heavenly place to stay

this chalet is perfect, bit reluctant to praise it to highly as it would be booked for the next time we want to stop there, but it really was. Family of 15, 8 adults and 7 children, facilities all laid out on one floor and perfectlly set for ski-ing. Hosts were always easy to contact and available, and their knowledge of Alp DHuez was superb.. Position was also great, being 100-200 yards from ski lift, 50 yards from ski hire shop, bars and restaurants, and if there was any noise from them we didnt hear, so would have thought it might be soundproof. as i have said overall BRILLIANT.

Great appartment

Top location (next to Boulangerie). A lot of space and very well equiped appartment. The owner lives next door and is very service orientated.

The Golden Rock should not be overlooked, this chalet gives you everything and more than you could possibly want for a relaxing stay for large families without living on top of each other. The space is cleverly designed and the photos do not do this property justice. We were 5 families of 16 people and this spacious chalet ticked every box. A very well equipped kitchen with everything you need and more For cooking large amounts for big groups, the rooms are spacious with en-suite bathrooms and amazing Italian showers, a ski & boot room with warmers for all the equipment, plus a very large entrance to hang and dry all the coats and trousers. The hot tub was lovely to come home to and relax after a hard day on the slopes whilst having a draft beer from the beer machine. Location is perfect, with access to 2 lifts within 100m, a boulangerie next door for fresh croissants and cakes, bars, restaurants and ski hire all on your door step. Jean and his family are what made this stay extra special, they welcomed us and nothing was ever too much for them, any problem day or night they are on hand, even for changing the beer keg. We have been staying across the alps for the last 20 years as a large group and This is by far the best property we have ever stayed in, we have even enquired into rebooking for next year, as the group loved it so much. A huge thank you to Jean and his family for giving us a million pound experience and we cant wait to visit the Golden Rock Next year.

Le rêve : On a refaire l'année prochaine.

Les photos parlent d'elles-mêmes. Un chalet au cœur de la station donc l'endroit parfait pour les skieurs et les non skieurs. (1 min à pied pour prendre le télésiège). Nous avons au le chance d’être accueilli par le propriétaire, il a su nous mettre à l'aise très rapidement, durant le séjour nous l'avons recroisé. Jean, son fils à parfaitement gérer les " a cotés, rendant notre séjour encore plus agréable (Bons plans, bonnes adresses, les événements à faire etc). Très bonne communication et une réactive efficace. Nous avons passé 7 jours dans ce chalet et tout fut parfait. Commençons par les chambres, toutes décorées avec raffinement, le chalet se veut authentique et ressemble aux gouts des propriétaires. Vous trouverez dans les chambres tous les éléments de confort d'un hôtel 5 étoiles. De plus, le linge de maison, de bain sont de fabrication Française. Les parties communes sont quant à elles, superbement bien pensées, c'est un vrai chalet pour 16 personnes. Une grande table pour réunir tout le monde, une cuisine entièrement équipée, aucunes mauvaises surprises, appareil à raclette etc ... Pour les skieurs, le local à skis avec l'appareil qui chauffe vos chaussures le matin est un vrai régal. Il y a un grand dressing à l'entrée afin de mettre vos manteaux et matos de ski. Les plus +: WIFI excellent, la générosité de Christian et Jean, le jacuzzi ++, les Playstations, les tv dans tout le chalet. Les moins: Rien. Encore MERCI.

Sublime séjour entre amis..

Chalet très spacieux, à la décoration soignée, pensée dans les moindres détails. Accueillis chaleureusement par messieurs Orcel père puis fils, tout est prévu pour passer des vacances sur mesure: forfaits sur la table à notre arrivée, rv pris avec un moniteur de ski, massage offert au spa-jaccuzzi, dîner de bienvenue... nous avons savouré notre séjour au Golden Rock et ne voulions plus en partir.

Fantastic place!

We were three families (15 people) sharing the apartment and everyone agrees this is a fantastic place. It is equipped with everything you need (and more). It is very nicely done and as there are 5 bedrooms, five bathrooms and a big social area the place never felt crowded. To add the room for skiis and boots is fantastic and well thought through. The location is excellent. We came with Ben's Buses from Grenoble airport and the bus stopped 20 metres from the apartment, very convenient. Also to get to the lifts you have 2 ways to choose from, both located on very short walking distance to the apartment and coming home from the slopes, if there is enough snow, you can almost ski all the way. I am happy to recommend this place to anyone who wants to live very comfortably in a beatiful and very nice apartment!
