Located in the heart of Chico, one block from beautiful Bidwell Park and a short walk to downtown, this charming, newly-renovated bungalow offers everything you need for a relaxing and fun-filled getaway. Whether you're sipping coffee on the front porch or trying your hand at bocce ball in the backyard under the twinkle lights, this sweet, completely redone 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom home provides a clean and comfortable place for you to enjoy all that Chico has to offer. Be sure to check out the legendary jukebox from Duffy's Bar in downtown Chico, given to us as a wedding present! Grab the beach chairs and head to One-Mile, the local swimming park just a couple of blocks away. Or hop on a beach cruiser bike and take a ride through tree-lined streets, just a few blocks to the heart of downtown Chico. Plenty of street parking directly in front of the house. PLEASE CHECK THE NUMBER OF TRAVELERS BOX WHEN MAKING YOUR BOOKING TO INDICATE IF YOU ARE BRINGING A PET. Additional $25 pet cleaning fee will be applied. Charming bungalow, perfect for our family. A plus to be able to bring our dog. Great location and amenities. Had a great weekend visiting our sons who are at Chico State. We all loved being able to hang out, play bocce, and enjoy home cooked meals. Will definitely come back!

Perfect stay!!

The property was perfect!! Clean, comfortable and quiet. We had a few friends over for dinner and the backyard was the perfect spot. The kids danced to the jukebox!!We will ask to stay any time we are in Chico.

annual summer Chico visit

The street parking is a little less that desired but not a big deal for us and the back bedroom gets pretty warm during the summer months but the fans help a lot. We enjoy the outside seating a ton on the cooler mornings and the jukebox is so FUN! Location is perfect for walks in Bidwell or to downtown.

Downtown Chico Getaway

We had a nice visit! It was a perfect location and close to everything. Only downside was parking. We were confused on where to park. Didn't seem like it was okay to park on the street in front of the house. It was a very busy road and a lot of traffic going very fast. More direction on this would have been helpful.

Adorable, comfortable and great location!

We had a wonderful stay in your bungalow - 9 days! It started with a girl's weekend and then they left and my husband arrived. It was the perfect size for both "parties". We loved the Chico decor as we all are from Chico and the awesome art reminded us of our lives when we lived there. As others mentioned, the parking isn't ideal, but we felt and our car were safe. The traffic outside was negligible inside. Suzanne and Matthew were great to work with. They responded quickly to my questions. There was a minor glitch with check in, but was remedied right away. Beautiful close to downtown, and Chico State. We were very impressed with ā€œmore thanā€ essentials in the kitchen. We bbq-ed on the back patio 2 nights. The Jukebox was so fun to use. We would stay here again!

Beautifully maintained property, very convenient for everything. We were moving our child into Chico State dorms so didn't have much time to enjoy the amenities outside (plus it was HOT!), but the couch was perfect for the relaxation we needed! Bed was very comfortable and we just generally had a really great stay! Hope to come back at some point!

Cute property

The house is very cute, decorated with lovely Chico -related decor and relatively accessible to downtown. It was very clean, the backyard is nice. You might want to note that it is on a very busy one-way street so you do hear street noise in the front and parking in front of the house can be a problem, so we parked around the corner. Also, the communication with the owner was poor as I was asked at one point to cancel my reservation because they said they wanted to do some construction work, although I think it was probably due to the high demand for that weekend. I didnā€™t preemptively cancel, but waited anxiously to see if they would, which they chose not to do I guess. Also, after I checked out we were told the cleaning person said we left the house ā€œfilthyā€ and would we pay a larger cleaning fee? We spent 80% of our time and almost all of our meals outside of the house never even using the stove or any appliances and we would never leave a house dirty, so we absolutely disagreed and the issue was dropped. I have to say that took away from the experience for us.

We spent three nights at this adorable and practical house. Everything we needed was provided, the furnishings were comfortable, and the location was perfect - just a few short blocks to the park and to town. I kinda don't want to let the secret out so that next time I'm looking for accommodations, you won't have snatched it up!

Very clean and cozy home

My son and I were in town to check out Cal State Chico and the location of the property was minutes away from the campus. We were able to get a good lay of the land while we mere there while enjoying the comfort and attention to detail in the house! Walking into the house after a 7 1/2 hour drive from Orange County and walking out of the 103 degree heat into the air conditioning and ceiling fans was heaven!! The juke box is so cool and has an excellent assortment of music that we enjoyed! Would definitely stay there again! Had to communicate with the host just about resetting the juke box to work and received a response and solution within minutes!

Summer Chico vibes

We love this little bungalow for it's location and Chico charm! The street parking on Pine St. can be a little tight so just be careful when exiting your car. This is our 4th summer staying here and we'll be back next year.

Graduation Stay

We enjoyed our four-day visit here with my parents to see my daughter graduate from Chico State. We had fun with the bocce ball, and it was a perfect location for walking downtown and to graduation. Cute house!

Almost Perfect Bungalow

Only parking was on busy Street. While not perfect it passed. Well maintained and nice property. Master bedroom super. Twin bed in second bed was not particularly comfortable but made it work. Immaculate place nicely decorated and comfy. Thanks

Darling House

This was our second time staying at the Bidwell Park Bungalow, and loved it just as much as the first time. The house is so cleaned, stocked, and back yard with bocce is so fun. We will stay again!
