Great house, fantastic location

We really enjoyed our stay, the house is great. So much space and a well-equipped kitchen. It is very conveniently located, many restaurants etc. nearby and very short drive to the beach in Caleta. Very nice surroundings and very quiet at night. We loved the fireplace! Will definitely come again.

Cozy and calm

We had a fantastic stay at the house. Good cleaning and The house was exactly as described in photos. We had car during our stay and had it parked in the garage. We also loved the area and neighbourhood. Cozy small restaurants and cafees in the area. Defenitly would book this again. Communication was very good with the host.

South Madeira Idyll

Lovely small town of Prazeres with multiple excellent restaurants and a lovely well appointed house. Very clean & spacious for the 4 of us with outside space for relaxing in the evening. Air Con was a blessing ! One improvement would be a more modern smart TV to access Netflix etc especially for the youngsters, other than this its perfect.

Very nice house

We had a great stay in this lovely house. We especially enjoyed the outdoor table (even in winter it is a sunny place) and the fireplace in the livingroom. The daily drive to get to Funchal and other sights/walkingtrails is a really beautiful one along the coast. The host was really nice and communicative. Thank you Catia !

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this well maintained house. It was our first trip to Madeira, which is a beautiful island. Catia was very easy to communicate with and always responsive to queries.

Our come back to Madeira Island

This was our third time at LEAHOUSE. It is very spacious for two people. There is everything you need if you want to cater for yourself. Communication with Catia is very smooth. She responds very quickly and always helps when necessary. We will definitely come back and can highly recommend the accommodation.

Family celebration for 90 year old father!

Absolutely fantastic stay! I come to Madeira yearly and when I’m with family I ALWAYS stay at either Leahouse or Laurishouse and you cant beat the location and the fantastic community! With the highway right there you can go everywhere. When we have any issues they respond quickly and never a problem! The houses have EVERYTHING! Top quality! Strongly recommend, you wont be disappointed!!

"Wonderful Place"

We spent a worderful week at this lovely house, it could hardly have been better. Lovely, clean, very well equipped, great kitchen, quiet neighborhood but very well located, restaurants close by. Wonderful host Mr. Gabriel Caires the owner who greeted us very warmly .Everything - location, amenities, price (value for money), overall comfort of stay and.. fireplace :) We will definitely do our best to come back here, totally recommended! Just great. Many Thanks.

Great place to relax and go for long walks

We enjoyed a week at this house in Prazeres. House is fully-equipped with everything you could ask for; with the added benefit of being in a quiet neighborhood with a high percentage of residents who have moved here from other countries, leading to many interesting conversations. Beds and furniture were comfortable, WiFi was always available and reasonably fast. Located close to the Farmer's Market that is open on Sunday mornings. There are several small restaurants and mini-marts nearby to keep you well-supplied. Bus stop is located 5-10 minute walk from house. Excellent buffet restaurant inside Hotel Jardim Atlantico, about a 20-minute walk....a bit longer if you go to enjoy the beautiful sunsets.

Excellent base for exploring the western half of Madeira

The property is located in a quiet and rural setting and provided us with an excellent base for the many hikes we did over western Madeira. The equipment and facilities are as advertised with several restaurants within walking distance. There is also secure, off-street parking which is very helpful given that the local streets are narrow. Our stay during February included a few cool days and the provided heating (wood burning fire, gas heater) were unable to keep the large living/dining space warm. At the end of our stay, the temperature rose and this was no longer an issue. There are also several cracked panes of glass that need to be replaced for this to be a 5-star property.

Perfect dream house!!!

Hello Cátia! Thank you for a wonderful vacation in your dream house! From the beginning till to the end it was a perfect holiday. We have felt very comfortable in your house. The location was perfect for us. There is a supermarket nearby and some restaurants are within walking distance. The equipment of the house leaves nothing to be desired, nothing is missing. The house is just fantastic. Unfortunately we have not met you personally, but herewith all greetings to Paul. Everything worked out wonderful. He was very helpful and explained everything to us well! We enjoyed our holiday very much and it was very difficult for us your house and Madeira again to leave. We would definitely come back. There is still so much to experience on the island. Again a big THANK YOU! to you and your family and hopefully see you next time. Lovely greetings from Melanie & Dubi!

Lovely comfortable stay at Lea House

We had a lovely comfortable stay with our friends at Leahouse. It is a comfortable extremely nice family dwelling a quite but beautiful village setting. It has all the amenities you would require for a family holiday and we particularly liked the design of the staircase and very efficient log burner. Which heats the whole house. This fire is essential because without it the house would be unbearably cold at night. The house was. Extremely good value. We had initially a little difficulty finding the house partly due to lack of WiFi but a house number would have been useful. The house was ideal and we would have no problems recommending this property for a family holiday. In fact we were very sorry to have to leave this house. The only two minor criticisms is the WiFi is a bit irregular often drops off or runs very slowly. The beds although comfortable have very sharp corners which we kept catching ourselves on so be weary. Apart from this it is an excellent facility in a lovely part of Maderia in a friendly village no worries recommending this property.

Great, modern base for hiking

We chose this beautiful modern house for a few days of relaxation and exploration after an intense work trip and it was good. The house is modern and clean and comfortable. The furniture new and nice and all appliances the same. There are huge doors you can slide open to bring the outside in and comfortable outdoor furniture. The town is about as rural as you can find on this surprisingly populated island and we enjoyed exploring the coffee shops and local hikes. Easy to get here from anywhere on the island with a car. There are a few things could be improved to make it feel more like a home and less like leftovers from someone else’s house. There were only 2 bowls and no cutting board. Otherwise, the kitchen was well equipped. It would be great to have some basics like olive oil, basic spices and laundry detergent but maybe past visitors have abused things like this. The beds are rock hard - 1 the hardest I’ve ever felt, the smallest reasonable so we slept in there after the first uncomfortable night. There not being any heating except for additional pay was surprising, especially since it was cranking when we arrived. Then we never turned it n again after reading the instruction book. The arrival instruction were sent as PDFs that opened as lots of code and nothing readable. We waited a while after arriving to receive a code for the lock box after trying to call text and email through the app. Everything was fine after that but I feel like we missed some info.

House was very comfortable, quiet, very clean and spacious. Easily have 4 to 6 people in the house and not feel cramped.Furniture was good quality and nice to use.Kitchen was well equipped.Conveniently located with restaurants and coffee shops.Definitely would rent it again.

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour à Prazeres dans la jolie maison de Catia ; vaste, confortable, décorée avec goût et bien placée, sans aller trop loin pour faire les courses , entre autres le super mercado jouxtant la pizzéria, sans oublier le restaurant "Abrigos dos Prazeres", nous proposant des plats typiques et délicieux. Seul point négatif dans la "maison jaune" : la maison est grande, il serait donc judicieux et si pratique d'avoir un aspirateur, plutôt que le balai mis à notre disposition.Autrement tout était parfait et nous garderons un souvenir merveilleux et inoubliable de cette île magnifique entre mer et montagne doté d'un soleil quasi quotidien. Das Leahouse ist sehr geräumig und sehr gut ausgestattet. Es hat unserer Familie an nichts gefehlt, auch Sitzmöglichkeiten im Haus und aussen sind ausreichend vorhanden. Die Lage ist perfekt für Wanderungen in der Umgebung und auch ist man schnell auf den größeren Straßen, um andere Ausgangspunkte zu erreichen. Für uns war es auch sehr positiv, dass es eine Garage 'im' Haus gibt und dass das Grundstück geschlossen ist. Das Inserat gibt Haus und Umgebung perfekt wider. Man kommt mit einem normalen Auto direkt auf das Grundstück.Sofern Französisch Betten für alle 'Paare' ok sind, bietet das Haus problemlos auch Platz für 6 Personen, zumal es drei vollständig ausgestattete Bäder gibt. Alles Super!

Wir waren jetzt zum 4. Mal im Leahouse und können es nur weiterempfehlen. Das Wetter war in diesem Jahr sehr kühl und unbest ändig mit viel Regen. Die Heizung, die seit 2024 eingebaut worden ist, hat uns die Situation aber deutlich leichter ertragen lassen.

Familienurlaub für Wandern und Entspannen

Der Aufenthalt in dem Haus war sehr schön. Mit vier Personen ist das Haus sehr großzügig, hell und gut ausgestattet. Man hat genug Platz für alle und kann im großen Ess-/Wohnzimmer gemütliche Abende verbringen. Durch die Klimaanlage kann auch im Winter geheizt werden.Die Lage ist schön ruhig. Restaurants und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten sind fußläufig erreichbar.Die Organisation zur Vermietung ist sehr einfach und freundlich.
