Very close, unfriendly neighbors

The property was great for our large group. The house was clean & had everything we needed with one exception. For a rental that sleeps 16 people, the water supply & water pressure was VERY lacking! In the basement bathroom, we had less of an issue, however the second & third floor showers would completely run out if water mid-shower! This was very inconvenient having 16 people who wanted to shower after being on the lake all day. We enjoyed the back covered porch & found that to be where we congregated as a group, however the neighbor was not happy about us being there. We did play music...not blaring but when the neighbor made a comment to one of us when we went to our car to get something we decided we better just cut our evening short & go to bed. From the notes & instructions about the cabin it’s obvious there has been issues with the neighbor in the past. Overall a good weekend & enjoyable stay.

Inside of the house was awesome, everyone loved it. The outside, well it may have been a while since someone else occuppied the property. Spider webs on all the balcony/patio areas. The driveway was covered with leaves and acorns.Had to make a quick run to get propane for the grill. One tank was empty, the other lasted about 15 minutes. A power outage affected the area. After the power kicked back on, we soon lost water pressure. We finally got someone out to check it out. Evidently the filter was clogged. In my "opinion", it appears like the filter wasn't cleaned in a while.We had enough firewood for one night. I notified EBR and was told some wood will be deliveried. We left at 3pm for a wedding, advised EBR we haven't received any wood. The advised that wood will be delivered. We returned around 9pm, no wood. I'm not sure if I need to buy more wood on my own. If so, I wish customer service would have said something, instead of promising a delivery. Despite the setbacks, I believe everyone enjoyed the accomdations. The wide open kitchen, dining and living room made it great for the family.

Family Weekend Getaway

The layout of this home is really good. The location was good and pretty easy to get to find. The driveway has a very step incline. We had 3 Full size SUVs & 1 4x4 pickup. All of them made it up easily, not sure if someone had a car how it would do, but I feel like you would easily make it up as well. Just FYI so if you have a truck or SUV you might want to take those as opposed to a car. The biggest issue we had with the home was it was not clean as expected and had a few cosmetic damages, both of these issues can be easily fixed and improved. The cleaning issues were a lot of spider webs, dirt under couches & in corners, as well as a few other small cleaning issues. The cosmetic damages were: 1. hole in the wall in the downstairs bathroom beside toilet paper holder and the shower handle cover plate was loose. 2. there were several door knobs that were loose and about to fall off. We had to fix one ourselves before it fell completely off (bathroom door on the main floor). 3. in the big playroom with the GIANT TV (which was great), there was a place in the corner that did not have carpet on it. We did have 3 issues that required Maintenance to come out and fix. Which they did a REALLY good job with and responded in a reasonable amount of time. 1. A/C issue (FIXED) 2. Bathroom sink drain plug broken (FIXED) 3. Hornets nest on the main floor (FIXED). We did not think there were any hornets in the nest but when the maintenance guy came out he sprayed and killed the hornets and destroyed the nest.

Great Space

We stayed at Just Like Heaven for a corporate retreat and it was a wonderful meeting space. There were lots of rooms and common areas. The kitchen was outfitted wonderfully. Would stay again!

Not a good location for a large group

The property is beautiful. There are lots of thoughtful amenities but it's not suitable for a large group to stay here. This house sleeps 16 people... After you pay your money they only release the details of the property 2 weeks from your booking date. By then it's too late for any type of refund. That's when you find out: You have to list the name and age of each guest. They're not allowed on the property if not listed. They only want 4 cars in the driveway and there is no way to park on the street. How, if multiple adults are attending?? The house is on a super steep incline that's only 1 lane. There is no way to park on the street. We fit 10 cats in the driveway because we had to. The neighbors are extremely close and they have a quiet time of 10pm to 8am!!! We were on the balcony talking, laughing and listening to music on our 1 Bluetooth speaker and the police were called on us at around midnight...on a Friday night. We were not having some wild party...we were simply outside, laughing and joking, trying to enjoy the only outdoor fireplace they have. 2 cop cars pulled up. Guest services called that night and requested we go inside or be quieter... The following morning they called to reiterate that we would need to keep it down. I think for the steep price we paid for 3 nights in a house set up to sleep 16 ppl... Being shushed and having the police called on you is an absolute outrage!!! They should not even be renting this cabin with neighbors so close... With that type of noise restriction. The least they can do is advertise that upfront so you don't go up there to celebrate a birthday like we did. The kicker was the mouse that came to visit. On the lower level where 2 bedrooms are located we see a mouse. Luckily he was killed and disposed of by one of my guests... But this caused quite the stir as you can imagine. There are no TV's in any bedrooms... And the master bedroom has a gathering place right in front of the door. It's where 1 of the only 2 TV's is located so you will have noise outside your door if you're in this room. Again, it's a beautiful home and I think they are thoughtful and generous in the little things they provide like linen, cookware, fire wood, surround sound Sonos speakers. But I can't recommend this place. I would never book it again
