Loved feeding the deer in the mornings. The property is in a nice neighborhood. The room was nice and had everything we needed.

Besides the views being fantastic, there is a peacefulness that makes for a truly relaxing and refreshing experience from life's typical craziness! I cannot recommend this place enough. I have been here before and will continue to come back!

This was an amazing place and so relaxing. All the details wrt deer, birds, turkeys left us laughing and happy. The hosts thoughtful snacks and games were very appreciated as well. Planning to return very soon.

Quaint hill country stay

Small but comfortable, well maintained, and equipped vacation rental. Wonderful views from the spacious deck and plenty of wild life to sit back and watch. Great time.

50th Birthday Getaway

Loved Distant View! The view and the wildlife was amazing. Close to downtown Fredricksburg but out where you can relax and here the birds and quietness. Will definitely stay here again.

Beautiful place very clean with all the amenities needed. The host/hostess provided a nice welcome basket including a bottle of local wine. We loved sitting on the patios overlooking the valley watching the wildlife and sunsets. Such a relaxing and peaceful setting. I would highly recommend staying at Distant Views.

Amazing time

Pictures don't do it justice!

We absolutely loved our stay here. The pictures on the website don't do this place justice, and they already paint a very pretty picture. Highly recommend staying here if you love picturesque views of hill country, sunsets, and wildlife.

Perfect!

We loved everything about our stay here! Beautiful views, quiet, relaxing, lots of nature while not too far from local activities. We have stayed many times in this area and enjoyed each trip; but, this was, by far, our best experience! We will be back!

Great views and Peaceful!

So relaxing! Beautiful view of sunsets. Deers were so fun to feed and watch! Loved the birds that visited often!! Peaceful and a great reset from the busy life.

Amazing Views & Cozy

The B&B was perfect for our anniversary stay. The views are spectacular and those sunsets will be the thing I miss the most! The deer feeder is such a sweet touch and awesome to experience. The wonders thought of everything we may have needed to make it a cozy stay with my husband.

Amazing view on a great patio! There were bird feeders and deer corn to throw so we were able to have breakfast with the birds and watch the sunset with the deer! Throw in some local wine, snacks and homemade banana bread and this was a real treat! There were even mints by the bed. Great space with an amazing shower and everything you need for a romantic weekend for two! The hosts were easy to communicate with and very kind. Great location and just an all around wonderful experience! We will be back and highly recommend!

Best experience we’ve had.

The owners really thought of everything. We had the full B&B experience. They even had a zip line set up for us to feed the deer! The breakfast is excellent and the patio provided an excellent outdoor experience. The neighborhood is beautiful! Will definitely be back!

Anniversary getaway

Distant views was the most beautiful, amazing experience. The hosts Gene and Lyn are the sweetest. They have thought of everything possible that you would need. Fedding the wildlife was the best. Thank you for sharing your beautiful views with us.

Great Location

This quaint property was perfect for a getaway to Fredericksburg! Location was out of town but easy to access town and many wineries. The house is located on a property with the owners house but still has privacy. The bottle of wine and homemade banana bread were a sweet addition as well. My only disappointment was that the fireplace was not working.

Truly a wonderful stay on so many levels. Amazing hill country view. The wildlife was so charming. Feeding the deer with the trolley and dropping handfuls off the deck was quite entertaining. The bird feeders were filled with cardinals and close to a dozen humming birds. The attention to detail inside was top shelf with a complimentary wine, tasty banana bread and snacks. We will definitely have to return to this amazing place with a secluded feel just a short drive to the fun of Fredricksburg!

Fantastic stay!

My husband and I stayed here and it was perfect! 7 miles outside of town, no hustle and bustle. The zip line to feed the deer is genius! The kitchen is stocked with utensils, there’s a mini fridge, and comfy couch. All you need to sit back and relax! The sunset on the deck is beautiful. Gene and Lyn truly have a piece of heaven. Rent this space, you will not be disappointed!

There are not enough words to describe how amazing this place was. It was definitely the main attraction of our trip. The owners shower you with a great spirit of hospitality providing a clean, organized, and well kept place that feels like home. They also provide a delicious daily continental breakfast the gets you going in the morning. A wonderful bonus is a beautiful view of the glorious Texas Hill Country filled with wildlife seen every moment you look out your room. This Heaven on Earth leaves you never wanting to leave.

Adventure for TX wine

My husband and I sought to escape the bright lights of the city and go in search of TX wines. This property fit our needs for the days we were seeking. The unit didn’t have a working fireplace and we were gifted a bottle of wine in exchange. The property was comfortable and quiet. Easy to come and go.
