with us to stay at one of the other cabins on the property!

Hocking Hills Experience

We had a great time at Morehead Lodge. We six high school friends try to get together for a short get-away every year. This year was a trip to your area and we were not disappointed! The lodge was very clean, had everything we needed and we all loved it. If we ever come back to your area, we’d love to stay there again!

Beautiful property!

We did our Girls Trip here and had a fabulous time! There were only 4 of us and we had our own rooms. There was so much to do. From hiking to horseback riding to wineries and relaxing in the hot tub at the house! We definitely plan on coming back again. I have other friends that want to use this house for their Girls trip too!

Family get away

The house and property were perfect for our family of 9 that included 5 adults and 4 kids from 1.5-6 years old. Went to the playground and pond every day which was less than a 5 minute walk away. Even caught a fish on every trip! Everyone enjoyed using the fire pit and hot tub. Appreciated that the house was well stocked with towels and simple things like paper towels, dishwasher tabs, hand soap and dish detergent (which hadn’t been the case with other houses we’ve rented) as well as outdoor toys for the kids. A great visit.

This home is cozy like a cabin, but spacious and up to date like a traditional home. Unlike other cabins we’ve stayed in, this one was part of a little community which felt extra nice! There were walking trails and waterfalls right on the property! The hot tub with amazing view was a hit! We had fires in the fireplace and the beds were the most comfortable I’ve ever slept in!! The two queen beds in the lower level had twin trundles underneath that were comfortable as well! It wasn’t too far from all the main trails and caves in Hocking Hills. We will definitely be returning in the future. Oh! And it was so clean!! That was really nice! We also fell in love with the outside house cat, Checkers! I would highly recommend this place!

Beautiful views

Loved the house. Only really complaint is the back door off of the kitchen doesn’t open or close easy kinda tricky to figure out. The beds downstairs are really comfortable but the frame of the bed is not ideal. I would have slept better if my husband wouldn’t have had to crawl over me just to use the restroom. But the bed was one of the most comfortable beds I have slept in. We couldn’t figure out how to use the fans outside to get air moving it was muggy. The house was beautiful and the sights are amazing. Having a small trail on site was awesome for a quick kick to wake you up. The pond was nice to have didn’t catch anything. It’s a great venue for sure. We would be back. Loved the big table had to push over the bench to be able to fit all 8 of us at it. There are only 6 chairs at the table. We would go back for sure!!! Also a great place for a wedding we found the bridal suit when we were leaving. So pretty and a really great idea!!! Thank you so much for a great and beautiful place!

Bachelorette weekend

The house and amenities were even better than expected! It was a perfect gathering space for a group of friends. So many hang out areas, a dining table long enough for all of us! A couple major highlights; the hot tub, the trails on the property, the kitchen (we cooked all weekend), the comfortable beds and all the living rooms. After check out we headed to old man’s cave for a nice short hike before hitting the road. I can’t wait to have another reason to gather a group of friends and come to Crockett’s Run!!

Hocking Hills Bauer Property

8 of us (4 couples) enjoyed out trip into Logan and its neighborhood towns. The house we stayed in was very well equipped and was all we wanted for a short weekend trip. The trail at the back in the woods, the fire pit and hot tub were all enjoyed very much. Recommend this to anybody looking for a small getaway.

Family time getaway

Our family of 12 stayed at Morehead for 4 days. We enjoyed conversation on the back patio and cornhole on the hill. The teenage cousins played board games and cards games at the large kitchen table where we all also ate wonderful meals together. We used the charcoal grill for burgers and brats and drank coffee and adult drinks on the nice sized patio that fit all of us. Some of our group went to Old Man's Cave and Conkle's Hollow for some hiking and since we were so close, we took our oldest to Ohio University in Athens for a college visit. It was a wonderful getaway and a really nice place to unplug for some quality family time!

Fun place for a family gathering

Our family chose this cabin as it was in a central location for our adult children and their families to get together. We had a group of 7 adults and 3 children ages 3 and under. The property was beautiful and provided a relaxing and fun vacation for us with many activities available in the area, and a beautiful property to enjoy hiking, fishing, and camp fires. We had a wonderful time!
