Excellent location, with a safe enclosed garden for the dog.

The Watches is a great Lodge, very clean and well presented. We enjoyed the views. Slightly out of the way as it’s about 7 miles to Keswick but not bad. The location is very quiet and peaceful. We really enjoyed our stay and wouldn’t hesitate to return sometime.

The cottage was excellent, everything was better than described and I genuinely feel the photos undersell the scale of the place and the amazing setting! The garden was secure with a low wall, which was great to allow the dogs outside on our visit (they even provided little gifts, bowls, blankets etc for our furry visitors). I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again! It’s with mentioning there is a barn being converted just behind the building, construction noise can’t be heard at all in the property, but there is some traffic in the mornings and some footfall behind the property, so may be a little less private than usual if you plan on using the hot tub during the day.
