{This property is offered by Stewart Mountain Lodging in combination with several other properties nearby.}

Beautiful cabin, perfect location. It's secluded at the end of a quiet private lane. Walk out the front door to a deck overlooking the mountain stream and totally surrounded by huge old growth pines. Enjoy a REAL wood burning fireplace, beautiful kitchen, and great decor throughout. And what's more, this cabin is less than a five minute walk to the Sundance Resort, (one of the closest of all private rentals). There is no better location on the entire mountain.

This property, offered by Stewart Mountain Lodging, comes with access to other amenities and properties nearby. You'll love our Zip Line Swing and Fire Pit, not to mention the personal hospitality and gracious guest services of your mountain hosts. We would love to share this beautiful place with you.

We offer SIX properties in close proximity to each other in Big Pine Canyon, just a 5 minute walk from the Sundance Resort. All 6 properties are within a few hundred feet of each other, making this the perfect setting for a group stay, family reunion, wedding, business retreat, or just a bunch of good friends.

Discount rates may apply when booking multiple properties through Stewart Mountain Lodging. Collectively, these cabins can sleep up to 30 guests.

Just a 2 minute walk from Big Pine Canyon is Stewart Park. Actually, this is the Stewart family property right next to Sundance where Brad's dad built a cabin in 1938. Seventy years later, the cabin was taken out by a large cottonwood tree that made a direct hit on the cabin. The cabin was torn down a few years back, but we left the original Fire Place.

The ZIP LINE SWING is a favorite of the kids. Safe but thrilling, the swing travels across the stream, up the other side of the hill and returns safely back to the other side. It's even fun in the wintertime.

The North Fork stream runs directly through this beautiful setting with eight pools and waterfalls, making this an absolute spectacular place to hang out in the summer months. Guests of Stewart Mountain Lodging are welcome to enjoy this little slice of heaven.

Streamside Trail to the Sundance Resort.

From Stewart Park, you can follow the short trail along the stream right to the Sundance Resort. We're talking maybe a 3 or 4 minute walk.

Why Stewart Mountain Lodging chose Provo

Brad's family, the Stewart's, are the original settlers that homesteaded the area now known as Sundance. Brad's uncle Ray started the Timp Haven Ski Resort that was later sold to Robert Redford in 1969, which is now Sundance. The Stewart family has savored this canyon's magic for over 100 years. Our Creekside cabin is the perfect place to share this magic with our guests.

What makes this cabin unique

Creekside Cabin is right on the creek and stays very cool throughout the summer. It has a large deck and fire pit for roasting marshmallows and hot dogs. It's a short walk to the Sundance Resort and one of 5 properties we offer in a quiet lane with a stream running through it.

Wonderful weekend!

  • 5 of 5

We rented the Creekside Cabin to attend a wedding at neighboring Sundance Resort and could not have been more pleased with the experience. The location was excellent (3 minute drive; 5-7 minute walk to the resort); very easy to find with ample parking for our three rental cars. The cabin itself was great - clean, comfortable, and complete with all the basic supplies/amenities. We particularly enjoyed the hot tub! Highly recommend!

Owner's Response: Thank you for sharing your experience Caroline. We love to hear everything was perfect for the weekend and we hope the wedding was just as nice! We know you were a long way from home as our favorite neighbors north of the boarder but hope you find yourselves this way again sometime. Thanks again for finding us in Sundance.

Simply Wow - Don't Question, Just Book

  • 5 of 5

We stayed in the Creekside Cabin February 8 - 11th, 2018. From the getgo the Stewart mountain Lodging team was easily accessible and eager to assist. Wyatt was quick to respond to emails & inquiries, and was more than knowledgeable in the area itself - his input was invaluable to us for planning our trip as far as excursions, rentals, and supplies. As we got closer to our booking, Allie was prompt to help us get in and situated in what is easily the most charming cabin our group of four have ever stayed in.

The cabin itself is the most walkable to the Sundance Resort. It was less than half a mile, which our snowboarders trekked on multiple occasions. It's about a ten minute walk to the Owl Bar (located inside Sundance), which is the closest establishment for casual dining. We were located about 20 minutes from either of the closest towns, but there is a fire station across from the resort in case of emergency. You're definitely in a remote area, so plan accordingly: upon leaving the SLC airport and picking up our rental car, we stopped and stocked up on our groceries for the duration of our stay.

Don't be fooled by the outside - we were concerned about the size until we actually entered. The main floor consisted of the spacious kitchen, dropdown living room, bedroom with a twin and full-size bed, laundry room and bathroom.

Up a spiral staircase you can find a full-sized bathroom and the two bedrooms containing the queen sized beds. One bedroom leads to a little loft area and an outside balcony.

Wooo doggy!! In the world of vacation rentals, it's always a crapshoot - we're a group of four wanderlust-filled adults who've seen the majority of rentals containing only salt and a spare pillow. NOT THE CASE at the Creekside Cabin. Not only did we get a darling letter and a loaf of fresh sourdough, jam, and candies, all the seasonings and condiments you could want were already in the fridge - whether those things were from previous renters or not, who cares? The kitchen was fully stocked on plates, cooking tools and the like.

Hot tub would fit 5 adults easily, grill worked great, bathrobes were from Pottery Barn, stoneware was from Williams Sonoma, pillow covers were Tommy Hilfiger.

FINAL WORD: The cabin was comfortable and had an air of understated elegance. Our trip was complete with a broken wrist, lost phones, and delayed flights and we STILL walked away with amazing memories due to the Creekside cabin and SM team.

Quaint cabin nestled next to Sundance resort

  • 5 of 5

This 3 bedroom + loft cabin provided a cozy, quiet vacation retreat. Nestled next to Sundance resort, it allowed us reasonable access to a variety of ski areas (Deer Valley, Park City, Brighton) while remaining out of the hectic throngs of other holiday vacationers. The beds were incredibly comfortable, the kitchen was stocked with essential items, and the hot tub was a soothing relief for sore muscles. A wood burning fireplace adds to the ambience of this charmingly decorated cabin. Our gracious hosts checked to make sure everything was good and offered any help needed (answered texts promptly) but were not intrusive. We were delighted with the fresh bread, jam, and other treats when we arrived after a long day of traveling. We would definitely stay here again!

Owner's Response: We are so happy you found us in Sundance and fell in love with one more spot in Utah. You may have been one of our more active guests with all the adventures you found in the area. You've inspired us to do some marketing for the Olympic Village in Park City so more guests will know that is an option to experience. Remember about the horse back riding this summer and we will see you then. Thanks and happy holidays! Wyatt and everyone at Stewart Mtn Lodging

Great vacation spot

  • 5 of 5

We absolutely loved our stay at the Creekside Cabin. The house is beautiful inside and out and we really enjoyed the deck/hot tub overlooking the creek. There was plenty to do in the area during the summer but we spent several mornings and evenings just relaxing at the house. The Stewart Mountain Lodging park with a kid-friendly zip line was so much fun. We had lots of extended family visit and we had the park to ourselves. SML was helpful in planning our activities. Great vacation!

Owner's Response: Thank you Beth! You were all so wonderful and we loved having you stay with us. We hope this becomes an annual event and the next reunion can take place here with more extended family. Enjoy the rest of your summer and stay in touch. Thanks for sharing your experience. Wyatt and SML Crew!

Great cabin!

  • 5 of 5

We actually only ended up spending a couple hours here instead of an entire weekend! The power went out to the cabin (a rare occurrence and only because it snowed more in Sundance over the preceding few days than it had in many, many years!) and we were moved to a different location. However, since we were able to see the property and have an EXCEPTIONAL experience with the company managing it, I felt it appropriate to leave a review here. This cabin is adorable and delightful. The stairs are narrow and it is a spiral staircase -- just be aware in case you have toddlers or people with difficulty walking up and down stairs; it is also worth noting that the living room is sunken with 2 stairs leading down to it as this could also be a hazard for some. If those details do not deter you (and please note that there are 2 bedrooms on the main floor so if someone would have issues with the spiral staircase, it is still not a reason to completely exclude this property), just book it already! The cabin is beautiful. The setting is delightful. The company is perfect and knows the meaning of "customer service". We were so impressed! Thank you, Wyatt, Aly, and Vicki!

Absolutely gorgeous, well appointed home in the ultimate location.

  • 5 of 5

We only had time for two nights in this creek side cabin but they were incredible. The location of this home in Sundance is unbeatable. So close to everything yet a feeling of seclusion. The creek location and all the amenities at this home make it a gem.

Wonderful appliances, comfy beds, hot tub, fire ring, satellite tv, clean and comfortable living. What else could you need. Daily visits by deer and turkey made our soul happy. Fantastic all around, thanks for sharing this home!

Car: recommended

This property is one of the closest private rentals to the Sundance Resort. What's more, it's located at the end of a private lane, very secluded with no traffic noise, yet close enough to the main road to provide easy access, a particular advantage in the winter months.

This property, offered by Stewart Mountain Lodging, comes with access to other amenities and properties nearby. You'll love our Zip Line Swing and Fire Pit, not to mention the personal hospitality and gracious guest services of your mountain hosts. We would love to share this beautiful place with you.

Other Activities: Snowboarding, Cross Country Skiing, Snowmobiling, Downhill/Alpine Skiing, Health Spa, Snow Shoeing, Sledding.

Do you love to hike? The area surrounding Sundance and Mount Timpanogos is a premium hiking venue. From short day hikes to Stewart Falls (suitable for young kids) to hiking to the summit of Mt. Timpanogos (12,000 ft) there is an endless network of groomed hiking trails in close proximity.

Golf: As mountain people we're not avid golfers. But,within 20 minutes of Sundance there are at least 5 great golf courses.

Soldier Hollow Golf Course - A beautiful course located where the 2002 Olympics Nordic Event was held. A 15 minute drive from Sundance.

Wasatch Mountain Golf Course - Located in the mountains of Midway, this is a spectacular scenic course. A 20 minute drive from Sundance.

Homestead Resort Golf Course - Also located in the quaint Swiss town of Midway, this is a favorite of the locals and guests alike.

Ski: Skiing at Sundance. Well, as Robert Redford proclaims, 'it's skiing the way it used to be'. No high speed quads here, but then the view riding the lift is sooo spectacular, you don't mind the leisurely lift ride.

This is the perfect place for beginners to advance skiers. Kids love this place, and ski school is second to none. Advance skiers hang out on the back mountain where the Arrowhead lift ascends to the summit.

The BearClaw cabin, located on the Arrowhead summit serves great food, wine, beer and snacks. On weather friendly days, the locals hang out on the deck with 360 panoramic view with a little wine and cheese and soak in the sun.

The expert terrain from the Arrowhead Summit(8200 ft.)is comparable to any Utah class ski area. Maybe not as much acreage, but the scenery makes up for it. Sundance was named one of the most scenic ski resorts in the world by Conde Nast Traveler magazine.
