I’m glad you mentioned your family’s initial concerns about being on an island. As you discovered, there’s plenty to do—fishing, hiking, swimming, games, and simply relaxing. But the mainland is only about a five minute boat ride away. In fact, I’m on the island now and heading to the mainland later today for a bike ride, and tomorrow I’ll be golfing with friends.

Thank you for your positive comments and for taking the time to provide detailed feedback, including areas where we can improve. Although the boat is older, it is well maintained and equipped with a 250-horsepower four-stroke engine, GPS, electronic controls, and stabilizers. We offer it as an optional convenience for transportation, tubing, fishing, and exploring. Boating experience is required, and docking can be more challenging in windy conditions. Regarding the comment about threadbare items, a few older seat cushions had inadvertently been left on the outside deck. Those should have been discarded, as we have plenty of newer outdoor cushions available. The house contains several Oriental-style rugs, including a high-quality, hand-knotted Persian-style wool rug in the main room. The family-room furniture was also reupholstered with high-quality fabric within the past year, and the leather furniture in the library is in excellent condition. The Thermador professional oven and microwave are approximately two years old, the trash compactor is about three years old, and the GE French-door refrigerator is approximately eight years old. A cosmetic piece did fall off the microwave, and we apologize for that. The trash compactor does have a piece that has already broken on it and has been repaired. We will inspect all of the appliances. We provide mattress protectors and maintain a supply closet with extras. I am not sure what occurred during this stay, but I will look into it.
