The Summer Cottage directly overlooks the white sands of Mother's Beach and the sparkling blue Atlantic Ocean -

One of the original summer cottages at Mother's Beach - the crown jewel of Mother's Beach - awaits your arrival - completely renovated in the spring of 2014 & 2018, the cottage has it all, the historic charm of yesteryear and all of the modern conveniences of today including wireless internet and new flat screen TVs.

The Cottage has a brand new kitchen, two new full bathrooms, new hardwood floors throughout the Cottage. The entire inside has been painted. The end result is a beautiful Cottage matched only by the scenic views of the beach and ocean. This fall we added a master bedroom in the Attic - there will be a Queen Bed, sitting area, refrigerator and a bathroom all on one level!!

An 1896 'Summer Cottage' with gorgeous 180 degree ocean views overlooking the Atlantic Ocean and Lords Point near the KBIA. The 8-room, 4-bedroom cottage occupies the entire second and third floors with its own entrance. (The first floor is unoccupied.) This rental is ideally suited for three or four couples or two families who want to relax and enjoy the beach and the ocean but is also near Kennebunkport and Portland for dining & shopping.

The 14 room house is NOT used by the owners and the guests have complete access to the grounds including sunken patios, porches and decks.

The rental has eight rooms including a beautiful sunroom with lots of windows to enjoy the the direct ocean views and ocean breeze as well as a large outside sun deck over looking the Ocean. The apartment also has four bedrooms, a new gorgeous kitchen, living area, dining area and two new bathrooms.

This property is designed for three or four couples or two families who would like to enjoy a quiet week or two on a beautiful beach on the Southern Coast of Maine to watch the waves roll, the sun rise and the sun set.

June family trip

Loved our week stay in Kennebunkport. The place was a perfect location- right across from the beach, and a short ride to downtown Kennebunkport, Kennebunk or Wells. The house was clean, very well appointed and perfect for our group. We hope to be back!

Terrific Vacation

We had a wonderful vacation staying at this very special house and location. Everyone who visited us immediately felt relaxed and at home. The cleanliness of all of the interior space was particularly impressive, which we find is rare these days at other rentals and hotels. The owner was always friendly and responsive to questions and requests.

This beach house is amazing!

I have rented beach houses along the coast of Maine for 40 years. This house is my favorite. We had a relaxing time sitting in the house and on the deck watching the sea. Also walking the beach into Kennebunkport was a nice activity. I highly recommand.

Perfect location…

We just spent a week at this lovely home. Ideal location; beach access was perfect when traveling with little ones, a five minute walk from the house to the water. The kids loved playing alongside the rocks finding snails and crabs. A playground is adjacent to the beach. Supplies within the home were endless (something I have rarely found in rentals) and the interior of the home was immaculate. Thank you, Dana!

This house is so charming and right across from the beach. It was easy to go to the Kennebunk and Kennebunkport towns for food and walks. The host was always easy to reach. We can’t wait to go back!

Great beachfront location

Quiet neighborhood setting with easy access to nearby town, shops and restaurants. Beautiful sunrise and sunset views. Nice galley kitchen and lots of room to spread out. We'll be back!

This is a beautiful renovated apartment just across the street from Mother’s beach. Great location with lovely views. Close to kennebunkport. Host was welcoming and provided everything we needed. We highly recommend this beautiful space.

Classic Maine “Cottage” with unbeatable view

This is an immaculate large apartment in a classic old cottage. It was very well supplied with necessities and extra touches by the owner. The view was perfect, looking on to a small quiet beach. There was plenty of space both inside and outside the cottage. There is plenty of sidewalk walking as well as nature trails nearby. I fully recommend this rental.

New England coast at its best!

What a wonderful house. It combines the old with the new. The house is fully updated, bright, nicely decorated and very clean. Dana, the owner is very accommodating. When the heat in the main living area didn't come on, he sent someone right over, and he also allowed us to have a late check-out on Sunday. We were four couples that just wanted a relaxing few days away and to explore the southern coast of Maine. And that we did! The views are spectacular and the location is perfect. Dana, thank you for sharing your lovely house!

Great location and lovely cottage

This beach house was a great home base for our first visit to Maine - beautiful views and outfitted with everything we needed (and then some). We stayed here in early June, and the area was not crowded at all. It was so peaceful to watch the near-empty beach from the comfort of the sunroom in the early morning and late evening. The playground on the beach was an extra bonus, since we were traveling with small children. The bedrooms had plenty of space; the kitchen was stocked with everything we could have imagined; and it was great to have an easy-to-access washer and dryer. Dana and his wife made us feel right at home and even brought over extra blankets in case anyone got cold on a rainy night during our stay.

Perfect Vacation Spot!

We took my 86 year old mom here so she could enjoy the amazing ocean views! It was the perfect getaway and location for us! We only live 15 minutes away so I know the area and after researching our options, I knew this was the ideal location and rental. It was even better than we expected. The upstairs apartment is recently renovated. It is clean, open and beautiful. Everything you could need and more! Dana was easy to get in touch with and very helpful. The location is perfect, and I know the area- one of the most scenic beaches and spots on the coast, with easy access to Kennebunk and miles of beautiful shoreline and entertainment. We felt like we were miles away and left totally relaxed and refreshed. Lots of activity to view; joggers, bikers and kids playing down the road at the beachside playground but quiet and private at the same time. All the homes in the area are gorgeous with beautiful landscaping which adds to the warm, new England feel. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this home to anyone!

Awesome, Gorgeous Home, Across from Beach

This home is absolutely beautiful. Totally updated in every room, bath, living and kitchen area. The beach is 50 yards away. Beautiful Ocean view from every room. The owner, Dana, is a joy to work with. This was a girls' getaway for 7 days and this is the place to stay. Easy access to Kennebunk. Portland, Freeport, Ogunquit, Wells. Rent a car and all of beautiful Maine is available. Make your base at this home and you will not be disappointed. I just cannot say enough. Above expectations!!!

Lovely apartment; Beautiful views; Great Vacation

This was the right spot for a 3 gals getaway. It was so much better than anticipated. The Ocean is just out the front wall of windows across street with a beach - rocky coast & a children's playground 1/2 block away. It is second story but it was a non-factor as the steps are up to a deck with great views. You do need a car as this is not close to town but a nice area for walking & the very private apartment was beautifully equipped. There was not a lot of bedroom storage, 1 closet. Kitchen was lovely & functional & the view incomparable. The landlord Dana - was friendly & helpful. Great choice!

Beautiful property with gorgeous views

This is a great spot for a beach vacation! Mother’s Beach is just across the street and has a newly renovated children’s playground. The unit is newly renovated with a beautiful new kitchen, bathrooms and laundry area. Extremely clean in all areas of the unit. All bedrooms are lovely and provide a view and sounds of the ocean! The view from the main living areas, including screened porch and outside deck entices hours of gazing at the Maine coastline. The owner was very available and great to work with from the initial contract process to meeting our needs while we were at the beach house. Three generations of our family were accommodated very well in the unit. Owner provides many amenities from bathroom and kitchen supplies to beach chairs, TV with DVD player also. Only lacking in bedroom closet space (only one of bedrooms has a closet, the others have clothes trees/hangers). Proximity to Kennebunkport and long walks on beach make it a great vacation spot! We plan to return again!

Charming 19th Century Beauty with Exceptional Ocean Views

All hopes that this apartment would be as wonderful as the online photos were totally exceeded. This was my first experience with VRBO and it was very positive from start to finish. The owner was so helpful in answering my questions in advance of signing the lease, and was equally responsive to all inquiries once we arrived at the property. His knowledge of the home and the surrounding area was extensive (he's a local). We appreciated his warm and welcoming manner when he stopped by to confirm that everything was to our satisfaction. Overall very accommodating. This wonderful home, circa 1896, has been lovingly updated but still retains the character of an historic property. This was particularly appealing to our family as we were looking for a beautiful and comfortable home, with strong bones dating back to an earlier era. What we loved most about the house were its incredible views of Mother's Beach and the ocean from several rooms in the house. Because it's on the second floor views are unobstructed. The open floor plan capitalized on the views, natural light and fresh ocean breezes, but also provided for different activities among family members. We all loved the deck and grilled out as often as possible. Plenty of additional chairs accommodated impromptu gatherings with family in the area. A favorite spot inside was the sunroom with gorgeous new arched windows and tongue-and-groove wood paneling with panoramic views of the beach. Kitchen was small but well-equipped -- everything we needed without getting too "gourmet." The house was spotless when we arrived (high priority for us and obviously the owner as well). Parking for 2 cars in back and 2 in front. No permit needed. Great to have complete access to all outsides spaces (no one lives on first floor) so it felt like "our house." Must be able to climb stairs since it is on second floor. Convenient to all points of interest in southern Maine; Kennebunkport is just minutes away. Great meal at Billy's Chowder House in Wells. Wonderful antique shop, Bulfinch, is within 1.5 miles. Great Laundromat/cleaners in lower Kennebunkport. Daily walks down Kennebunk Beach; wonderful playground on Mother’s Beach for young children. We're planning on returning next year!
