A spiral staircase leads you to the large terrace where you can sway in hammocks under ceiling fans while enjoying views of Panama City, ships transiting the Panama Canal, and the surrounding islands. There are also views of colorful roof-tops, cupolas, and the downtown church steeple. A large, fully equipped kitchen and plenty of light make cooking a pleasure. You can relax at your terrace dining table while listening to the splashing of the fountain as you linger over a late breakfast or barbeque your fresh fish. It is a short two minute walk to the waters edge and nearby restaurants. From your terrace you might catch a glimpse of migrating whales as well as dolphins who frequent the waters.
Isla Taboga is a small island of about 900 friendly people in the Pacific just 10 miles from Panama City. This lush island boasts nice beaches, hiking trails, assorted wildlife and gorgeous flowers. Thus, the name, the 'Island of Flowers'. It is always warm in Isla Taboga with an average daily temperature of 88F. The water temperature averages 82F making it ideal for swimming, snorkeling and fishing. There are numerous fiestas throughout the year with music and fireworks.
Taboga Island is a preserve for thousands of pelicans who come to nest every year. You will also find ospreys, comorants, anteaters, cranes, iguanas, turtles and boobys. It is a great bird watching area! The following list is but a few you can find here: Blue-black grassquit, Blue-gray tanager, Great black hawk, Great kiskadee, Orange-chinned parakeet, Red-legged honeycreeper, Royal tern, Spotted sandpiper, Tropical kingbird, Yellow-bellied Elaenia, and the Yellow-crowned night heron.

From Taboga Island you are only a short 30 minute ferry ride from Panama City with much shopping, historic sites and many great restaurants. We have a wonderful new ferry, Taboga Express, located on Amador Causeway by Restaurant TGI Fridays and Balboa Yacht Club which departs Panama at 3pm. The Ferry Schedules are located on our Tres Terrazas website for your convenience. There are daily flights into Tocumen International Airport with Continental, United and American Airlines, among others. From the airport you are a twenty five minute taxi ride to the heart of Panama City.
