Very clean and had everything we needed. The screened in deck was so serene with deer and turkey visiting throughout the day!

We really enjoyed our stay. We didn't spend a whole lot of time there, but it was beautiful. Very clean, and we absolutely enjoyed the back screened in porch. The perfect place to watch the sun rise. You could even watch it from the master bedroom, if you wanted. The ONLY thing that could have made it any better is if there was a hot tub. If I could rate more than a 5 star, I definitely would.

The house was very nice. We really enjoyed our stay. It was close to alot of nice places to visit. Boone, Blowing Rock, Grandfathers Mtn, Mystery Hill and Linville Falls. Everyday we saw beautiful deer right outside our door. Very windy steep climb to the house but other than that it was perfect.

Susan was very pleasant to work with. We had a last minute change and ended up having to bring our Golden with us, along with extending our stay. Susan was very prompt with replying and helpful in coordinating everything. The property was very clean and well equipped. Hurricane Isaias came through while we were there, and Susan again was very prompt with providing updates and even gave some suggestions to ensure we were equipped in the event of a power outage. We thoroughly enjoyed the stay and will miss the sunrises in the morning from the back porch as well as all the deer and wildlife we encountered on our walks.

This home was beautiful, well stocked, and the host was a great communicator. Easy check in and lovely views from the screened back deck. The drive up was a little steep but that's to be expected in the mountains. Otherwise it was a great trip and the kids had a wonderful time.

This was perfect for my family of 4 (5yo and 1.5yo) and 2 dogs. We loved the views and seeing the deer outside of the house daily. Everything was clean and the kids loved the pool! We tried the hiking trail on site and that was fun. Definitely check out the campground area, we loved the little creek! Hoping to come back with more family for another trip!

This house was perfect for our anniversary get away. The front porch was perfect to sit on cool mornings. The host had great communication. The house was equipped with all the necessities, laundry pods, dish soap, sponge, trash bags, towels, etc. The only complaints I have is the bath towels were wet hanging by the master bath so I had to rewash them. There was dog hair all over the master quilt/bedspread. I understand it is pet friendly so we switched the quilt with another one available in the closet. Overall we enjoyed our stay and will stay here again. Our favorite thing was all the wildlife close to the home. We were able to see turkeys and deer very close to the house.

Cozy cabin, perfect for two or small family. Screen porch was our favorite part - large with comfortable chairs and a nice view. Perfect for unwinding after trekking all day and morning coffee. Rest of property was really clean with comfortable setup! Hosts sent many emails and follow ups with instructions - we've been to Powderhorn/Elk Creek rentals many times so please screenshot your instructions. There really is no service on the way in BUT WiFi at the cabin was phenomenal!!! Best connection we've had in this general area Kitchen had enough of what you need for cooking and serving and living room had a nice set up. Laundry is in the main area, but we didn't find the noise bothersome at all! Thanks for letting us stay!

Couples Mountain Getaway

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was more than happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The cabin was very clean. The furniture was all in good condition. The kitchen was very well equipped. All linens were nice, beach towels were also provided for enjoying the pool. All descriptions and instructions were accurate. It is definitely somewhat isolated as the nearest grocery store is a half hour away. This was also clearly communicated in the details. It was very quiet and we enjoyed the wildlife we saw on a daily basis. We would definitely stay here again.

Quaint little mountain gettaway

Had a great stay. Especially loved the screened in deck. It was a bit of a hike to our festival in Wilkesboro - but that isn't the fault of the house - the house was great.

When the sun came up we could not believe the view we had. This place is simply gorgeous and Susan is an amazing host. Get ready to have some peace and quiet and don't forget your meat and veggies for grilling. The gas grill works great.
