Romantic Private Villa With Pool, Fabulous Mountain Views

Our romantic villa " Casa Orquidea" is located on the border of the white villages Riogordo and Comares in the province of Axaquia, about 45 minutes drive from Malaga airport and 35 minutes from the beach.
It is a lovely place for guests who wish to enjoy love, peace, nature, culture , good food and relaxation. Cultural cities such as Malaga, Granada, Seville and Cordoba are easily accessible.
Set in a peaceful valley, our villa has all the modern comforts you may require for a relaxing holiday with large pool and stunning views. We call it – “pequeño pedazo de paraíso “, little piece of paradise.
A traditional big terrace with furniture and a small garden filled with shrubs and flowers provides a cool, calm area for your relaxed evening meals under the stars.
It is furnished with your comfort in mind. The large, open plan living room/diner is furnished in a Spanish style with 2 sofas, armchair, coffee table, flat screen TV and a large dining table.
Two bedrooms, the master bedroom has a double bed with a memory foam mattress and en-suite shower room. In addition, a full family bathroom completes the accommodation.
Terracotta floor tiles, Window shutters and ceiling fans mean it remains cool throughout the day. All windows have fitted mosquito screens.
A large shaded terrace overlooks the swimming pool and sun terrace giving views of Comares on it's mountain-top.
There's plenty of sunbathing space surrounding the pool, attractively planted areas beyond and hillsides of olives and almonds rising up all around. An irresistible spot for second honeymoon, complete relaxation, activity and recovery of the body.

Stunning views and tranquility

Lovely villa situated on top a hill with far reaching views across olive groves . Off the beaten track but beaches and villages not too far to travel. Family had lovely time swimming in the pool and Joy, the caretaker, was on hand to check we had everything we needed. Very relaxing stay.

Beautiful place, very nice pool, great view. Communication with owners was perfect.

Renting this property went very smoothly, mainly due to the good communication with the owners. Directions given on how to reach and to access the villa were very helpful. Steven and Lana, you’re great people. We had a wonderful holiday in your property.

Just what the DR ordered

We really enjoyed our stay. The villa is located away from the hustle and bustle which exactly what we wanted. The villa was clean and had all the facilities required. I couldn’t ask for better hosts communication was outstanding. I’ve stayed in this region of Spain numerous times and from experience finding the actual property can be challenging as they are generally on unmanned roads and a few Miles from the road but the directions given were spot and able to find the villa even though our arrival was 1am. We will definitely book gain 😊

L’annonce était conforme avec ce que nous avons trouvé sur place Nous avons passé de bonnes vacances au calme avec la piscine très agréable Les propriétaires étaient très disponible ce qui fût très appréciable. A noter toutefois qu’une voiture est indispensable pour pouvoir jouir de votre séjour. Je recommande !

Lovely villa in very quiet location

Perfect villa for family of four, large rooms and well equipped with everything you need for a holiday. Worth noting that the villa is approx 2km from the main road and the majority of that time is spent on unmade gravel roads. We managed it in a Seat Leon but wish we had booked a 4WD car to make it easier (particularly when accompanied by the local dogs part of the way uphill). The housekeeper Joy was an absolute joy and very helpful although not at all intrusive. We did appreciate the change of bedding and towels at the end of the first week - something we've not had when hiring properties for 2 weeks before. The pool was great, very clean and warm. Only reason this isn't a 5 star review is that there is no A/C (but there are ceiling fans) or wifi. To be fair neither of these are listed in the property details. Contact from Stephen and Lana before arrival was excellent. Stephen very promptly dealt with my query and Lana provided very clear directions to the villa. We ventured into the nearest village for the butchers and small supermarkets but the nearest large supermarket is 40 minutes away in Velez-Malaga. We also travelled to the Alhambra in Granada and Seville (both a couple of hours away) as well as spending a day or two at the beach in Torre Del Mar (45 mins). Overall, definitely somewhere I'd recommend if you're looking to get away from it all.

Riant, netjes, goed uitgerust (geen koffiezetapparaat, jammer). Fijn terras.

Heerlijke vakantie gehad. Het was enorm heet in Andalusië maar het was goed toeven rond de villa. Het zwembad is fantastisch. Met de auto de berg op rijden is spannend maar went snel. Zoek je een rustig verblijf: dan ben je hier aan het goede adres!

We had a very enjoyable stay in this homely villa.We were greeted by our friendly housekeeper who changed our linen etc as required & sorted any problems, we are familiar with the area but as she lives nearby was able to give us any information we needed.

Lovely Villa in beautiful setting

We had a wonderful time in the lovely villa. The villa had all the facilities you would need for a great holiday, the owners seemed to have thought of almost everything. The only very minor criticism would be the lack of an outdoor shower. The villa was very clean and tidy. We would like to thank Joy who was extreamly helpful and sorted out any queries we had. Her name is very apt. We would recommend this villa to anyone who wants a relaxing holiday in a stunning location.

Excellente villa avec piscine et cadre somptueux

Nous avons passé d'excellentes vacances, dans une villa propre et très bien équipée. La terrasse et la piscine sont très appréciables surtout avec la superbe vue depuis la terrasse. L'intimité sur la terrasse et dans la piscine est assurée Le village est bien situé également, nous avons pu visiter Grenade, Séville et Cordue. Nous nous sommes rendus à Marbella, Nerja et Torre Del Mare (qui est la plage la plus proche de la Villa). Malaga est à 45 min de la villa, il est donc très facile de s'y rendre. Les propriétaires et les personnes qui sont en charge de la villa et de la piscine sont serviables, soucieux de notre confort et très arrangeants. . Nous recommandons vivement cette villa, nous l'avons adorée.

My husband and I met each other in Spain in 2006 and still enjoy our love, our relationship and our life together and this villa is very special for us. We have fallen in love with the area, especially the hills, mountains and olive groves that typify Andalucia. In this wonderful silence and the singing of birds, broken only by the sound of the tinkle of goat bells as Paco, the goatherder grazes his herd up and down the slopes.
