February 2020 Stay

Right when we pulled up we were in awe, and then stepping inside this house was even more delightful! Beautifully decorated and nice and clean. We made so many wonderful memories with our friends and family. Such an easy walk to the beautiful beach! We didn’t want to leave!

Our family had a WONDERFUL time at Seaglass!! The house is absolutely beautiful, access to the beach was so easy, and we were able to give our teenage boys the whole 3rd floor. Never heard them laugh so much!! Thank you for a great trip!

Seaglass was perfect setting for housing 3 generations of our family at the beach. The home is big enough to allow everyone some privacy when it's time to rest. Access to golf cart, bikes, and beach club made for easy beach access and ability for individuals to come and go on their own schedule. We hope to stay here again but with more grandkids on the way we may outgrow it.

Second year was as good as the first

We have visited Watersound for the past 5 summers but haven’t stayed here, so we were delightfully surprised at this beautiful home! It was more than we expected! Beautiful large bedrooms, great pool and porch, exceptional gas grill, plenty of cooking utensils and chef’s kitchen, more than enough room for the eight of us, and the pool table was a nice extra! The golf cart helped us get to the beach quickly, and our children enjoyed the freedom of riding their bikes to the park or the putting green. Watersound is such a secure, safe environment! We definitely want to return to this lovely home!

The gated community allows for a less crowded beach.The bikes provided and pool were enjoyed by all.The house was perfect for our family gathering including several adults and small grandchildren. There is plenty of room for each family to have their quiet space for napping babies. The kitchen works well for large groups. (One suggestion would be to have coffee filters provided and more than one kitchen towel. ) We would definitely enjoy coming back.

Incredible house!!!!

We were all in awe as soon as we walked into this stunning beach home. The downstairs alone is incredibly well-structured. The lay out is so easy to navigate, and the design elements and decorations make it so comfortable and relaxing. Laundry downstairs is set so that you don't hear or see it while hanging out in the kitchen...Pool and patio area was the perfect size for our many kids...kitchen appliances, pantry, island, and table provided ample space for serving and seating all the guests. I could go on and on. The noise from any of the upstairs floors is impressively buffered by good insulation. We all laughed at the leg workouts we got from the stairs, because you couldn't just yell for someone upstairs; you had to actually walk up there to get their attention. I can't say enough positive things about this place. It's a must-see-for-yourself! The golf cart provided easy access to the nearby pool and beach, as well as making it easy for us to cart our towels and toys. Bikes and pool toys galore, neighbors and staff are friendly, so much to go see and do in nearby towns. I'm trying to think of a critique to balance out this review, but there was nothing lacking or disappointing. Plenty of bath towels, blankets, beds, pillows, laundry and dishwasher detergent for 2 loads each if I remember correctly. We had one windy day at the beach, and even that was fine because it prevented us from being too hot and we got to fly kites. Incredible house and location. Can't recommend it enough.

Perfect House

We will definitely reserve this house again. The set up was perfect for our group. So beautifully decorated and convenient to everything. The property company was extremely helpful and accommodating and we will definitely rent through them again. The best community for families to relax and have fun.

Perfect home for a large family!

We stayed at SeaGlass in the week following Labor Day. Our family is eight with grown children. This house was perfect. Things we really liked. 1) It's spacious, everyone had a favorite corner, the pool or the billiards room or the top lookout deck, or the one of many decks. In fact there were some rooms we never used! 2) it's tastefully decorated. The flooring is gorgeous. All the kitchen appliances up to date and functional. The furniture is modern & comfortable 3) All beach toys included, bikes, golf cart, boogie boards, etc. 4). Watersound is a beautiful beach & location. Lots of fantastic dunes, environmentally conscience development. Nearby to great restaurants & grocery store ( very important when you have 4 boys!). Things we griped about 1) distance to the beach- well it's a walk you probably only want to do twice. The golf cart helps a lot. 2) Beach service at Watersound is $40/day! (If you rent through St. Joe then it's $25- although I'm not sure this property is available through them). 3) The day after a heavy rain the beach water turned s weird brown/red color. This is from the lake overflowing it's embankment.. Apparently happens quite frequently. It's safe to swim (at least according to the beach service guys) but doesn't look pretty. I'd stay here again!

A unique property with all sorts of features to enjoy

Having had our mountain home in a vacation rental program we are somewhat unique in commenting as both owners and renters. Watersound got it right with Seaglass. Location, location, location is perfect with adequate space for 10 or more without getting in each others way. A short stroll to the neighborhood pool, beach or shopping or stay home, open a cool one and enjoy the pool and deck off the family room. Tastefully decorated with complementary artwork of paintings, sculpture and nautical models. In very good shape for a popular rental site (owners will want to have mgmt. tend to blown light bulbs and bring in the carpenter to reengage hinges on some cabinet doors --that's good preventive maintenance) Plenty of storage for your beach wardrobe and victuals (ambient, refrigerated and frozen) Spectacular views and breezes from the tower or stop off and play a little 8 ball as you walk up. Renters should request removal of car in the garage for those of us driving in . You will want the garage space. Use the golf cart and bikes -great way to get around and not offered in many rentals. Eighteen holes at the nearby Fazio designed Camp Creek Club another great view but not easy on my mediocre game. Our family searched many sites in Watersound. You can't beat Seaglass and we look forward to returning. Andy and Dee GA

Great time!

Sea Glass is a top notch rental property. We had 11 people who stayed there over Easter break and there was more than enough room for all. It seemed that they thought of everything when it came to comfort and convenience. There were plenty of areas for lounging, and the beds were very comfortable. The laundry/mud/sand room area was so nice, with ample space for all the beach items, coolers, etc. Having two refigerators was wonderful! The ice machine was another huge plus!! Although the weather was not perfect, the accommodations were!

Excellent Customer Service

Our vacation at Seaglass was wonderful. The house was beautiful and the location was super close to the beach. Our favorite thing about the house was the looking tower. The view was beautiful up there. We couldn't have asked for a better experience. This was a two family vacation, and what really made it great was the service provided by the staff at Five Star. They were so nice right from the beginning. The woman who greeted us at our arrival was very professional and knew a lot about the area. We requested a wine and cheese delivery and they brought it to us the same day. Their service is fantastic, and I definitely recommend asking them about all their services! They will really go the extra mile to make your vacation great.

We love this house!

We stayed in this beautiful house in October and had our wedding at the beach club. We rented several houses for the wedding party and guests. This was by far our favorite house and the only one with a golf cart. The house was well kept and we arranged for a party directly on the beach. The house was big enough for our party of 12. The pool was large for the area and it is a very short walk down the boardwalk to the beach. Some of us rode bikes, walked or took the golf cart. You can take the golf cart over the boardwalk and thru the dunes directly down to the beach. The house even had beach toys and floats for the kids. The wet bar off the family room was our gathering spot. There is a lake and stream with a waterfall in front of the house. There is a great view of the ocean from the tower. I recommend this house and the area is great. We appreciated the exclusive feel of the neighborhood and the on site security allowed us the comfort of letting the kids roam the neighborhood.

My favorite house and neighborhood

This is my favorite house in my favorite neighborhood. We just got back from our vacation and I miss watersound already. We arrived with two other families and jumped right in the heated pool. The house is just as described large and well laid out. This house is not decorated like a rental property. We fell in love with all the original art in the house and even asked 5 Star if we could purchase one from the owners. The house was in perfect shape and impossible to see any wear and tear I have seen in other rental properties. We took the golf cart to the beach every day and the weather was great! The kids rode the bikes which were included in the rental. We grilled every night and roasted marshmellows in the outdoor fireplace. We had one small problem and the management company came over right away and fixed the issue. Some of the area restaurants were closed because of the time of year but most were open. The neighborhood is gated and we liked the extra security. You have a great view of the ocean from the tower and we drank wine and watched the sunset from there. If you have never been to 30a the area has the best beaches in the world. The sand dunes are amazing and the kids fished in the coastal lake a short walk away. I recommend neighborhood and house to everyone.

Exceptional Home!

Wonderful stay at this fabulous home! Beautiful furnishings! Enjoyed high- end design finishes and carefully thought out floor plan. We had several couples and singles for our getaway- layout is perfect for different families traveling together, wedding groups, or college reunion vacations. We spread out on all three floors and had plenty of room. Ample parking was an added plus! Very quiet and comfortable beds and showers for a luxury trip. Technology that actually worked-we displayed pictures from laptop onto large screen TV for discussion and stayed in touch with the office. We love to cook-gourmet kitchen stocked with everything we needed-we cooked in 4 of the 5 nights! Huge dining room table with comfortable chairs. Pool area is gorgeous both day and night. Beautiful community for walking, and close drive to everything we love on 30A. Biked for hours each day. Wine in the watchtower each evening at sunset was a treat-awesome views. WaterSound is on the prettiest stretch of beach in the panhandle. Will be back with my extended family for big celebration in a few months!

Awesome experience

We have stayed at this house several times and each time we are reminded about why we love this house and the Watersound community. The owners just changed management companies to Five Star and we found the experience to be even better. They offer a resort style experience. The house has everything we look for. It is beautifully designed and decorated and we especially liked the private heated pool. The wet bar is my husbands favorite spot. You also rarely find a house that includes a golf cart, this makes it especially easy to get back and forth from the beach with your beer. We have stayed at many houses in the Destin area but we have never stayed at a house that could accommodate the two families we travel with. With 2 masters we never have to flip a coin with our friends. The kids love the pool table. We will visit again soon.

So pleased! What a great vacation in WaterSound

This home offers so much to its guests. Not only is this home beautiful, it's packed full with fun things to do right on sight, like the pool table and looking tower. The view from the looking tower is mesmerizing. The private pool was convenient, and it was surrounded by a really nice patio area were we grilled and enjoyed sitting outdoors. These unique features made our stay memorable, and we'll always want to come back to this specific house when we visit WaterSound again. The location couldn't get any better either. We were able to walk to the beach and there were great places to shop within a few minutes drive. The neighborhood itself was well taken care of and pretty quiet. I'd recommend this home for families and any type of getaway vacation.

Unreliable

This is a beautiful home in a wonderful location. Two families, in addition to my own, were very excited to book this property for a trip over the holidays with our children. A week before we were scheduled to leave for the vacation, we received a call canceling our trip. The rental company told us they were sorry for the inconvenience, gave us a full refund, and said that no other comparable properties were available. The only reason we were give for the cancelation was "maintenance." I have never experienced such poor customer service. It was the weekend before Christmas and our trip was nearly ruined. We were able to find another property in Watersound on our own but it did not have all of the amenities we were looking for in a property. We had to settle because it was now five days before our scheduled vacation and there were not many properties available on such short notice. Since we were just around the corner from this house, we walked a drove by this home every day during our stay. To our surprise, not only did we not see any signs of maintenance, but we saw cars in the driveway, holiday lights on the patio, and people occupying the residence. Do not book this property if you are looking for a reliable contract or a business that values commitment to its full paying customers. There are many other beautiful properties in Watersound that do not cancel last minute in such unprofessional and heartless manner.

Fantastic Place!

We so much enjoyed our stay at Seaglass! The house is absolutely stunning - well furnished and wonderful decor to admire. There are tons of options for activities including bikes, a pool table, and my personal favorite; a patio style dining room with a large table that is GREAT for families and friends to play games! The white sandy beach is just a quick walk down the street, and the neighborhood is filled with scenic board walks that will also get you there. This house has so many fun features and the beautiful beach will help you forget all your troubles - we can't wait to come back soon!

The perfect getaway

This house is simply amazing with so many incredible amenities. Every inch of this property is absolutely gorgeous, making it an absolute treat to stay here. With Seaside just a quick bike ride away, and so many other great places in biking/walking distance as well, staying here makes it super easy to get around on 30A. The community is charming with boardwalks running throughout and a private beach with a view that will take your breath away. You couldn't ask for a more perfect place to getaway.

Gorgeous vaction home!

My family and I spent the week at this beautiful 'Seaglass' home in Watersound and could not have been more pleased! The house is just a short walk (or golf cart ride) away from the beach with gorgeous boardwalks throughout the neighborhood! The patio and pool were some of our favorite places to hang out and relax during the day. We cannot wait until our next trip!
