one week in Maui

Is it high ,but when you are watching the leaping whales in front of you while enjoying an adult beverage, luxury is a matter of experience over high end finishes. Will continue to return.

Reviewer Comments: Our family of four (2 children 8 and 2) loved our time at Lokelani it has beautiful views, the beach is so close and great snorkeling so you don’t have to go anywhere to enjoy a day at the beach. It was quiet, had a clean pool and it’s in a great Central location.

The perfect spot

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I now visit the islands once a year and always stay at Lokelani. This year we rented units #C206 (two bedroom)and C201 (one bedroom.) The location is incredible, right on a small semi-private beach and within walking distance of Bad *** Coffee and Papi’s Ohana (the best cinnamon rolls around!) The atmosphere is very relaxed and the accommodations are always excellent. Working with management for reservations has always been a pleasure. I recommend this property to anyone wanting to have the perfect vacation stay.

We were able to see a turtle almost every day of our 6 days and we were lucky enough to see a monk seal come in and take a nap...right there at the condo's beach! The sunset view EVERY night is amazing. The condo was well-stocked, clean, and spacious. We will definitely be back!

Amazing Family Experience

Reviewer Comments: 13 members of our family, which included 7 of our grandchildren, gathered at this favorite spot to have one of the most memorable experiences we have ever had. With the sand shifted directly in front of our condo it afforded a front row seat to the paddle boarding, boogie boarding, sand castle building and just playing together. We played and ate our meals together and simply connected and enjoyed. With turtles playing us a visit daily and the different sunsets nightly, it all provided us a little piece of heaven we will not ever forget.

Celebrating Mom

The highlight of our time was our feast in the barbecue area where we ate seafood and toasted the selfless and most treasured matriarch of our family that made us who we are. It was culminated with the most beautiful sunset of the week and we know Mom was with us all. It is a time we will never forget! Thank you Lokelani for providing the perfect place for the precious time!

Relaxing getaway

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The property is slightly dated but is well-kept, comfortable and has all the amenities for a quiet stay in Maui. It is in a small condo complex/mostly rentals that attract couples and families. Even though our unit C101 was right by the pool it went mostly unused by everyone, it seems most renters stayed out the whole day. The waterfront porch/ lanai gave a lot of privacy, it was relaxing watching the sunsets and starry nights. The beach is tiny and rocky, visibility is poor but can make out some wildlife while snorkeling. We named the sea turtle Antonio tortugas. Thanks for an unforgettable vacation!

2/10 Horrible

Sorry, can't recommend it.

We stayed from June 7 through June 14, 2011. It was a very well maintained, clean, well supplied and nicely decorated condo. The ocean view was remarkable. Our only complaint was the air conditioning unit, which we paid an additional $15.00 per day to use. It worked very poorly and never cooled the room below 82 degrees. It had been preset to "low" and could not be adjusted. We will not stay there again and cannot recommend it to those who are willing to pay extra for air conditioning.

We pride ourselves here at Lokelani on customer service and promptly addressing ANY issues which may arise. We cannot predict equipment failure, but we can fix it if it is brought to our attention. If it is not reported, we do not know to fix it. The AC unit was replaced as soon as we where aware that it was not working properly. If a problem ever does arise which cannot be fixed in a prompt and timely manner, we will move our guests to a comparable or better unit. We want everyone leaving our condo full of the Aloha Spirit and we do everything in our power to provide the perfect home base for the perfect Maui vacation.

A great Maui Vaca

Reviewer Comments: We had a fantastic stay at this waterfront condo the location of the unit was absolutely perfect.The private beach is perfect for a day of snorkeling and turtle watching.You will need to buy or rent lawn chairs and beach umbrella as this unit does not provide them. Go to Costco to purchase them as its cheaper than renting them.Staff are very friendly and helpful any issues are taken care of immediately.The unit does need an update it showing its age but that did not affect our stay there.Rent a car as its a short drive to many beautiful beaches and shopping.Sit back relax and enjoy!

Unit C101 and 102

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had two condos next door to each other. They were both clean and well stocked with a starter supply. The view is spectacular! Bree, the property manager, was exceptional. She responds to your calls immediately. The maintenance man, Herb, was great. When we needed help after a power outage, he came over immediately and fixed the issue. The unit needs some repair on the shower doors and closet doors as one side of each won’t move. It would be nice to have a chair in the living room so you have something to sit on other than a hide a bed. That would be at the owners discretion and not the manger.

Fabulous Location

Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: couldnt have been a better location for our two week stay. This unit is beside the walkway and gate for access to the ocean by other guests at this condo. Unfortunately several of the guests slam the noisy gate. Also noise from unit above unit is sometimes disturbing. Insects in unit even after exterminator. Emailed the management company and was told "That sometimes happens".Furniture outdated and smells. Bathroom and floors are dirty. Cleaning between guests may only be vacumming. Floor grout in bathroom is black in traffic area. Shower has black spots on grout.

So sorry to hear that you had this experience. I wish you would have contacted us regarding your issues so they could have been addressed. Our cleaning crew does an amazing job and all other reviews show this. The insects here in the tropics are an issue that we work on remedying all the time.

Great Condo

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We loved this unit. The pictures are exactly as it looks the web. The only down part was the amount of tiny tiny ant like buds ALL over the counters in the kitchen, bathroom, crossing over the fridge and the wall in the bedroom. If they would come and spray more frequently I’m sure that would help the issue. They did put a notice on the door 3 days before our check out date about coming to spray but due the weather it didn’t happen. Understandable. But maybe before people move in make sure those bugs won’t be crawling over dishes and tooth brushes. You would wipe them off with your hand and you’d have a pile on your hand. Outside of that, this unit was beautiful and clean. Washer and Dryer were amazing. The view is amazing! This units does not come with beach toys or chaisr or anything like that so you’ll need to go to boss frogs for that but it wasn’t too expensive to rent. The pool was nice for the kids always clean and quiet. They keep the grounds really clean and tidy. We would definitely come back to stay in this unit.
