Brianna - December 2018
"Lisa's guest house is the perfect launching point for day trips to Yosemite. The apartment is super clean and has everything you need to cook and relax with family or friends (lots of books, boardgames etc. are a great touch!). Lisa was a very responsive host, and the whole property is stunning. I will definitely be visiting again!"
Yoni - November 2018
"We had a wonderful time staying at Lisa's place! It's spacious and well-equipped, and the shower and beds were very comfortable. We're looking forward to coming back here!"
Retta - October 2018
"We had a wonderful time at the Alkatebellina. The home had numerous amenities; a well-stocked kitchen, access to washer/dryer (or clothesline), WiFi, and so many books! The sunsets were beautiful and the animals were friendly (especially Crookshanks). The Alkatebellina is an hour (or less) away from Yosemite Valley, Mariposa Grove, and Bass Lake. Lisa was an amazing host with a great sense of humor. Thank you for having us, Lisa."
Jana - November 2018
"What a cute place! So secluded, great views, comfortable and a great host! We will be back!"
Natalia - September 2018
"Lisa’s place is a fantastic place to stay if you want to relax. You have everything you need if you want to cook something; the kitchen is fully stocked with pots and pans. The balcony has some amazing views of the hilly terrain and it’s a great place for stargazing. It is very close to Yosemite and it’s very easy to get to."
Agnes - September 2018
"This home is top notch. It was very clean and we had everything we needed. Our host was very helpful and gracious."
SUMMARY:
This beautiful space is just 32 miles from Yosemite National Park! We have great views, ambiance and a lovely outdoor space. Enjoy games, books, seasonal fresh eggs, at Alkatebellina. At our mountain retreat, you can look forward to amazing night skies and sunsets.
This space is great for anyone looking to explore Yosemite or the quaint, historic town of Mariposa. Couples, solo adventurers, tourists and families (with kids) are welcome.
THE SPACE:
Our space is a full second story over a large, detached garage. It is a lovely, private space, with a full porch overlooking the Sierra Nevada foothills.
The kitchen is well equipped, and the main house is in proximity for anything at all you may need.
There is a full bathroom, large, comfortable living space, a Murphy Bed if you need the extra space!
One of my favorite parts of this space are the new, amazingly comfortable beds, making sure you'll feel well rested for exploring Yosemite the next day!
GUEST ACCESS:
Guests have full access to the private second story of this space, you are also welcome to enjoy the tranquil full yard and porches.
We have 10 wooded acres of land here in Mariposa which you are encouraged to explore, and we'd be happy to direct you to a cleared path that loops the whole property.
GUEST INTERACTION:
Feel free to ask us anything: send a message, email or just come over and knock on our door!
THE NEIGHBORHOOD
OVERVIEW:
The charm of this spot is that it is pretty secluded. You would be hard pressed to see any houses, except for where you are staying and our family's home across the way. We have a beautiful and private area with very few other residents nearby.
GETTING AROUND:
The only public transportation in Mariposa is YARTS which goes from Mariposa to Yosemite Valley. This is highly recommended as parking in Yosemite is limited and can take a lot of time and cause frustration. This is time you could be exploring the beauty around you! Feel free to ask how and where to use YARTS or look up the website (search YARTS Mariposa) for information.
