The apartment is situated in the Bahia Playa complex with very well-maintained garden and a large swimmingpool. There is a tennis Court and a childrens playground with swings and climbing frames. The complex is security fenced. The apartment has two bedrooms and a bright livingroom with a fireplace and access to the balcony, overlooking the beautiful garden and the sea. A few minutes walk will take you to Riviera shopping center with supermarket, bars, restaurants, taxi rank, cash machine and a Medical center. One of the best beaches, Max Beach, with nice beach restaurants and high quality restaurant, is only 5 min walk away.
The nearest golf course, Miraflores Golf, is 5 min drive away, and there are several other attractive golf courses within 15 min drive. Since the public transportation is very good, there is no need to have a car. Nevertheless, if you do have a car there are lots of parkingplaces available inside the gated complex. Riviera is an area that offers a wide range of activities: golf, tennis, go to gym, swimming, horse riding, shopping, bars, restaurants etc. The nearest town is La Cala de Mijas. Marbella and Funegirola are only 10 minutes drive away. If you like skiing, you will reach one of Europes best ski-resorts, Sierra Nevada, in two hours drive.
The apartment has air-conditioning. WiFi and many international TV-channels are included.
Bahia Playa is a residential complex and all guests are asked to show consideration for the residents by keeping the noise level down in the evenings/nights and to follow the urbanizations rules. We do not accept children under the age of 13.

Very well presented apartment-very modern kitchen, good size bedrooms, walkin shower. Good size balcony overlooking pool with sea views. Nice quiet location with easy walk of shops and 15 minute to lots of good restaurants. Would stay again and recommend.

Lovely apartment in a lovely location

We stayed for 10 nights and had a lovely time. The apartment was clean and comfortable. The pool was hardly busy and was always clean and well maintained. It is a fabulous area with so much to do and great connections to places.

Cosy and convenient flat with all the normal furnitures and kitchen ware. Nice area with shopping within five minuttes walk and the Beach at ten minuttes walk. Several good restaurants near by. The local people helpfull in a mix of Spanish and English. We enjoyed our stay a lot!

Great Location

Everything was as shown, garden, pool, tennis court all in excellent shape. A little work as to be done on the shower floor to keep it from flooding the bathroom floor. Would definitely go back.

Absolutely love this apartment. Location is perfect: walking distance to the nearest beach and promenade, close proximity to park, shops, bars and restaurants. Quiet estate with large swimming pool and tennis court. Apartment is very well equipped with everything that one might need. Special thanks to the hosts: Stefan and Kristine. The location was perfect as we did not have a car. Very easy to walk for all groceries and excellent location for using very convenient bus service along the coast. The shower leaked all over the floor every time, so that would be one fix I would recommend

Great apartment

The apartment is in a great location close to the beach, bars, restaurants and supermarket. The facilities are as advertised and the apartment is very clean with everything you would need for a short/long stay. The balcony overlooking the pool is perfect for sitting and catching the last of the days sunshine. The booking process was really easy with great communication from Stefan throughout. I booked with my two teenage sons, as we where attending a local festival. I will certainly be back again in the future with my wife for a full family holiday and a longer stay.

This may be the loveliest holiday rental we have ever had, as holiday renters for quite a few years now. Stefan & Kristin are very helpful, very clear instructions & very available when needed; lovely friendly neighbours, a beautifully well kept pool & gardens, lovely location a short walk to the beach, shops, etcetera, close to the major centres such as Fuengirola, Marbella (& the medium-sized places in between, supersol hypermarket calypso / los olivos 5 minutes' drive for instance) with the bigger stores & facilities etcetera, the apartment itself is very beautifully arranged & appointed, everything we needed, perfect for a family of 5 or 6. We were lucky with the weather too, hot enough to dip in the pool – the children stayed in longer! – in April. Thanks very much Stefan & Kristin, we hope we'll be welcome back :-)

We stayed in this apartment in October 2025 for 6 days. To say we were very disappointed is an understatement. We arrived late evening to find dirty bedding and dirty towels dumped on the sofa from the previous guests, no beds made, blood stains on one bed, no pillow or mattress protectors on any of the beds. Pillows looked and felt like they were filled with cotton wool balls and the apartment had not been cleaned. ( we were refunded the cleaning fee).It was brought to our attention the apartment had an ' ant infestation'. There were ants crawling on the beds, sofa, worktops, cooker, cupboards etc. Although the Host denies this we have photographic evidence. This resulted in numerous ant bites.shower over flows onto the bathroom floor when in use. Some rules for the apartment are not noted on the VRBO site ie not allowed to wear high heels in the apartment, music channel on the tv has a child lock on it, only allowed to use air conditioning if absolutely necessary, limit time of use. Host was very unhelpful when we made them aware of their ' ant infestation'. At times ignoring messages or responding to messages with a " thumbs up' emoji!! Host also refused any other form of a refund. We feel it is only fair that any ' future guests ' are made aware of the true situation regarding this property.

We are very sorry to hear that the stay in our apartment did not meet expectations. We take all feedback seriously and would like to address the points mentioned: It is true that, due to a misunderstanding with our cleaning agency, the apartment was not cleaned before the guest’s arrival. This was of course an unfortunate situation that should not have happened. As soon as we became aware of the issue, we immediately contacted both the guest and the cleaning agency, and the cleaning fee was refunded right away. The cleaning was done the day after with the guest’s approval. When cleaning is made, all beds are always covered by mattress protectors. There are several options of pillows of good quality available in the apartment. Regarding the ant issue, we have found no evidence that the situation was as severe as described in this review. It is true that some ants may appear if food is left on the floor or on the table, but they disappear quickly when surfaces are kept clean. This is a very common occurrence in Spain, and these ants do not bite. As for the apartment rules, our community guidelines—always sent to guests well in advance of check-in—clearly state that noise levels should be kept low and that high heels should be avoided. It is also clearly mentioned in our listing that Bahia Playa is a residential complex and that community rules must be respected. Regarding the TV channels, there is no child lock on any of them. However, not all channels are included in our subscription, which is also something we have not promised. There are absolutely no restrictions on the use of the air conditioning. We only ask guests not to keep it running while the balcony doors are open, which we believe is just common sense. We are sorry to hear that the guest found us “unhelpful,” although from our perspective, we responded as promptly and politely as possible. The so called, ant-problem was brought to our knowledge after the guest arrived at home. We investigated this twice and recorded a video showing no unusual occurrence of ants.

Bahia Playa

The complex is really nice with a beautiful pool and well tended gardens . We thought the accommodation we rented needed a refurbishment and repainting apart from the kitchen. The bathroom was the worst with chipped and dirty paintwork , one of the shower attachments didn’t work at all and the owners cosmetics were everywhere. The bedrooms were ok but there was no spare bedding and the towels were threadbare. There were no tea towels for drying dishes. Some of the light fittings didn’t work . When we paid the extra money for cleaning we thought someone would come in and at least change the bedding. Our overall impression is that the apartment needs to be brought up to date.

Dear Celia! Thank you for your feedback and sorry to hear that our apartment wasn't up to your expectations. Actually it was totally refurbished just a coupel of years ago so we don't really understand your impression. We don't keep any of our private cosmetics in the bathroom, but sometimes previous guests leave stuff such as shampoo etc, and we prefer to leave ti ti be used rather than through away. It is correct that one drawer in the bathroom is broken, it will be fixed shortly, as well as the shower, If you had let us know that about the towles, we could have replaced them immediatley. The fee for cleaning, includes final cleaning only, not daily cleaning and bedding. Best Regards, Kristin & Stefan

A lovely apartment in a great position.

We stayed at the Roos' apartment for 6 nights. The apartment was as shown on the photos. It's well equipped, with everything you need in the kitchen. The owners are easily contacted and respond quickly to any queries. The pool is especially lovely. The apartment's balcony looks over it so our teenage children were able to go down alone, knowing that we were able to see them if there were any issues. The pool is clean and was never really busy. The location of the apartment is great. There are a few restaurants and bars close by. We had two wonderful meals at George's and some great great cocktails while we played pool at David's Bar. There are also two supermarkets. The beach is just a couple of minutes walk away and you can catch a bus going either way (towards Fuengirola or Marbella) easily. La Cala is in walking distance (about 45 minutes for us along the boardwalk). We did this a few times with pit stops for drinks in the beach bars on the way! We really enjoyed our stay at this apartment. We would definitely consider staying here again.My only regret is not taking my sleeping mask as the blinds are very thin and there is a security light from a neighbouring property that shines in on the double bedroom. Thanks so much!
