Work/vacation stay

Amazing property that was perfect for work and fun. Close to everything we needed and Peter was a wonderful host. Would definitely return again!

Amazing views & private yet so close to town

This place is super easy to get to as it's truly 5 to 8 minutes from restaurants, grocery stores, and just about anything. It's perfect for family gatherings as and plenty of space for private enjoyment. The fourth bedroom has a sofa bed that's not as comfy as the other bedrooms but that's the only thing I would say a guest should be aware of. Owner/manager is very responsive and the home and property is very special.

Million Dollar View

Peter was a wonderful host! His house was amazing and had jaw dropping views! We were able to relax & enjoy God's wonderful creation! We will cherish the memories that were made by our family!

Great Property and Very Nice Host

Peter is an excellent host and has been very helpful throughout the stay. He goes out of his way to make sure everything is smooth and shows up right away whenever there is something that needs to be fixed. He even used his truck to help us move. Many thanks to Peter for providing first-class service to us. As for the property, the view is spectacular and it is well-maintained. we really loved it. We will not hesitate to book it again in the future for our family gathering.

Lovely spot

We stayed at Peter’s place over Christmas and it was magical! The home is super comfortable, very well located (near shopping, BART, freeway access and trails), amazing views and had everything we needed. Everyone wants to come back. Stunning Views, Spacious Home, Private Location

You'll view the pictures and say that they look 'Too good to be true'. You'll be wrong--the pictures do not do justice to the sweeping views from the house. Almost every room has a stunning view...the main room-dining room expanse has a truly unbelievable view of Mt. Diablo and surrounding ranges. From sun-up 'til sundown you'll just want to take in the view--and it's not bad at night, either. The house is well appointed, the rooms are large, the master bedroom is especially notable. Ideal for a largish-multi-generational family getaway to the Bay Area. The house sits atop a hill, but is unseen from below. One feels as if one is on an island; yet, Walnut Creek is just below for easy shopping and restaurants. But, why eat out? The house is stocked with dishes, flatware, glassware, mugs, pots, pans, serving dishes, kitchen knives, for a full scale dining experience or just simple breakfast. Large, very modern, and very efficient appliances. A very nicely located laundry-room. For those a bit less spry, no worries, it's all on one level. The owner/manager, Peter, is friendly, highly responsive and available if anything does crop up. A very nice gentleman who loves this home and it shows.

Sweet breeze & sunrise

Our favorite things here, the sunrise over the mountains and the cool breeze. The beds were wonderful, the kitchen had everything we needed. We enjoyed playing pool, cooking breakfast, walking the great hills in the neighborhood and taking lots of pictures. We were wonderfully close to both the city and Sonoma. Enjoyed the drive in and seeing the sights. I will say the turkeys that wandered around the property in the morning were unexpected fun to watch too. Not sure where they came from, but they were having a good time looking at their reflection in all the windows! Overall, a great time here.

Family weekend.

Family weekend. Super nice house. Large and beautiful, located on top of a hill with great views. Everyone raved about it. Loved the pool table! Host was very responsive. Really really great.

Stunning home, wonderful host.

We had a wonderful time. It is a gorgeous home, very well and thoughtfully stocked. The Jura coffee machine was a big hit. The photos don’t do it justice. Peter is a gracious, accommodating and very responsive host. Highly recommend it.

BEAUTIFUL setting for a family getaway!

I know it is trite to say this, but I really do mean it when I say that the pictures do not do this place justice. The views are amazing, and the high ceilings with lots of skylights really add to the openness. A great floorplan to spread out- the master is enormous. The kitchen is wonderful for multiple cooks working together. We saw at least 7 different fireworks shows on New Years Eve from the huge windows in the living room. Peter is a very responsive host, and we had absolutely no issues at all. Our family never wanted to leave - and we are already plotting when we can return!

Just perfect

Great property. Perfect location. The kitchen was fully equipped with pots/pans, bowls, plates, glasses, cutting boards, and additional appliances such as coffee machine, instant pot, sparkling water machine, and more. The house is at the top of a hill with no one around you. The beds are really comfortable for a good night sleep. Just keep in mind that the fourth bedroom has a sleep sofa which might not be as comfortable for an adult. It worked great for our child though. I originally was planning to stay in San Francisco, but Walnut Creek turned out to be an even better solution. There is very little traffic, great restaurants and shops. The house itself is only 8 minutes from the BART which will take you to SF in 35 minutes. I truly recommend this house. It was perfect!

Amazing Walnut Creek Home

This WC home was perfect for our family. Large house and spacious bedrooms and living areas. We were all able to work from home and distance learn simultaneously. The location is great next to highways and downtown WC for food and restaurants. The views are completely undersold and is absolutely stunning. The house is very clean and well appointed. Very private too for being in a residential neighborhood. Our experience with host Peter was also excellent, as he addressed any questions and concerns very promptly. Highly recommend it! Dave

Lovely home

We stayed a week at this property and it worked very well for our family. Lovely home with a fantastic view. We especially loved the morning visits by the local wild turkeys and deer.

Fantastic experience and a generous host

The Overlook is even more spectacular than it appears on the website. The view is magnificent, and the house is home-like and grand, truly a luxury experience. We enjoyed mornings through the huge windows overlooking Mt Diablo and evenings, as the mountain turned red from the sunset. Turkeys and deers come by to greet you in the morning. We stayed there during the fires. Peter generously offered to extend our stay and then purchased the air purifiers that we needed. We could not have been more pleased.

Unique Hilltop Property Delivers

Peter is a good host, and the property is great. The place is very well represented by the photos. The view of the valley and Mount Diablo are wonderful, and we even got to do some decent star gazing despite the proximity to the city. We'd definitely stay again.

Our Stay

We had an amazing stay at Peter's house. His house is gorgeous and has a great layout. We relaxed and made some fantastic Thanksgiving memories. Peter was very gracious and checked on us numerous times to see if we needed anything. I highly recommend Peter and his place. It is one of a kind. Thanks, Peter for sharing your house with us. Perfection!

This property was not only beautiful, but also very comfortable. The days started with a gorgeous sunrise. Our days were spent being tourists, and this was a very convenient place to take off from. Our evenings were spent at any one of their excellent restaurants in the area, and we relaxed in the home every evening. I would recommend staying here and I plan to do so again!

Great stay and helpful host

Peter's property is absolutely beautiful and very spacious. The location is very private and very convenient, we were close to freeway access and very close to downtown. My guests and I loved the house and watched a killer sunrise over the mountains on one of the mornings. I would recommend this home instantly. Thanks again Peter!

Great location, fantastic property

We stayed at Peters house for a couple weeks while we were working on a project in the Bay Area. The guys loved it, very clean and newly updated. Great location as well.

This home belonged to my parents, so it's been in the family for over 50 years. My family immigrated to California from Denmark in 1962. We feel very fortunate to live in this area.. We love the Walnut Creek area and think it is one of the most beautiful places to live, I manage the property and live close by in another great home.

Derfor valgte værten dette overnatningssted

It is truly a unique property, one of 2 on Acalanes Ridge with a 1.2 acre lot that is the top of the hill. This gives the property a very private setting, with views in all directions. Privacy, quiet, and exposed to nature. Often I see Deer wander on the property.

the views and privacy can't be matched. Great place for a retreat, company team meetings and retreat. We have business items such as easels, markers, note pads. multi zone high speed wifi 6 system with 800MB download speeds We also have parking on property for up to 10 vehicles
