About this property
Newly renovated lake-view home in quiet neighborhood near the beach
The house is in the Gardens of Gulf Cove, a quiet neighborhood that has much to offer you. Your free visitor pass gives you access to the two swimming pools (one is heated), tennis courts, rec room, gym, and much more.
The house is located across from a small lake where birds frequently visit. A pair of Sandhill Cranes are frequent visitors.
A small, screened-in front entry way allows you to unload your luggage and groceries without getting wet should it happen to be raining.
Upon entering the home a large, tastefully decorated living room with plenty of seating greets you. The living room is open to the dining room behind it. An archway then leads to the large, modestly-well equipped kitchen to the left of the dining room. The kitchen has plenty of counter space for food preparation and cabinetry for storage. The kitchen opens to a reading nook with a comfortable sofa which provides ample sleeping area for a child.
The reading nook leads to a small hallway which leads to a bathroom with tub/shower combo, vanity and storage cabinets in which you will find plenty of towels, washcloths, and cleaning products. This hallway also leads to a large bedroom with a queen bed, 2 night stands, a large closet, and a 3-drawer chest that has extra bed linens.
The nook also opens to the windowed lanai/sunroom which then opens to a large patio area in the back. There is a gas grill, patio table, and chairs in the lanai which can be taken to the patio. Obviously, the gas grill should be used outdoors only.
To the left of the living room is the IN THE HOUSE laundry room with washer and dryer. (Note that laundry rooms r usually located in the garage in this part of Florida.) There is also a clothesline in the back on the patio pergola, for hanging up wet items from the beach. It can also be used by those who like to hang out clothes to dry. Clothes pins are in a plastic bin on the kitchen peninsula.
To the front of the laundry room is the garage where you will find folding beach chairs and a cooler. Note that garage parking is NOT available.
The huge master suite is on the right of the living room. It is equipped with a king bed, 2 night stands with table lamps, a large dresser, and a huge walk-in closet. The dresser contains extra bed linens.
The master bath has a large single-sink vanity with plenty of storage space. The over-sized walk-in shower has a grab bar, a seat, and a hand-held shower head with multiple settings. There are also grab bars by the toilet.
The neighbors are very friendly and are more than willing to help you in any way.

We are a retired couple from up north and we HATE snow.
Why they chose this property
We chose to buy this house because it has a lovely lake view out the front window and from the front lanai. It is close enough to 5 area beaches, yet a little “off the beaten path” so as to avoid some of the craziness that often accompanies beach areas.
There is a nice shopping plaza with Publix (a grocery store), a beauty shop, a pharmacy, and some other shops less than a mile away. Dollar Tree and Home Depot are one mile away. Winn-Dixie (another grocery) is 3 mi toward Englewood. It has delicious meat. Something from the meat department is on sale every weekend. Make sure that u sign up for their rewards point card to avail yourself of these and many other specials. Between the house and the Winn-Dixie is a new Dollar General.
We are also close to Englewood Community Hospital.
We like the home owners’ association here because they keep the area looking nice and they sponsor numerous activities including dances and community lunches at various restaurants. It is organized so as to have many of the advantages of a gated community without most of the drawbacks.

What makes this property unique
We have really good neighbors around us. We all look out for each other without butting into each others’ business. Our neighbors would be glad to answer questions for you.
The house is also far enough away from the main highway so that you don’t hear road noise. There is plenty to do here if you want to join in activities, or you may venture out to one of the many nearby beaches or walk the many trails in the area. You may enjoy a quiet day relaxing at the beach, rent kayaks, take a fishing charter, or enjoy the nightlife at Englewood Beach and on Dearborn Street in Englewood. There are too many fabulous restaurants in the area to mention here. We will leave a list of our favorites on the refrigerator for you. A Wendy’s and a McDonald’s are less than a mile from the house, and Domino’s pizza is less than two miles away.
Just down the road is Tringali Park. For a modest fee you can play pickle ball, take an exercise class, or play tennis.
Are you an avid birder? The Great Florida Birding Trail is nearby. Additionally, one can see many different bird species by just sitting in the front yard. We have even seen an eagle here.
There is a great Visitors’ Center on Indiana Ave in Englewood. The staff is well-versed on special events in the area and can recommend day trips.
