Spectacular lower level 2 bedroom-1 bath located in Coco Plum near many marinas and on a deep-water open bay. Upper level is not rented and is private, you will rent this property and enjoy your privacy with full lower-level access! You will not be disappointed in how we have decorated inside our sweet piece of paradise but, the view... you get to see just about everything anywhere you stand, and it is simply stunning!! Location, location, location! *******You do not share this property with anyone while you are renting, nobody is in upper level of home.*******
Our beautiful piece of paradise is located in the lower level of house on a massive double lot property with plenty of room for boat trailers and vehicles. Our home is set up for wheelchair accessibility for anyone in need with a wheelchair, walker or crutches at both front and back walkways. Sit and relax on the back deck area and watch all the sea life and wildlife near our home, we even have our local hens who like to have a few chicks throughout the year, and it is with great pleasure to let you know they love to eat the no see ums in the mangroves!!
We are located on the Island of Coco Plum, near the City of Marathon, and are tucked away near marinas so you will have plenty to do while sitting at the dock or our undercover patio area or our back patio veranda. Our home is on a deep-water open water canal overlooking Bonefish Bay in Coco Plum. We are very close to so many marinas to launch your boat(s) or watercraft for an easy check in or check out when you arrive or depart. The easiest and free boat launch is located near the Island Fish Company, just a few short blocks from our home.
Two very nice docks are available on our property for your convenience with ladders for easy access to get on or off your boat(s). We use the plural term as we do have the two docks. The Atlantic side of the island is where we are located, and it takes a short 10-15 minutes to open water and out to fish the best Mahi-Mahi, Tuna off the humps, or stay close to the island for some of the best Mangrove Snapper you can eat!
We offer a bait freezer for the avid fishing person(s), a LP gas grill for fabulous daily grilling of your choice and we provide a kayak. Bike and Kayak rentals throughout Marathon that will deliver and pick up for your convenience.
Inside our home we offer an open kitchen/living room concept with an amazing view of the open water from the back deck, either off the living room or master bedroom. Imagine listening to the birds early in the morning if you want to keep the doors open in the cooler nights! Our kitchen is fully stocked with just about anything you need and if we don’t have it, let us know. For those who like their coffee strong or decaf, we provide a regular coffee pot and a Keurig, microwave for the quick and easy eaters, toaster oven, brand new flat top stove, and a French Door refrigerator with ice and water dispenser. A dishwasher is provided if you don’t like to do dishes, who does? Just off the kitchen area behind a pantry door is a full-sized washer and dryer for your convenience.
Our Master Bedroom has a very comfy king-sized bed, dresser with 32-inch smart TV, and nice walk-in closet for those guests who want to stay with us more than 7 days. 2nd bedroom offers 2 twin beds, dresser and closet for added sleeping with family or guests and our sofa in the living room is a pull-out sofa sleeper if you need room for up to 6 guests.
The living room has a sofa-sleeper, loveseat and chair nestled in the nicely decorated space to help make you feel like you are certainly in Shangri-La-pure paradise! A 46-inch smart TV is in the living room area with cable for your convenience and a phone for local calls if needed. We do have secured wireless internet for those who want to get away and still have to work; we won’t tell anyone you are at our home; it will be our little secret if you work remotely! Our bathroom offers a fully glassed-in shower with plenty of room on the counter.
Close attractions to our home are Aquarium Encounters, Curry Hammock State Park, Coco Plum Beach, an all-natural beach. We are about 4-5 miles from the Dolphin Research Center located in Grassy Key and 3-4 miles from the World-Famous Turtle Hospital or Sombrero Beach and if you mosey over 3 more miles you will have reached the other World-Famous attraction-7-mile bridge!
This home is equipped with a pool heater for the cooler days and warmed up to 88 degrees and a chiller for those warm days and cooled to 85 degrees. $154/week to either chill or heat.
