Amazing stay. A very clean and beautiful house with sweeping views and all the amenities a family could need. The hostess was exceptional helpful and gracious, and we were sad to leave. Super close to Talkeetna without being in the fray of the downtown area. Just book this place - you will not be disappointed.

Moose morning

We had a great stay! Cabin was very clean and cute. Great view of Denali when the weather cooperates! Short drive to get to everything in Talkeetna. We had a mother moose and her 2 babies hang out outside the cabin for several hours, it was amazing!

Lovely cabin with a great view of Denali. Very clean and cozy. Easy trip to downtown Talkeetna, hiking around lake and then on to Anchorage.

Just the perfect size for my family of 4 - beautiful views of Denali - close to Talkeetna - 2 other cabins were filled with love new neighbors. Very enjoyable!

The most relaxing getaway

We so enjoyed our time at the mountaintop and would recommend a stay for anyone. The space is beautiful, beautifully built, beautifully decorated with a breathtaking view. We all enjoyed some much needed downtime and immediately felt at home. I am so glad we found this place.

Wow!!!

What a place to stay! The cabin is beautiful!! We would come back to this spot in the woods! The drive to town is just a couple of minutes and the people are so polite.

Wonderful location and charming cabin in great shape. Enjoyed meeting Whitney. Only drawback is both bedrooms upstairs and bathroom downstairs.

Cute Cabin

We enjoyed our stay. Cabin was quiet and cozy. Our only issues were that the listing shows one bedroom has a queen bed, the other bedroom has two twins and a queen. There is no second queen bed. In addition, we would of liked to know about the 5 minute shower limit.

Amazing views

The location is perfect, the view is amazing. Denali was out pretty much the whole time we were there. However this cabin needs some upgraded amenities starting with the beds. The queen bed was so bad we had to sleep in to small queen beds or a heavily used futon. Beds are the most important thing to guests, we know we also rent cabins also. We loved our stay in Talkeetna.

Needs mirrors & extension cords in bedrooms

When traveling with friends, we always look for more than one bathroom. If a rental has only one bathroom, then the bedroom is one place where one may get ready for the day without having to hog the bathroom. Adequate outlets, extension cords and a shelf below a mirror can help people to get ready without using the bathroom mirror. I basically had to do gymnastics to use a blow dryer and curling iron in the bedroom. I don't always travel with these items (curling iron & blow dryer) but we came to Alaska for a wedding and festivities for a few days, this meant we had to dress appropriately. So I would highly suggest doing some improvements in this area, thanks!

No water sometimes

Rule book said only 2 can take showers at night, and only 2 in morning. It stated that the well does not pump enough water for more showers, and not over 5 min long for showers.What if there was 5 people in the group. We went by the rules that 1st night. But, about 3am, I heard water running and checked the toilet. The chain for the flapper came loose and stuck under the flapper causing it to keep running. I fixed it.The next day, the shower did not work for the boys, even though it was many hours later. It only dribbled out. As we left for the day, my wife called the host and left a message of the situation. There are 2 other cabins nearby that are also hooked to the same water well, and the host said now I know why the others had no water in the morning.They did check the toilet to make sure it was repaired properly, and hoping it doesn't happen again.My wife also informed her that there was only 3 bath towels. We had registered with the 2 of us, plus 17 and 20 yr old Grandsons.The host said that she thought the young child did not need a bath towel. Really? A very young child would need a bath towel. The next night there was 4 bath towels. Bedrms were upstairs and bathroom downstairs Some windows have no curtains and sun shined in all night.

Beautiful view

The view could not get any better. Very remote up in the mountains. We had poor water pressure when we got there. The owner was very responsive and was there within 5 minutes to fix it. A filter needed to be replaced.
