Excellent Stay Close to Everything
The property is superclose to both beaches and hiking in the state park. Fully equipped kitchen in a quiet development a short jaunt from the pool. This place is close to perfect.
Great location and home away from home!
This place has everything you need to have a great stay -- we made coffee in the mornings, cooked, etc. Loved being able to explore the North Shore from this home base and also being very close to Foodland :). Appreciated the beach equipment available as well. No A/C but many fans.
Nicely upgraded, convenient spot
I needed a quick one night stay and this property owner allowed that. What a relief! It is nicely upgraded and fit our needs perfectly.
Clean Condo with everything you need
This unit was clean and provided most of the amenities you need for your stay. It appears that it was also recently remodeled. No AC, but, LOTS of fans and great cross ventilation made for a comfortable stay. Kitchen has everything you need and more, toaster, blender, etc... We discovered a small cooler, 2 snorkel masks, 2 beach chairs, and 2 Boogie boards in the pantry. Only item missing is an umbrella and a large cooler. We stopped by Kapaa Beach Shop on the way to grab those for $25 weekly. Another good trick is to get a large bag of ice from the store for your cooler and the. Put it in the freezer each nigh, our one bag of ice lasted 6 days and barely melted. Pool is nice and cool and the hot tub is nice and hot. Neighbors are all very friendly and social if you also choose to be. The mattress is new and firm. Pillows are plentiful, even more in the closet, they are high quality too. Lots of guide books about Kauai under the coffee table as well. Bengie, the dog is always happy to play, and the neighbors cat will make a visit. However, don’t feed the cat at all, and he immediately will learn to leave you alone and not beg. Upstairs unit does appear to have a local couple with a baby that likes to cry once in a while, but, what baby doesn’t. Overall, this is a great unit that is in a quiet complex and is very clean. Oh, one more thing. If you want to check out the “Queens Bath”, if low tide is in the AM, go early around sunrise before the small parking lot fills up. Careful also if it has rained at all, the trail and rocks to get there can get real slick, however, it’s totally worth the hike! The gate appears to always be locked due to entitled homeowners complaining, so there is a cut path around the fence that will give you access. Also, the Holo Holo dinner cruise out of Port Allen was worth every penny!
Great place to stay
We enjoyed our stay and would recommend to others. The condo had everything we could ask for except one thing - a broom! Other than that, it was great - clean, comfortable, and convenient.
A lovely, very well furnished condo-spacious and comfortable for a two week stay.
Always love to come back to the North Shore and Sandpiper village is as easy going as it gets. Note to self for the future, though: get an upstairs unit! We hear every sound from above, especially from jet lagged babies. But that’s not anybody’s fault, really... Will be back...to the second floor condo.
