Quite simply the best place

People quite often refer to the Florida Keys as “Paradise”… well, if you’re thinking of visiting “Paradise”, there’s no point in looking anywhere else to stay, this place is where it’s at. The house is big and spacious and equipped with everything you can think of, you get the sun on the back yard all day, it’s nice and private, a safe friendly and quiet neighbourhood, and best of all, you get a host that will look after you, Bob surly must win the award for being the best vacation rental host out there!

The best stay ever

The home is exceptional. I would rate it out of a house on Architectural Digest. It comes with a 15K Dennon home sound system, a computer and printer, a fully stocked kitchen with every spice and cooking utensil you can imagine, and high-end appliances. But, the best part is your host. I wanted to watch FOX TV so he immediately provided the additional service at no cost. The dock and patio along with the outside porch are fabulous. If you want to have an exceptional experience use this host

Amazing

This hangar home has it all! We didn’t need to bring anything but our clothes, Bob has thought of everything. We were able to fly our Bonanza in and keep it right at the house. We rented a boat and kept it behind the house in the gorgeous canal. We were able to scuba dive and fish. Bob supplied snorkel gear, kayaks, paddle boards, and bicycles which kept us busy all the time. This home is beautifully decorated and centrally located between Key West and Marathon. Bob was a perfect host and a joy to talk with. Hoping to get back here next year!!

Overall all it was a 5 Star visit! The location was amazing ; and well situated on a beautiful deep water ; and constant water flowing through canal ! Very organized ; with appreciated guest options such as 6 bikes; 6 Kayaks and SUP’s ; snorkel gear ; outdoor barbecue; etc. The interior is well designed ; with an impressive array of entertainment options ; flat screen TV’s In all rooms ; and an full surround sound system as well. The screened in large porch has inspiring views of the sunsets and the ocean. Along with a large hot spring jacuzzi; makes for delectable evenings on the porch ! Really enjoyed all the ambience and well thought out custom design and interior !! An excellent host who attended to us graciously and promptly! It was like checking into a 5 star resort on the water !! We are looking forward to visiting again in the near future !

Perfect Christmas in the Florida Keys!

If there were 6-stars available, this rental would get it! Could not ask for anything more in this Rental! Coming from the cold/chaotic North we were greeted with a warm 82 degrees and an amazingly elegant home for our week. Everything you could possibly want or need is here. The owner (Bob) has thought of everything to accommodate his renters as the house is exquisite – trust that no detail has been spared! Whether you’re adventurous to take on kayaking, biking or scuba diving (yes, full kitted-out scuba gear/equipment) all are fully provided and available for use – or after a full day of fun/sun, just relaxing and chilling in the hot tub overlooking the canal, this rental will not disappoint. Almost every evening we found ourselves out on the screened porch taking in the beautiful sunsets overlooking the canal, often while sitting in the hot tub. After the sun went down it was great to unwind and relax in the spacious living room which has the most modern entertainment options available. There is unlimited movie, audio or gaming options available at the touch of a button with a state-of-the-art audio system. Excellent for watching tv but we would turn on our favorite music channel and listen to it throughout the house, on the porch sitting in the hot tub, the patio, bedroom – and yes, even in the bathroom! The house is equipped with Wi-Fi so we had no trouble sending out pictures to our family and friends of the beautiful sunsets we took during the week and on Christmas. We travel alot and cleanliness is very important to us and we were thrilled with the condition – no concerns here. The place was immaculate! Beds are comfy, clean towels & linens available and if you have an extended stay, washer and dryer are readily available for use. Outside you have lounge chairs, full-size grill and a large hammock out back on the patio. Great continual breeze while sitting beside the canal and two large lounging swings that we also spent quite a bit of time on – they are a nice addition to this amazing property. Excellent location…we found two restaurants we really enjoyed – Kiki’s Sand Bar – Bar and Grille in Little Torch Key and Chico’s Cantina in Stock Island on the way to Key West. Murray’s Market is a short drive from the house if you want to grab a great steak to throw on the grill. We cannot say enough great things about the house and the owner! We are already looking for the next available time to return back.

Great location and a beautiful place

My wife and I had a great stay. We were a little worried getting there a day after Ian but the place was perfect. Bob was a great host and got back to us quickly if we had questions. The location was great 25 minutes to key west and to marathon. Matt the local contact was helpful with a mechanical question and also offered to take us out on his boat. The entertainment system was great piping music to all the rooms. Beds were very comfortable. The kayaks were fun to explore the canals. We did see a manatee playing in the canal on our last day. I could go on and on but we had a great time and would stay here again.

Perfect!

This home and host Bob will make you think that you won the lottery. The home is absolutely beautiful, the only thing missing is an elevator! Being a "geezette" with two 22 yr. old artificial Knees and a new hip, the stairs were rough, but I had my stud muffin to do all the lugging. You can't help but love this home and it's host! Thanks Bob

Great Aviator Destination

Awesome rental house with a lot of great amenities! Enjoyed the canal for boating & kayaking. House was well furnished. Sunsets in the Hot Tub were very relaxing. Close to Key West and many other Keys made touring the area easy. For us, Pickleball every morning in Big Pine Key and/or Key West was a blast! Bob was a very good host and he had Matt nearby in case there was any issues. There were none. Would stay there again, easy decision. Minnesota Aviator

Amazing house!

Watching the planes take off from the runway was very cool. Loved all the lights on dimmers and the surround sound speakers through out the house. Screened porch was very relaxing . Watching the boats go by on the canal and on the chillier nights the hot tub was great! Every thing was exactly as pictured and Bob was always available to answer questions. Would love to stay again!

Beautiful home in a great location. The place was spotless. Everything worked as it should, and the entire place had a feeling of quality. Bob was terrific. He was very quick to respond to any question we had, very helpful, and a nice person. We hope to stay there again.

Jan 2017 Vacay - AMAZING!

My family and I were so impressed with this beautiful home! We were looking for something spacious and updated for a winter vacation and this property certainly delivered! Everything that we could have needed was at our fingertips. Kayaks, bikes and underwater gear for outdoor play...fantastic electronics and hot tub for when we wanted to relax. We never wanted for anything as everything was so thoughtfully provided and so accessible. The bedrooms are very spacious and the beds were very comfy! The showers were awesome and the home is BEAUTIFULLY decorated! We have two little boys, so we did put some sculptures "up" on the (expansive) kitchen countertop just to make sure nothing was damaged. ;) I truly could go on and on. This MADE OUR TRIP! We did activities around Summerland Key and many activities on Key West. We had an amazing time but truly - the house really added to our overall vacation! I would highly recommend this property to anyone and plan on visiting again myself!! It was amazing!! Thank you!!

Perfect Family Getaway!

This villa was just perfect for our family of 4 to get away for 2 weeks! Our teenage boys were never bored, we used the bicycles, the paddle boards, the kayaks, and the dock out front to park our rented fishing boat. Bob though of everything, the villa has everything you need, is clean, comfortable, has plenty of televisions and places to lounge for reading. The kitchen is great and we enjoyed cooking the fish we caught on our fishing trips. I give this an all around A+ and absolutely recommend it for families! We hope to go back in the future and also, Bob was a great business person who communicated well and there was a never a worry about the business end of things. Enjoy!

We wish all our rentals were this great !

We have rented this terrific 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom wonderful place for two years in a row. Unfortunately for us, it is already booked for future winter months, so we are now looking again and just can't find anything available as good as this place for the price. The owner has fully furnished this place from comfortable furniture and beds, to everything you need in the kitchen and modern equipment including tv's, stereo, wine bar, computer, hot tub and all appliances. He is also meticulous about maintaining everything. We are very active seniors, so we are out jogging, kayaking, biking and playing tennis each day. We do have our own kayaks and bikes, but for those of you who don't there are bikes, kayaks and paddleboards for you to enjoy. We love this area and found some of the best food was take out from Low Key Fisheries at mile marker 22.5, where you can buy wonderful fresh conch salad, calamari, coleslaw, smoked fish (my favourite is their smoked fish dip, Scottish salmon and hog fish) and fresh local shrimp (including the Key West Pink Shrimp), crab claws to die for, or cook your own hog fish or grouper (Bob has supplied an excellent barbeque at the house). The other wonderful take out (they also have two little tables if you are biking through and would like to eat there) is Keys Cuisine. They cook wonderful local fresh fish (ask for the basket, skip the bread and go for double home made pineapple slaw). The only two restaurants we really enjoy and frequent in the area are Square Grouper, for finer dining, excellent food and The Wharf, which is very casual, very friendly staff, not exceptional food, but just fine. We are sorry we aren't able to return, but hope you will be able to and we know Bob will take great care of you. The only thing we would caution people about is that it is not good for people with physical disabilities as it is one high flight of stairs and no elevator.

We can't wait to return

I never give out a 5 star rating, but not to do so for this place, would be unfair. This a unique place in that instead of a regular garage, it is a hangar garage, as there is a private airstrip for the small plane enthusiasts, right outside the drive. Our first impression of the place was how immaculate even the garage was and this carries through to the upstairs living area. The beautifully finished interior is totally updated with top, quality beds, couches, televisions, washer and dryer. We are seniors and frankly didn't want to touch some of the electronics as he has the latest of everything and we didn't want to break anything. There is a relaxing hot tub in the screened in porch that is perfect to enjoy the sunset or beautiful stars at night. There are four double kayaks, two paddle boards (a lot of fun and better to see the fish and manatee from), several bikes. The owner keeps everything in top shape. This home is on a very clean canal and even kayaking it only took us 10 mins to get to the open water. There isn't an elevator up to the living quarters, so this place would not be good for a person in a wheelchair or severe joint problems, but we highly recommend for everyone else. The location is terrific to get to Key West (35 min drive), to get in your boat and get out into great waters to snorkel,scuba or fish and there are some wonderful little restaurants and fresh fish stores within 5 mins. This is a place that we look after like our own and we have already booked to return.

Girl Time In The Florida Keys!

Many say that diamonds are a girl's best friend, during the month of October, 2013 we found one on Summerland Key! Upon arriving to our destination, my three friends and I were completely blown away by the classiness , cleanliness and thoughtful touches provided by the owner. Not to mention the plethora of amenities available to us such as; Kayaks, Paddle boards, Snorkeling gear, Mountain bikes, Fishing equipment, a Fish Cleaning station and even a Deep Freezer for the days catch! The plush towels, robes, porch Jacuzzi and exquisite multi-head showers made our experience feel even more luxurious. In addition to the relaxing ambiance created by the king sized hammock, there were four flat screen televisions for our individual enjoyment. The owner has thought of everything! The place is immaculate, well organized and convenient to just about everything the Keys has to offer. We hated to leave this Key paradise! It's not a diamond-in-the-rough, it's a polished stone! We intend to book early for our next year retreat!

An Amazing Tropical Paradise on the Water!!!

My Fiance and I stayed at this wonderful villa during the month of July and had the most amazing time ever!!! From the initial reservation to checking in we experienced 5 star treatment from the owner. This place is custom designed inside and out with many wonderful amenities and very custom designed interior. The sound and entertainment system was first class as well as the awesome Jacuzzi on the Porch overlooking the canal and Ocean. We had so much fun with the Bikes, Kayaks, and Snorkel equipment which was unbelievably all included with the reservation. The location is perfect with great access to Looe Key for diving, snorkeling, and fishing galore. Beautiful Bahia Honda State Park is nearby as well as the culture and fun to be had in Key West. We are planning on many more visits to this first class guest house!!!! Bravo to the owner for his superb hosting during our stay!!

Absolutely can not say enough about the house. It exceeded our expectations.The house was not only very clean, but more than stocked with every need you could think of. Both the owner and property management were very accessible and helpful. We had another couple join us and the house had all the comforts of home along with the little extras to treat.The layout is very comfortable and functional for couples or families. We have been traveling to the Keys for the past 10+ years and absolutely love the area of the Lower Keys. We have stayed on many of the islands. This is by far the cleanest flowing canals. Great boating with easy access. Nice local places to eat and Murrays Market was great for any last minute item we may decided we needed.The only downside was we could only stay for 2 weeks. Would definitely return and extend our time. Thanks for everything Bob!!! You were great and made everything from booking, to staying to leaving easy. Hoping to do it again in the future. Beautiful sunsets and great times

House is a wonderful place to just relax and wind down in the keys. Close to Key West if you want the party but far enouhg away to just be able to sit back relax in the hot tub and enjoy the sunset. House has some great amenities including bikes to cruise around the island. REnted a bout while I was there and went out into the ocean and snorkeled. Already looking forward to the next time I can stay there.

Amazing Luxury Visit to Fly-in Key: Can't Rave Enough! Paradise!

This fully equipped luxury Villa exceeded our expectations with amenities we didn't think to ask for including the state of the art entertainment system, world class decor and hedonistic shower. If we had a plane, we could park it right in the house. Our boat was docked directly on the canal outside our door, top floor living quarters awards views of sunset while relaxing in hot tub. Master suite was a honeymoon getaway with an indescribable shower experience. We stayed most of October but wish we could live there. Second bedroom for guests and pull out for more visitors but we didn't invite any! Kitchen was gourmet equipped to cook our catch of the day. Nothing was overlooked. Below in the double ended garage (with floors you can eat off, they are so clean) for the airstrip / runway or out back, dock access, we used kayaks, scuba gear, bikes, tables, chairs, lounges, umbrella unbreakable dishes and serve ware. Our drive to everything was convenient both directions. Key West was close, and there were restaurants even closer. Dolphin park, snorkeling, diving, deep sea fishing, etc. etc. Owner was helpful from afar while Paul was there locally and very accommodating. Had stormy weather but felt so safe in this fortress! All I want for Christmas is this unbelievable house! Pictures can't show how great it is.

Great place and a great time.

Beautiful place with great amenities. Had a wonderful time in this beautiful home, busy mornings catching bugs and relaxing afternoons in the jacuzzi. It's a true Keys paradise.
