Our plans changed a lot as we were trying to get a flight in around Denali but the weather wouldnât cooperate, thankfully we were able to enjoy the cabin as a base for an evening while making new plans and enjoying the town. Fantastic host, and appreciate the flexibility.
Check-in was a breeze and Sheila greeted us and told us about nice places to dine and areas to see around town. The cabin was clean and well stocked and having a Keurig with K-Cups was a nice bonus! I would definitely stay here again!
Spot worked well for our one overnight. No blackout curtains in the main floor so that made it pretty bright. The host was working on the toilet when we arrived so delayed our check-in a bit (but we wanted a working toilet). Lots of bugs - not the host fault, just the area/time of year. Hosts were communicative.
We stayed one night, in transit from Seward to Denali. The property would also have worked very well for several days for us if our itinerary had been different. It is clean, well appointed and in a great location. Our family (mom, dad, 2 teen boys) had a comfortable stay and would definitely recommend to others.
A gem of cute property. It has everything and well thought out amenities - washer/dryer, ziplock bags to pack sandwiches among everything else that is provides.
Drew was very helpful and prompt in communication as and when we needed it.
Clean, comfortable, well stocked cabin close to town
The was a great find walking distance to town. The hosts and property manager were awesome! The hot tub, bar b que area and fire pit were all great to have! Would highly recommend this cabin!!
We had 5 of the cabins rented for a family wedding. It was absolutely perfect. The cabins had everything we needed and were so cute. Beds were comfortable, kitchen had supplies, it was a short walk to downtown and convenient to everything. Jaylene was very helpful and present if anything was needed. We would absolutely recommend these places, and hope to return someday!
This group of cabins are more than a short walk into town. We didn't mind because the town was busy and these cabins are in a quiet area.
The place comfortably accommodated two couples.
My kids and I loved this little cabin. We enjoyed our stay. It was cozy and quiet. A very short drive to downtown Talkeetna. Only thing missing was blackout curtains since it didnt get dark until nearly midnight. Other than that, everything worked. Extra blankets for the kids, roku tv, and a hand held gaming system my son played during downtime. Overall, it was a very enjoyable stay.
It was a great place to unwind and relax on a staycation. We loved getting out of town to enjoy some silence. There are other units next to this one and luckily for us they were all empty . The hot tub was great at the end of a cold day as well. The cabin was clean and well stocked. The only thing that would have made it perfect would have been a small space heater. The main heating unit was great for the living room but the upper floor was freezing . However it was very cold that particular weekend so that might have been mostly why. Overall I would definitely come back and it was an enjoyable experience .
I've lived in Talkeetna since 1998. I love our little town and all it has to offer. I couldn't imagine living anywhere else. I am a pilot and aircraft mechanic and own an aircraft maintenance company here. I love the outdoors and spending time with my daughter and friends. I also enjoy spending time with my other family, our local fire department.
