The pool was lovely and comfortably warm until the owner turned the heating down two days before our departure.Unfortunately, there was no response to our calls or texts until the evening before we left, which was disappointing.Future guests should be aware that they wilneed to purchase all cleaning supplies, dishwasher and laundry tablets, and loo rolls, as well as any condiments — only the bare minimum are provided. On the positive side, the gardens are beautifully maintained and add real charm to the property.If the same level of care was given to the pool and outdoor lighting, this Villa could easily merit five stars. During our stay, there was no lighting around the pool, and several pool tiles were missing, some floating about the water giving it a slightly tired appearance. Although we reported the issue promptly, the electrician didn’t arrive until the next day and explained that the pool lights being faulty is a long-standing fault that couldn’t be fully addressed due to ongoing bookings!!Given the price point, expectations are understandably high. It’s a lovely Villa with great potential — and with some electrical investment in the pool, lighting, and general upkeep, it could truly offer an exceptional experience.Caterina did her best to help but could only suggest that we use the pool without lighting which again was a key reason for choosing this Villa.Would I book again? Yes - if I was guaranteed that these issues were resolved as it did impact.
