Great location for the price and right near everything in the area. Some areas on the deck need to be replaced but as long as you watch where you’re going it’s no problem and sitting on the deck was a highlight of the stay. Back yard could use a trim as it’s not the best for walking your pets back there when grass etc is high.

This house is in a great location other than being next to John’s drive in that created quite a bit of traffic the driveway. The host was great but the house could definitely use some upgrades and repairs. I love the fact that it was pet friendly and overall we enjoyed our stay

Great location! The Salty Dog was very clean and everything that we expected. We loved how close we were to the beach and enjoyed reading on the front porch. We would definitely stay there again. Thanks for hosting us!

Pictures don’t do the view justice. It’s so convenient to set up everyday and close to everything you could need. Will stay again.

Great stay. Average family beach house without any pretentiousness. We had 4 adults w 2 babies. Front deck has gate to stairs. Great for enjoying with a small pool for baby. Host responded same day for a couple of minor issues. Hallway bath/shower does need to be updated. It’s usable but had to get creative for kids tub use. House is directly across the street from access, and that access was very steep. Discovered walking on that shifting sand with baby felt unsafe so walked 50 yards down the road to another access with stairs. The road in front can be busy at times. Just need to be watchful when crossing road, House is well stocked. Discovered pack and play and extra gate in a closet. Any beach item/toy you can imagine was in downstairs laundry room.

Jana, finding the pack-and-play, the extra gate, and a full stash of beach gear already waiting is exactly the kind of thing that makes a family trip run smoothly. The front deck setup with the gated stairs and small pool is a genuine win for little ones. Families traveling with babies will feel right at home here.

Great location! Cozy cottage that fit 6 of us for a long weekend. Place was clean. Each person was given 1 towel, 1 hand towel and 1 washcloth which worked for a long weekend, would suggest bringing your own if staying longer. No hair dryer or paper products are included in amenities, which fine for longer stays as you most likely would bring your own. Overall, it was a great place and right next door to John’s which had really good ice cream!

We made the most of our trip. The property next to the drive in wasn’t ideal- constant people. For 4000 for the week I would have expected the property to be in better condition. The deck is falling apart and definitely a safety concern. The somewhat of a yard was not maintained and glass everywhere. Was not safe to have our dog out there. Not sure what cleaning was done but floors were filthy. The beach was very nice and not crowded. Would have been nice to have more towels provided. The hot tub was a nice feature- but a heads up someone would be coming to check the chemicals would have been nice instead of being caught off guard with a stranger. Overall we had a nice trip - and didn’t let the minor details affect our week.

Close to beach, nice area, a lot of activities for kids. Good food.
