Find yourself in paradise at this two-story, open-air beach house. Enjoy ocean views in one direction and tropical rain forests in the other, all viewable from inside and outside this cozy getaway. This elevated, contemporary wood home features a wraparound, furnished lanai, a private, spring-fed pool, landscaped grounds, and easy beach access just steps away.

A 4x4 vehicle is necessary all year round.
Make sure to bring your food and groceries, the nearest town or supermarket is an hour away.
This home produces its own electricity from solar-powered panels. Therefore, a few cloudy, rainy days can have a noticeable effect on the energy system.

What's nearby:
This region offers fishing, hiking, cycling, jungle zip-lining, and white water rafting. Walk out to the King Louis Waterfall just steps from this resort or head out on a guided jungle expedition to get up close to native wildlife including monkeys, anteaters, and macaws. Everyone can soak up the sun on some of the local beaches while the experienced surfers in your party can challenge the turbulent waters along the toe of the Osa Peninsula's boot. And for delicious meals, be sure to visit Buena Esperanza, located just a little over two miles up the coast.

We had a great stay at Cabo Matapalo. The house is great and right on the water. The staff were very helpful with everything we needed. Definitely recommend.

The end of the road seaside location is divine. The large open air design gave everyone room to spread out. Kitchen well equipped and want we needed the caretaker, Joella, provided quickly. He was so polite, helpful and caring. We really appreciated him. A good place for birdwatching, finding waterfalls and watching monstrous waves crash on the beach endlessly

Wonderful tropical treehouse

Great peaceful place to be. Right on the beach, with wildlife all around. Rocky beach so no swimming but a small refreshing pool. Open house, no AC but fans available, can get warm at night with no breeze. Road in was rustic and bumpy, bring in food and ice. The house lights are weak so bring flashlights or a lantern. Carlos is very helpful and available. Nice experience!
