About the property

House, 3 Bdrms, 2.25 Baths, (Sleeps 7 in beds +2) Dock, Water Toys, Wifi

This beautiful home sits on a little point in Carlin Bay and boasts wonderful views of the lake from almost every room. It has a southern exposure, so you can soak up the sunshine all day long.

The house has central air conditioning in all three bedrooms which will allow you to sleep comfortably. The ensuite master has a king bed. One room has an antique double bed and the other room has a double/single bunk. There is a pop up full in the living room.

The country kitchen opens onto a spacious deck, just the right spot to enjoy a meal or watch the sunset with wine from our local winery that we have waiting for you. In the grassy front yard, sit in the shade of the pines and read a book or take a nap in the hammock. In the evening, roast marshmallows in the fire pit or BBQ up a yummy meal.

The house sits up on a hillside and has a maintained trail to the beach. The beach is in its natural state (basalt rock), a deck was built that leads out to the floating dock. We have some fun water toys like the Aqua Lily Pad, (2) SUP's and 2 kayaks for you to enjoy with plenty of chairs, a table, and shade.

This home is well stocked with spices, basic kitchen food items like olive oil, sugar, salt, flour & paper products as we want you to feel right at home. We are pleased to provide you with doTERRA hair and body care products. We strive to be as 'green' as we can be using only cleaning products that are safe for the environment.

This home is ideal for a single family or two or three couples.

If you will be bringing a boat please contact me for information about the Invasive Species Sticker and launching fees that are now required on Lake Coeur d'Alene. If bringing your furry loved one please call before booking. Please read our owner story.

About Suanne Harns

Hi,

My name is Suanne and I am the owner of Lake Front Property Management. I have been assisting other homeowners with their summer rentals for about 15+ years. I enjoy helping people plan their summer vacation on the lake.

Suanne Harns purchased this house in 1993

Why Suanne Harns chose Lake Coeur d'Alene

My husband Mark and I moved to North Idaho in 1991 from San Diego, California. We had two small children and the dream to build a home in Carlin Bay. We built our home with the intention of someday having a bed and breakfast when the kids were grown. The house is 3 levels and has a locked off apartment in the daylight basement in which we live in during the summer months. I had started to manage other lake front homes for summer rentals and after the kids were off to college we decided that we too would offer our home for summer rentals. Instead of making it a bed and breakfast it is now a 3 bedroom 2.5 bathroom home that rents only during the summer months.

What makes this house unique

We are pet lovers and like to allow our guests to bring their small furry loved one with a pet fee of $100 per dog. This house has a nice grassy front yard that most lake front homes don't offer. We have lots of water toys that are available to our guests. We found that our guests appreciated the personal contact and information we could share about the area.

Guestbook comments from the owner

Thank you so much for opening your beautiful home up for visitors to enjoy. This week has been a bounty of adventure - boating, floating, biking, laughing and memory making.

Your home is a home away from home - one wants for nothing! We leave with the fondest of memories and the greatest desire to return.

Many, many thanks,

Jane, Jeff, Eric & Julia

Fabulous Lakeside Retreat

  • 5 of 5

This is a place that we never wanted to leave. Perfectly situated on the lake with gorgeous views from every window, it had everything you could ask for a lakeside retreat. We spent two weeks and didn't go out to dinner once because it was too hard to leave the beautiful sunset views. And of course, Mark and Suanne are warm and gracious hosts. We highly recommend this property for a great stay on Lake Coeur D'Alene!

Great location, very clean and up to date too!!!!

  • 5 of 5

The property exactly as listed. Very clean and up to date. We thoroughly enjoyed this house and the Carlin Bay location. The owners couldn't be more nice. We have rented for five years on CDA and Hayden Lake and this is the best owners we have met. I would recommend this house and these owners to everyone.

Relaxing

  • 5 of 5

Having the owners downstairs was a bit odd, but they were lovely and we barely knew there were there. The accommodations were perfect and other than a steep climb from the dock to the house, we were able to relax and enjoy the beautiful setting.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your kind words, and we enjoyed you as guests. I am assuming you might not have read clearly on the site where it does state we live on the property or the other reviews where they mention us. We are glad you had a good time.

Point Harns was on point!

  • 5 of 5

We were looking for a place to gather my married kids and their families on the water. Point Harns checked off our every wish list box. The cumfy chair next to the large window get moments of reflection and quiet solace. So from the inviting home and family space to the dock, "kiddie pool", water toys and picnic are waterside this made our family get together a complete blast and enjoyable for all whether 53 yrs old or 19 months, we all hated to leave. A great choice for a relaxing time family time at a well cared for home this is it!
