A two bedroom, one bathroom property that can accommodate up to 6 people. has a fully equipped kitchen with fridge, stove, ovens, cooking utensils and dinning wares. Linens and towels will be provided to guests. WiFi connection available. No pets allowed. Non smoking property.

Enjoy the quiet beach, peaceful surroundings and lots of nature. The night sky is spectacular and the stars are countless. The cottage is very cozy, QUIET, very comfortable for your relaxation. If you're looking to escape, the cottage is for you!
The property being on the lake, the weather changes anytime and is much cooler and windy, however window air conditioner are provided during hot weather.

This place is beautiful and definitely a place to restore the soul. We had such a great time as a family enjoying the beach and the water. Our two kids loved the upstairs area and spent a lot of time up there playing. We will definitely go back!!!

Wonderful location

This is the fourth year in a row we have stayed at this property. It is in a great location for us, is clean, and has everything you need for your stay. We stayed three years in a row at Property 1, and the first year at Property 2. Property 1 has a better view, but Property 2 has better beds for seniors as the loft beds in Property 1 are low to the ground. We hope to move back to Property 2 next year.

Convenient to beach. Better cleaning for next guests. Windows. Living room ceiling lights were dirty, lots of dead flies in them. Also, a shower handle bar would be useful especially for older guests.

Lake house stay

Overall a great family stay. Property is very quiet. Definitely bring a good pair of water shoes as the beach and water is rocky. However, once you get out to the sandbar, it’s all fun and games. There is a nice beach just in town that we checked out for a few hours if the rocks at the lake house bother you. The food shack at the beach had some great burgers. The house has everything we needed except a drying rack for when we did dishes. Great communication with the owners while we stayed. If you are looking for an easy going trip, this is the spot.

Start your day with a a cup of coffee and watch the sun rises in the water of Lake Huron. Come and see the beauty of the thumb area of Michigan .Spend your family vacation in a private sandy beach, kayaking ,canoeing , fishing, or just relax in the beach.

All that we needed and more!

Great property right on Lake Huron, it really had all the amenities we needed for a great stay. Would highly recommend for people looking to get away and have a peaceful time.

Great Place To Stay

This was our first time using VRBO. Everything went perfectly. Great place for a family getaway. Just show up and relax. The beach area was perfect.

Perfect for our family

We had family from out of state stay in this side, while we rented the other unit. They had a wonderful time and couldn't believe how nice the beach was and the amount of stars you can see there at night.

At this part of Lake Huron the beach is sandy and clean with many beautiful rocks you can collect and color . Relax in a private beach at daytime and star gazing at night , a priceless vacation.

Great family place!

We rented for 4 days around Fourth of July 2022 and we had a great time. The property is very kid friendly there are two gates leading to the water and it’s completely fenced in. We took our 4 and 1 year old and they had a blast playing on the beach and in the water. We will be looking forward to visiting again sometime in the future.

Peaceful

We had an enjoyable time. There wasn't anyone in the other half of the house so it was very quiet and peaceful. Nice beach, great for rock hunting. The house was clean and comfortable.

Beautiful property!

Our family desperately needed a few days of relaxation in a clean and safe environment and that is exactly what we got. The private beach was amazing and perfect for our young kids. The house was very clean and stocked with everything we needed, including hand sanitizer other cleaning supplies. There are two units, so you do share the beach, but there is plenty of room and two fire pits. Lots of privacy and so many stars!

First Anniversary Vacation

We liked the quaint size of the cabin (i.e. comfortable). My stepson and his fiancé stayed the first 2 nights upstairs and the room is better designed for children not adults. We especially enjoyed the privateness of the beach area. Only a couple of times during the week did we see anyone on the beach and only when they walked past. It is a beautiful location. We also enjoyed watching the freighters sailing by on the lake. The cabin was well stocked with kitchen and bathroom necessities. Thank you so much.

Wonderful Stay for Family Reunion in area

We stay in a rental for our annual family reunion in the area. There were three of us here this year and we booked The Tan's Property #1. The property is very clean and has everything anyone would need for a vacation rental, including both a drip coffee pot and a pod for single cups (bring your own coffee). We enjoy looking out at the lake from the living room and/or the deck. The deck has a large picnic table which we enjoyed every night and early morning. A few of the screens had holes, so we were unable to open the kitchen windows, but did enjoy the fresh breeze through the living room on nice evenings. Joy Tan checks her communications frequently and is very responsive and helpful.

Perfect vacation that we needed during pandemic!

This is a great location in a nice quiet neighborhood with Lake Huron beach as a backyard. The place was a bit smaller than our expectations but adequate for our family needs. If you are looking for eating out etc., this may not be the place for you since the place is in quiet rural area with limited restaurant choices. If your idea of relaxation is fixing some meals and hanging out at beach with your family or taking long walks, this is perfect. Remember, this was in middle of COVID-19 pandemic. If I am looking for a quiet and relaxing vacation I would most certainly consider this place.

The private beach, secluded location in a small rural town , very peaceful and quiet. If relaxation is what you are looking, this is the place.

Annual end-of-summer getaway

This is our 3rd year in a row staying at Sunrise In Sandy Beach. Once again, we had an amazing time. As always, the beach was a hit and we had a great time staying inside and playing games. The house was clean and comfortable for all of us. We did have to use a Wok to make scrambled eggs and bacon since there wasn't a larger non-stick frying pan but it all worked out. :) Also would recommend the Huron City Museum tour with Katie if you're there in the summer over a weekend. If we've come here 3 years now, with 4 kids that now range from ages 6-14, that is saying something. Will be back again!

We continue to make improvements on the property by adding more flowers and improvements in landscaping. The beach is private , lots of sands and variety of small rocks for kids to enjoy. We provide firewoods for the two fire pits at the beach . We’ll continue to add more amenities for your needs. Hoping to see you again next year.
