Why John McMahon chose Ketchikan

I've had a Bed and Breakfast here for over three years. I enjoy meeting new guest and making their stay as enjoyable as possible. The location is perfect because its a short walk to the city center and a short walk in the other direction to Safeway, Plaza Mall and some good restaurants. The historic location, Captains Hill, was named because back in 1930's most of the homes were occupied by salmon and halibut captains. The view is to die for and it never gets old. Watching all the vessel traffic sail by, cruise ships, state ferries, fishing boats, private yachts and kayakers makes for a viewing spectacle that is just out of this world. The summer sunsets and the eagles hovering overhead makes this home, The View, one of the top rated spots to stay.
