The penthouse in the Peaks was beautiful with fantastic views and was comfortable and cozy. There is a very large space upstairs to gather and large bedrooms and bathrooms on the main floor. Awesome location to ski in / out w valet service in property. Very clean
The Penthouse condo was even better than the pictures, beautiful furnishings and we really enjoyed the living room and patio. The kitchen was self sufficient and well provisioned and we really appreciated the little extras that made the visit really enjoyable. Location was great.
I absolutely love The Peaks. The condos are as spacious & up to date as the photos look. The location is great, and the restaurant is really top notch. I would dine at Altezza even if I wasn't staying at The Peaks - it's really that good, and a value given the food quality you get. The service is slow, but that's everywhere in Telluride.
I would stay at this specific unit again in a heartbeat.
If you're staying in the summer, though, just be aware that the AC isn't that strong. You're probably going to want to keep the curtains closed in the afternoons to avoid the sun heating up the room, then open the sliding patio door as soon as the sun goes down, and leave it open overnight. The AC just can't keep up with 80-90 degree summer days. (We called maintenance, and the best they could do was wash the filter, but they admitted this was as good as it got.)
The heat problem is made a little worse in this particular unit because there are no windows in the bedroom, so it doesn't get much air circulation at all. I wouldn't want to house 4 people in this unit during the summers unless you're all comfortable enough sleeping with the doors open.
That's the only negative, though - otherwise I really would stay in this exact unit again anytime, including summer.
Perfect location, super easy check in with helpful management. Unit had an amazing view and over all really great, just a few things in the unit that needed a little love and service and cleaning.
This room was furnished very nicely and was the perfect accommodation for a weeks stay in Telluride. It was nice to have a refrigerator and freezer as well as washer and dryer. We shopped at the local grocery store and on the days we just wanted to rest and stay in, we were able to do so. The view from this room is amazing and we’ll definitely be back!
Disappointed with communication around current state
Chose this location as we got married in Telluride and I am an avid life long golfer. Called the week before and two weeks out around tee time process. Was told no problem if we stay at Peaks Spa Resort and can make tee times 24 hours out. Checked in on a Tuesday night and went to pro shop Wednesday morning but informed no tee times and likely none the rest of the week or our time there. Checked with concierge Thursday morning and same thing, but maybe could find a 9 hole tee time Saturday afternoon at 3:30. If this a member controlled course just state it on your website and listing as I would of just stayed in town.
Booked a massage 2 weeks for our last day and during our stay we were walking through the spa to the pool when we happened to see signs that spa facilities were closed (soaking tubs, steam rooms etc) I completely understand during these times covid-19 this can happen but maybe communicate this to the guest when booking mountain spa rate massages.
Our bathroom had a 12” x 24” hole cut out in the ceiling. I again understand repairs happen and are needed but when you pay these daily rates for a week in a resort this isn’t acceptable.
Location is beautiful, but completely let myself and new wife down.
