Studio condo + Convertible (queen bed), 1 Bath, (Sleeps 2-4)
Our tidy ground level condo is perched atop Big Sky located 1/2 mile from the Mountain Village, the center of apres ski activities and ski lifts. This cozy condo is tastefully decorated in lodge decor. When you open the door, you'll know you have arrived in Montana. Once inside, you will notice the spectacular view of Lone Mountain from the living room window. Our comfortable studio condo has a queen size bed and queen size fold out couch making it perfect for a couple or a family of four.
The kitchen is fully equipped with new full size appliances including dishwasher, microwave and coffee maker (and coffee). Along with Dish TV & DVD player there are movies and books to enjoy during your stay. We also have a large flat-screen TV and password secured WI-FI for your convenience.
A free ski shuttle from the condo parking lot will deliver you to the lifts running about every 30 minutes. (winter only)
Big Ski has a treasure trove of activities both in winter and in summer. World class downhill and cross country skiing are only steps away. Dinner sleigh rides, dog sledding, snowshowing, and snowmobiling will keep you busy in winter. Golfing, fishing, horseback riding, hiking, whitewater rafting, wildlife viewing or a simple picnic in a meadow of wildflowers are all just a stones throw away too.
Other nearby activities include disc golf, guided hikes, skeet shooting & mountain bike rentals. Also available are paintball, the high ropes course, Big Sky zipline, bungee trampoline, and climbing wall.
Don't forget Yellowstone National Park, a 58 mile drive, and Historic Bozeman Montana, a 50 mile drive, are about an hour from our condo.

About Lucy Ham
We are the Ham family. We love to work & play in the spectacular Montana outdoors. Besides skiing, we enjoy hiking, horseback riding, fly fishing and just kicking back on our deck, with our 3 dogs, soaking in the beauty of Big Sky Country.
Lucy Ham purchased this Condo in 2004
Why Lucy Ham chose Big Sky Mountain Village
We purchased our condo as a family get-a-way and to share it with the many travelers that pass our way. We are thankful that of the all who have stayed at our condo, they have treated it as if it were their own.
What makes this Condo unique
Even though most visitors use it during the winter, summer is wonderful too. So many characteristics that are unique to our area, make it my favorite place for hiking, animal watching, & world class fly fishing. Big Sky also brings in some great entertainment during the summer months, not to mention a really nice weekly farmers market.

Not quite as represented
While this is a very budget friendly choice, the property is quite different than represented. The prominent pics and description of that scenic, warm pool and spa? Yeah, well, that is from a different, unrelated hotel property a mile away--and you don't get legit access to that. (The owner gave us a borrowed access card and told us not to talk to the front desk of the hotel. The key card didn't work, and we literally had to jump a gate and sneak in.) Similarly, it isn't a "ten minute walk to the lifts"--again, it is a full mile away. Driving (or shuttle) is required. Finally, the VRBO unit was about 50 degrees when we arrived and took more than three hours to warm up to a bearable temperature. Finally, the upstairs neighbor partied all night--even at 2 and 3 a.m.--and the stomping on thin floors made sleep impossible. We communicated these issues to the owner but her response was not very helpful.
On the more positive side, the unit was stocked with nice supplies of extra toothbrushes, soap, and toothpaste, etc., and the kitchen was very functional. In many ways, this is a fair unit for the price--but it is far better for VRBO properties to under promise and over perform than to make claims that disappoint when they are untrue (like pool pictures and claimed access, distance from lifts, etc.)
Lisa, it is unfortunate that you did not reveal your dissatisfaction with our property until after you checked out. We definitely could have addressed your concerns and you would have had an entirely different experience. I invite others looking at your review to read our other reviews here as well as at our Phoenix, AZ property (VRBO 506996). What you will find is that I am very attentive to the needs of our guests and quickly available 24/7. I am totally perplexed why you made no attempt to contact me or our condo manager whose phone number was also supplied to you.
I know it didn't help matters that you ran into a major snow storm traveling from WA to MT which put you at our condo a day late after driving all night. However, for others reading your review I need to correct some inaccuracies and exaggerations.
-I have never advertised or promised free pool/hot tub access to any Big Sky hotel to anyone booking our condo. I have also never said or suggested that we have pool facilities on our condo property. I have been a VRBO member for 10 years and have had no confusion regarding pools or hot tubs. If departing guests left pool passes on the counter, instead of throwing them away, I leave them for incoming guests and let them know that I don't not know if they were still active but they could try them out. The pool photo you are referring to clearly stated in our property description that pool passes were available for purchase at the hotel front desk. When I asked you if you tried to purchase passes I got no response.
-The distance from the condo to the mountain base is 1/2 mile, 11 min walk....according to a 30 sec google search. I still consider it too far for young children carrying ski equipment to walk. The free shuttle provided from the parking lot comes every 30 minutes (winter only). The schedule is posted on the refrigerator door. It is all explained in my welcome letter.
-Condo is set at 60 upon arrival. It may take up to an hour to reach desired temperature. Another exaggeration.
-I agree the noise would be very annoying. Apparently, it wasn't annoying enough to let me know until after you had checked out. Next time you stay in a property of this type, I suggest you better communicate with the owners. It is always our goal to provide a quality experience for our guests. I am sorry we didn't have the opportunity to meet your expectations. I hope you have better luck next time.
Great little getaway
Great little place for couples getaway
Perfectly cozy! My son and I stayed for several days while visiting Big Sky, The Tetons and Yellowstone. The place was very clean, well stocked and very comfortable. Lucy was so responsive and helpful. We would love to visit again in the winter!
I stayed at Lucy's condo the month of July 2016 and really enjoyed it. The condo is a studio, but didn't feel like a single room. The layout is nice, everything is clean and well organized. Lucy provides a swim pass for one of the lodge pools, which is a nice perk! Lucy was very pleasant and easy to work with during the booking process.
The condo is about a 10 minute walk to the resort lodges where you can find shopping, numerous activities and the ski lifts. It's about a 10 minute drive to get to the town of Big Sky where there are several restaurants, grocery stores and more shopping. Concerts in the park on Thursdays during the summer. The whole area is gorgeous!
This is a perfect place for 2 - 4 people. Close to the slopes, very will taken care of, and Lucy's was so easy to get this booked. I will be back again! Thanks Lucy!
Beautiful summer get-away!
We rented Lucy's townhouse in Big Sky MT a couple of weeks ago for a trip to the mountains. The directions to the place were perfect, and upon arrival, we were absolutely stunned with the amazing views! The townhouse was clean, very nicely decorated, and perfect for what we were looking for. We took many day trips to Yellowstone, which was only 45 minutes away. Being able to use the pools, hot tubs, sauna amenities was perfect after a long day of hiking in the mountains. The town of Big sky was beautiful. Great shopping, restaurants, and things to do for all ages. We even saw the moose and her baby on the golf course. We would highly recommend this place to anyone. I am sure it would be amazing in the ski season also! THANKS LUCY!!!
