Cozy and Comfortable Tahoe Cabin

Bedrooms 4
Space 1,500 sq ft
Property type cabin
Minimum Stay 2 - 4 nights

About the property

Cabin, 3 Bedrooms + Other (See Description), 2 Baths (Sleeps 8)

Adorable, remodeled, warm and cozy cabin is located just off highway 28, directly across from the lake, making it accessible even in the most snowy weather.(In summer there is lake access through a locked neighborhood gate.) Knotty cedar interior is complemented with hardwood floors and hand carved doors with scenes of Tahoe. The great room includes TV, Stereo, games, and a fully functional and efficient wood stove. Kitchen, dining and family room create an atmosphere for fun and communication for everyone (including the ''designated chef''). Two queen bedrooms and a 4 person bunkroom provide a perfect arrangement for two couples and 4 children (or less).

This cabin is a short walk to one of the lake's finest restaurants and a fun miniature golf course as well as to a local beach which allows dogs (and people too!) It is 15-20 minutes to Northstar, Alpine, Squaw Valley, Diamond Peak, and Homewood ski resorts.

About Lynn Perkins

I taught Home Ec. and Science in the bay area before moving to Tahoe for full-time residence in this 'fixer-upper' home. It is now fixed up and I'm pretty sure you will agree, NICE!

Lynn Perkins purchased this cabin in 1996

Why Lynn Perkins chose Carnelian Bay

The comments I always get : it's not like a rental, more like coming to visit a real home. There's everything anyone could want in the kitchen, The fluffy sheets are great! Warm and cozy! The kids loved the bunk room!

What makes this cabin unique

This cabin has the 'Old time Tahoe' feel with all the convenience of updates! Very cabiny but forced air heat, nice beds, good linnens. Great grohe shower heads....

nice place

  • 4 of 5

We had a wonderful winter stay. Hostess is friendly and helpful. Well-equipped - easy to cook up big meals. Dining table is a bit small for 6 people. Good location. Would stay again.

Beautiful cabin convenient to north Tahoe skiing.

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful stay in this cozy cabin between Christmas and New Years. The cabin is really well equipped and has all the comforts of home. Also very efficient use of bedrooms with cozy beds for adults and kids. It is right between Nothstar and Squaw giving easy access to ski both. We also enjoyed being near the lake and Tahoe City. Would definitely stay here again.

Awesome, big house with all the amenities of home

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful stay at the house. It was all that was promised and more! Place was big, clean, and full of things to make our stay enjoyable. The kitchen was fully stocked, lots of games, plenty of room to spread out with many beds, clean and comfortable. And we were welcomed with some home-grown tomatoes which was a very nice touch. The owner was extremely easy to work with and very accommodating. We recommend this place highly!

We had a very nice stay. The house was very cozy. Neighbors are nice. It is very near the water and stores, but also a busy road, especially over the the 4th. Overall a really great vacation house.

Wonderful Stay at Lake Tahoe with Family and Friends

  • 5 of 5

We had a great time staying at this cabin for a weekend trip to Lake Tahoe. We were a group of 7, with a baby and small dog. The number of beds worked out great for us; we appreciated that there was a crib available, and that our friend was allowed to bring her dog. The location was very convenient to the grocery store, the beach, and to the Northstar ski area, where we attended an event. We enjoyed cooking breakfast and dinners in the kitchen, and there was ample space for our large group to relax and play games in the evening in the living area. There were plenty of linens, towels, blankets, and anything else to make our stay comfortable. And the owner was only a phone call away, in case we had any questions. Overall we had an excellent time!
