Oahu is called the 'Gathering Place' and is home of Waikiki, Diamond Head and Pearl Harbor. The windward side retains the subtle feeling of old Hawaii, a Hawaii before the multi-story hotels and condos of Waikiki and the urban traffic, hustle and bustle of Honolulu. It still has that wonderful sense of 'Aloha' that you are welcomed and a friend.

Pat's a Punalu'u is about 30 miles from Waikiki and the Honolulu International Airport. The condo sits on a private, reef-protected beach, which is great for kids. The water is about waist to chest deep along the beach and is excellent for snorkeling. There is also a fresh water swimming pool, outdoor shower and exercise room.

You are 45-minutes from the nightlife of Waikiki or snorkeling at Hunauma Bay.

Our one-bedroom 'end unit' can accommodate up to five guests with a king bed in the bedroom, a queen sofa sleeper and a roll away and/or crib by request. It has a full-size remodeled kitchen and a washer and dryer...though you will probably be 'living' in T-shirts, shorts and swimsuits. The condo has ceiling fans, cable TV, stereo and lots of books - including many guidebooks to Hawaii. We provide beach chairs, towels, a beach umbrella, snorkeling equipment, ice chest and other items for your trips to the beach. All you need is your sunscreen and swimsuits.

BR B Activities: /B BR There are many things to do without leaving the condo. Watch the sun as it rises over the ocean from your lanai. The reef-protected ocean in front of the condo is perfect for swimming, snorkeling, or kayaking. Visit the nearby Polynesian Cultural Center, which tells the tales of the many different islands of the Pacific. If it's winter, along the North Shore you'll be treated to 30 to 40-foot tall waves and some of the world's best surfers. You'll also find Waimea Bay where Captain Cook anchored and the beautiful Waimea Falls Park with its sacred sites, waterfall and wonderful hula dancers.

Or drive a few more miles to the quaint town of Haleiwa and its many art galleries and boutiques. There is also horseback riding, golfing, hiking, deep-sea fishing, surfing and all sorts of water activities. Or if you are in the mood for shopping you are only 40 minutes from Waikiki.

Building needs major updating!

This Building is very old and run down. The septic tank smell is so strong the inside of the condo has a very bad odor. We had to wash the "clean" towels twice to rid them of the musty smell. While the owner was very responsive and easy to work with, I would be very cautious to recommend this rental to anyone.

Owner's Response: I am so sorry that you found your accommodations unacceptable. Yes. The building is old. I do tell folks that if come to Hawaii to look at a building, this is not your place. If however, you want to stay in a beautifully remodeled condo with a spectacular palm-dotted ocean view, there is no better place. You stayed during a period of very heavy precipitation and when that happens there can be an odor from the septic system, but you can not smell it from the condo. As for a smell in the condo, I am sitting in it right now and there is no odor at all. Since no one else has complained about it, I am not sure what it was. Perhaps you decided to leave the windows and doors shut and not allow any circulation. You state that I was easy to work with, yet you made no phone call complaining during your stay. Had you done so, I would have gladly refunded your money so that you could have found another place to stay. It is very disappointing that in all these years of renting our condo, you chose to try to discourage others from staying here. Since 19 other guests that have left 5 star reviews, I am hoping guests looking for beachfront accommodations in a beautiful, country setting, will look past your review and realize that you can't please all the people all the time, especially when they don't let you know that they are not satisfied with their accommodations. Fabulous all around! Great location, absolutely beautiful condo! It was like I was staying at my auntie’s home. Friendly owner and managers, REALLY GREAT text communication. The one flaw....Kathy didn’t call my boss and say I needed to stay longer!🤣

Kathy's unit is the best unit of a fantastic property. Beautiful sunrises from your beachfront deck

Kathy was a fantastic host with great communication all along the way. The complex is on a beautiful private beachfront. We enjoyed swimming and snorkeling right in front of the condo. This was even January when the surf is extreme on lots of the island. Unit 316 has South and East views with the largest patio in the complex so you can enjoy sunrise from your patio or walk along the beach with your morning coffee or tea. The condo is spacious with very modern amenities. Granite countertops great appliances.... We enjoyed grilling each supper and used the washer and dryer. We would definitely recommend staying in this unit again! I would recommend Aloha Shrimp (truck) for a quick bite of delicious food as well. Close enough to walk.

Great Place to Stay on the North Shore

Planned to visit Oahu during Thanksgiving. Of course, I went back to the place I stayed before and had a great time with great accommodations. Secluded beach property that is quiet with a reef about 100 yards out that keeps the waves at bay and makes lagoon-like water for snorkeling and other water activities. Awesome sunrise views to the beach side of the condo and heavily vegetated mountains to the back side. Kitchen is updated and very comfortable. Extra large wrap around lanai for relaxing and enjoying the views Bedroom works well. Polynesians Cultural Center 10-15 minutes to the north. Giovanni's shrimp truck, Seven Bros, Ted's Bakery and Turtle Bay just a few more minutes to the north. Nice secure place to vacation. You can't go wrong staying here. Kathy is very easy to work with and goes out of her way to insure you have a great stay!

Perfect North Shore Condo

This nice condo sits right on the beach on the North Shore. The lanai is huge and a great place to enjoy the sunrise and the sunset. The beach is never busy and we also enjoyed the onsite pool. The location is perfect. Far enough away from town where you can really relax and enjoy Oahu. This condo was clean and spacious. Would stay there again for sure.

Perfect

This was the exactly what we had hoped for. The beach location is so beautiful and we loved being on the quiet side of the island. Kathy was great and her daughter that lives close by was very helpful with local information and guidance. We spent time at the North Shore and on the Honolulu side of the island but were always glad to go "home" to the quiet beach and condo. The corner unit was great for a breeze that kept us cool and comfortable. Great place. Would definitely stay here again.
