Κομψό διαμέρισμα με επιπλωμένη επιπλωμένη βεράντα με θέα στη θάλασσα και το ιστορικό κέντρο του Παλέρμο, που έχει ενταχθεί στο μνημειώδες πλαίσιο των αρχαίων τειχών του 15ου αιώνα της πόλης, στην αρχαία αραβική συνοικία της Kalsa, στον αρχαίο δρόμο περιπάτου. Το διαμέρισμα διαθέτει εξαιρετική θέα στη θάλασσα, διαθέτει υπνοδωμάτιο με διπλό κρεβάτι, μπάνιο με παράθυρο και μπανιέρα υδρομασάζ, σαλόνι με εξοπλισμένη κουζίνα και άνετο καναπέ-κρεβάτι, όπου μπορείτε να μείνετε και να φάτε γεύματα, ένα δωμάτιο με μόνο κρεβάτι και μικρό w. γ., και πάνω από μια υπέροχη βεράντα. Στο διαμέρισμα υπάρχει ένα μικρό παράρτημα με ένα υπνοδωμάτιο με διπλό κρεβάτι και w. γ. ντους, ανεξάρτητα από το διαμέρισμα (για συνολικά 7 κρεβάτια). Μέσα στους τοίχους, το διαμέρισμα απολαμβάνει μεγάλη ηρεμία και βρίσκεται σε ένα κομψό και καλά διατηρημένο περιβάλλον. Το διαμέρισμα είναι εξοπλισμένο με όλες τις ανέσεις: wifi σύστημα, τηλεόραση, πλυντήριο ρούχων, πλυντήριο πιάτων, φούρνο, στεγνωτήρα μαλλιών, πιάτα και σεντόνια και είναι επιπλωμένο με προσοχή και κομψότητα και έχει πρόσφατα αποκατασταθεί. Η περιοχή έχει μεγάλο ιστορικό και μνημειακό ενδιαφέρον, που περιβάλλεται από όμορφες βίλες (βίλα δίπλα στη θάλασσα, Villa Giulia, Βοτανικό Κήπο, Villa Garibaldi), από μουσεία (Palazzo Abatellis), από πολύ σημαντικές εκκλησίες (Chiesa della Maggione, Chiesa della Gancia, Chiesa della Catena) ...), από κτίρια ιστορικού ενδιαφέροντος όπως τα Crociferi, Lo Spasimo, Lo Steri (έδρα του Rectorate), οι αρχαίες αγορές Vucciria και Ballarò και επιπλέον είναι πολύ εύκολο να περπατήσετε στην Piazza Pretoria, το Quattro Canti di Città και όλα τα σημαντικά αξιοθέατα του ιστορικού κέντρου, όπως το Teatro Massimo. Walking distance to most historical sites.Great views from the property. All food, especially street food, best so far in our EU stays over the last 3 years of travel. Buses/Trams very good for getting around in Palermo.

Perfect location and fabulous apartment and owners

Everything is perfect about the stay. Highly recommended, not in the middle of the tourist area but quite close if you want to get there. Sea, a lot of attractions, quiet, and beautiful. The owners are terrific.

Our apt was ideally located and Fazio was the perfect host. He helped us track down my husbands missing iPhone. That was amazing. Property was roomy and clean, walking distance to everything.

Nice stop but bring earplugs!

It's a quirky place. Clearly very very old, so the layout is compact, particularly the kitchen, which is difficult to navigate. There's a rooftop terrace with a sea view which is absolutely tremendous. Got to watch the ferry's coming and going.It's very noisy, sadly. The sound of the main road and the restaurant below kept us awake till late. So strong earplugs recommended!Our host Flavio was great. Made sure we were ok and was quick to respond to my questions. Really nice guy. It's well situated for the sights of Palermo, so would be great for the sightseers. Palermo is very busy in general, so I suggest an early start if you want to get ahead of the crowds.Overall, a good stay. Thank you Flavio for looking after us!

Comfortable flat with stunning rooftop terrace.

This place has it all—very comfortable with all amenities, a great roof garden where you can eat or just relax while gazing out at the harbor, a responsive and energetic host, and a superb location in the arty Khalsa district. We hope to stay there again.

Great place to stay

We really enjoyed staying at this location. We especially enjoyed our morning coffee on the rooftop terrace. It was in a good location so they we were close enough to walk to everything we wanted to see in Palermo, but on the outskirts of the city to get away from everything. Igea was great at showing us around the apartment as well as telling us suggestions of what to see while there. Overall great stay, thanks!

Sister holiday

Very nice apartment in an old building located in the historic center. Within walking distance to restaurants and transportation to tourist attractions. Enjoyed the rooftop patio overlooking the park and waterfront especially at the beginning and ending of the day.

Perfect place to stay in Palermo

The apartment in Palermo was great. It had a great kitchen and living room with a view of the water. The deck was perfect with lots of plants and a great view. The location was perfect for walking around Palermo. The apartment was also very quiet due to the thick walls.

Everything was great. Our flight was delayed and we came very late, Igea waited for us and gave a very detailed explanations on the property. The terrace is so beautiful, I did not want to leave. Very close walk to the main street in the old city. Highly recommend!

Wonderful host, convenient location, breathtaking terrace

Igea is a wonderful host. She welcomed us in person to her historic property, clearly explained the sensible house rules, gave us a tour of each room in the spacious apartment including the spectacular rooftop terrace, inquired about our cultural interests, suggested various sites to visit in Palermo, and even provided us with a big bottle of drinking water. I had messed up my reservation schedule, but Igea very kindly accommodated us despite my scheduling error. During our stay, she texted us several recommendations for visits to events and sites of cultural interest in Palermo. Though the 17th-c. stone wall in which the property is located may seem a bit intimidating at first, we grew to love its quaint appearance. The front wall is so thick that it blocks out all traffic noise from the nearby boulevard. Within walking distance are amazing art galleries (like the Palazzo Abatellis); excellent seafood restaurants (our favourite was in Piazza Marina); impressive Arab-Norman churches (e.g. La Martorana and San Cataldo); a Sicilian rod-puppet theatre (housed in an international museum of marionettes); and a multitude of interesting shops along Via Vittorio Emanuele and Via Roma (we loved "Il Cappellaio Matto"--The Mad Hatter). In the evening, we enjoyed sipping a glass of Nero d'Avola on the terrace and watching the Grimaldi ferry boats and huge cruise ships floating by our unobstructed view of the Tyrrhenian Sea. We would certainly stay here again on future visits to Palermo.

This is place to stay in Palermo!!!

Loved everything about staying here! From first contact with Igea to the minute we left, we enjoyed this property. Everything is well described in listing. Igea met us at apartment when we arrived to show us everything and had map to show us the city. She was happy to answer our questions and assist us during our stay. The apartment was very clean. Kitchen was fully equipped. We loved the rooftop terrace! Enjoyed sitting up there with glass of wine after a long day of touring.

Great location, quiet but close to everything.

Igea was a wonderful host. She was there when we checked in and showed us all the workings of the house. She also kept us informed of all the happenings around the town. The apartment was nicely decorated in a beautiful district of Kalsa. It was comfortable in general with a minor exception of the shower. It was difficult to take shower without flooding of the bathroom. Eventually we found the way to do it by lowering shower head and almost crouching underneath. Small price to pay for the superb location.

Great Place/Great Host

We had a wonderful stay at Igea's place. Igea and her son were very responsive and helpful. Igea provided suggestions for entertainment, transportation, and of course the ins and outs of staying at her place such as operation of air conditioner, washer, locks, etc. Communication was excellent and we were easily able to communicate in English. The apartment was wonderful and well suited for us. The roof top patio is amazing and spacious. It provided a wonderful view of the port which enabled us to watch large cruise ships enter and exit the harbor. Across the street was a large park with walking trail. Downstairs was a convenient cafe that has really good appetizers, dinners and of course gelato. The kitchen was well equipped and stocked with necessities such as soap, coffee, etc. The apartment complex was quite and entrance from the street was at ground level. Once inside there is only a few stairs to reach the apartment door. Street parking was fine. We never had a problem finding a parking spot. I will likely be back!!

Amazing location

My partner and I work from home and booked Igea's flat for a month. The location was ideal, very central and well located to get to the main streets in the city centre, the train station and all the sights Palermo has to offer. We loved Igea's style and how the apartment is decorated. The view of the ocean from the apartment is very cool to be able to see all the gigantic ships sail by. Igea was a great host whenever we had a problem she was very reactive. We unfortunately had a gas leak happen when we were there and Igea came very quickly with repair men and she also swiftly changed the gas cooker for us. When the electricity went out due the air con being on as well as doing the washing, Igea was immediate in her support for me to figure out how to get the electricity back on! It was a great experience living in such an old city and these issues are common. The most important was that whatever happened, we felt safe that the issue would be dealt with quickly. The apartment is great for people staying for a week to 2 weeks on vacation, the kitchen is not the most equipped if you plan to eat at home most of the time like we did since we were working and not vacationing. But otherwise we would highly recommend this property for an amazing holiday! Thank you Igea!

Great place to stay for 3 people

unfortunately, we were 2 couples so the 2nd couple had to stay in the "annex". contrary to the listing, the annex is not attached to the apartment. it is in the same building but on a different level, and is much like a hostel room with a private bathroom and a window...thats it. the street noise with cars and sirens are heard til 2am. and no wifi.the extra charge for the annex is much too much $$$. the main apartment has 1 bedroom and a 2nd single bed in a private area on the way up to the terrace. the terrace does not have an umbrella so at times it is hard to find shade but regardless it is very private and gorgeous. so if you are just 3 people this is a fantastic find. great location and the price cant be beat. the host, igea is 6 on 5. could not ask for anyone more caring and responsive. ps. put in "la mura" for exact location of apartment as it is right above, foro italico umberto 1 was too vague for our airport shuttle. also, an extra set of keys would be nice. 1 set for the main apartment is not enough. also, to turn on the hot water for the shower you had to turn on the hot water valve on the bidet to activate the hot water tank. peculiar but fine once you know.

Lovely apartment with panoramic terrace

This is a very nice place to stay in an excellent part of Palermo, close to town looking over a park and out to sea. The large roof terrace is a particular feature, with panoramic views. It is a spacious property with generally good facilities, and the owners are easy to communicate with, gave good restaurant recommendations and were helpful when a previous guest had turned off the boiler so we did not have hot water - easily rectified! A couple of points - the kitchen is a little dated, but has most things you need, the other thing to bear in mind is that the apartment is next door to a restaurant which can be quite noisy - but fine if you do not go to bed before 12 or 1am on holiday.

Perfect location

We stayed in Igea's flat for a week, and enjoyed the whole experience. The flat is lovely. It's in an historical building, right across from the waterfront. Igea and her son, Flavio, have done a very sympathetic renovation to the rooms, adding modern comforts while keeping the ancient charm. It all comes together in a very appealing manner.And the best thing about it all, is the beautiful terrace atop the building, with its sea view. We were up there several times a day, watching people at play, and boats big and small coming into the harbour. The location can't be beat. It is walking distance to almost everything, including the Norman Palace and the Ballaro Market. (Don't miss that!) There are many nearby restaurants and coffee bars. Oh, and a great botanical garden is barely a block away, a great place to go for a bit of nature's peace.Igea and Flavio rate top marks for communication, and for seeing to their guests' needs and comforts. We loved our experiences in Palermo.

Wohnung am Rand der Altstadt mit Hafen/Meerblick

Die Wohnung war etwas kühl und hellhörig. Waren Anfang Januar da. Die richtige Wohnung für die Altstadt wenn man mit dem Auto unterwegs ist.

Emplacement de 1er plan pour un appartement atypique. equipement complet. la literie est un peu usagée gerante tres à l'ecoute , serviable et qui met tout en ouvre pour rendre le séjour agréable ( reservation du parking ...etc)

The house is in the historic downtown area oldest folk and charming city . And ' restored with care, taste and elegance and has every convenience and requires constant maintenance and accurate because very old and the sea . The terrace is wonderful is often I host my friends !

The house is a historic, inside the walls and therefore can not have the characteristics of a modern apartment, but the charm of the old houses:. High ceilings with vaulted ceilings, thick stone walls 1 mt, with large windows, shutters, overlooking the sea, the historic center and a beautiful indoor atrium tranquil and lush. It 'was recently renovated with quality materials, from glass mosaic in bathrooms, floors, kitchen handmade wooden furniture, air conditioners, and has all modern amenities (hot tub, wi-fi system ....). Precisely for this reason it is not accessible to people with mobility problems or small children. It is in addition very close to the marina of Cala where you can moor, train station and bus station, the major historical sites, the most beautiful villas and churches and sea not suitable for bathing. Usually at the request and accompanied me in my car and no extra guests from the main station (easily accessible from the airport) to the house.
