Great Normandy house equipped with everything you might need, excellent location.

A wonderfully lovely and charming house. The amenities were complete; not everything was new, but it was there.The kitchen was well-equipped, with excellent cookware and utensils. In the surrounding area (less than 40 minutes by car), we discovered and visited different WWII monuments, museums and French castles each day for two weeks. The location is excellent, and there's even a small house/storage facility on the beach that you can use. All in all, we had a wonderful holiday.

The kitchen was very well equipped and toys were available for the kids to play with. The rooms were comfortable and the host was great. She provided many good suggestions for places to visit. The only negatives were the hot water would shut off from about 9pm till morning (rough estimate) but it happened every night. The host said it was a new boiler and had a technician scheduled to come look at it but I suspect it was a setting that had been overlooked. The house was a little cool at times but we just dressed a little warmer.

Cozy comfortable home

The house has everything we needed and I would stay here again when visiting Normandy. Due to the spring weather, we weren’t able to enjoy the lawn chairs or the nearby beach, but I can see that as being the high point of a summer stay.

Ideal house for visiting the Normandy coast

The traditional house is in a quiet area with a pretty walled garden. It is spacious, light and well equipped. The house was cool during hot weather.You can walk through the village to the unspoilt Bernières-sur-Mer beach. Courseulles-sur-Mer and Saint-Aubin-sur-Mer are busier with more restaurants and shops.The house is very well situated for visiting the Second World War memorials and D-Day museums.Caen and Bayeux are a short drive away on quiet roads. Caroline was a friendly, helpful and efficient host.
Attractive house in a pretty walled garden.
The house is on a quiet road overlooking fields to the front.
Bernières-sur-Met beach is quiet and unspoilt.

Beautiful Garden

A lovely cottage with a beautiful garden. We liked it here very much. The little beach house that you can use is great. Unfortunately, it was a bit too cool for us to swim.

Just what we wanted

Charming little house in a great location to visit the Canadian or British D-Day beaches and surroundings. Caroline was wonderful to deal with. Stairs are a little steep and water closet is on the main floor with bedrooms upstairs. Just FYI if you have any mobility issues.

It did what it said on the tin

The place was exactly as described, it was just what we needed. I could say the bed I had was too soft for my liking but it didn't detract from the good time we had.

Ideal and cute little house.

My family of 6 stayed at this beautiful little house for 3 nights in July. Caroline met us at the house to give us the key. She was very sweet and although language was a bit of a barrier we still managed to communicate. The house was perfect. It had 3 bedrooms and enough room for my family. The kitchen was very well equipped and the house was walking distance to Juno beach. Very quaint and charming.

Une semaine de détente joyeuse !

Ce fut un grand plaisir de retrouver la maison de Bernieres et son joli jardin . La proximité de la plage est idéale avec des enfants. Le site regorge de nombreuses activités . Séjour super agréable, Caroline nous accueille avec gentillesse et nous fait part des manifestations culturelles ou festives proposées.

Maison très agréable, fleurie bien adaptée pour notre famille de 5. Bien placée pour visiter les sites du débarquement mais pas que, les plages Normande sont nombreuses. Propriétaire très accueillante et tres avenante lors de notre séjour. WE prolongé parfait.

Wunderschönes Haus nahe am Meer

Die Umgebung bietet viele interessante Sehenswürdigkeiten. Besonders die Landungsstrände und die D-Day Besucherzentren Juno Beach, Omaha Beach, Gold Beach und Cean sollte man sich ansehen. Das Meer mit seinem feinen Sandstrand läd zum Baden ein.

Séjour dans la jolie maison

Nous avons passé un agréable séjour dans cette région. La maison est très bien et joliment décorée. Nous avons profité de la plage, sortie, jardin très beau. Location qui convient parfaitement aux familles avec enfant. La plage est à 10 minutes à pied : trajet est confortable et sécurisé. Nous recommandons aussi la plage de Courseulles sur mer qui est très grande, et aménagée avec jeux pou r les enfants. Nous avons apprécié la gentillesse de Caroline et ses conseils. Sylvie et Denis

Un séjour très plaisant !

La maison est idéalement située, à 10 min de la mer à pied . Le jardin joliment fleuri permet aux enfants de jouer en toute sécurité et aux adultes de profiter du calme . La proximité du camping n’est absolument pas gênante . Caroline nous a fort bien accueillis et conseillés pour nos découvertes de la région . Une cabine de plage est même à disposition ce qui est très pratique avec des enfants . Bernieres sur mer est une station balnéaire charmante .

Séjour familial réussi

cette station balnéaire est un peu à l'écart des mouvements de foule de touristes. Cette petite maison très coquette , très bien équipée , très calme, nous a permis de passer des moments familiaux très forts et de les partager en marchant sur les plages , en faisant du vélo ensemble et en visitant le musée de Juno Beach . Nous venons de passer une excellente semaine dans cette très jolie maison. Nous avons été accueilli par Caroline avec beaucoup de gentillesse. Elle nous a indiqué de très bonnes adresses :) pour visiter ou déguster. En ce qui concerne la maison, la cuisine est bien équipée. Le salon de jardin est un plus car le jardin est aussi très agréable, que ce soit devant ou derrière la maison. Nous avons très bien dormis grâce à la literie et au calme du lieu. En somme que du bonheur. Nous reviendrons avec plaisir. Cécile
