Beautiful home with a wonderful view of Sierra Blanca! House was well-equipped with most everything one would need. Property was close to the village shops of Ruidoso. Driveway is very steep, but would only be a problem when icy. Did not use the hot tub, but it was situated on the deck, overlooking the mountain view. Had deer wandering through on the last day we were there. Lovely visit, would stay here again.

Hot tub is clearly marketed as part of this property, and is included in many of the pictures. Also at the time of booking the hot tub was even listed as part of the title! Further my reservation confirmation from VRBO included the title that said "hot tub." What is worse, while there I found out the hot tub has not worked since Feb 2026 (from guest log book entries). During my stay in late August, I called as soon as I arrived and asked the management company to fix the hot tub. They said it would not be fixed this week, but a part is on order and they are working on it. (Making me believe this was a recent issue.) However, I am not sure I believe that after I found its been out of service since Feb 2026.

The house is in a beautiful neighborhood and nicely decorated. My friends and I enjoyed a lovely evening soaking in the hot tub. The beds were very comfortable. We would definitely stay there again.

Really nice cabin

We really enjoyed this cabin. It has everything you need, and love the light and fan labeling. Just wish it was located on a little more level ground.

Weekend getaway

Enjoyed our weekend getaway! We loved hot tubbing under the stars and the location of the cabin. Couldn’t have asked for a better stay.

Beautiful views

We really enjoyed the house, it was comfortable. We spent most of our time out on the deck, the views were what I was there for and was not disappointed!! Overall we had a really good stay!

Ruidoso is famous the world over for being the home of the richest quarter horse race; The All American Futurity. Live racing occurs each summer between Memorial Day and Labor Day. Wintertime activities includes Ski Apache which is the Southernmost ski resort providing the warmest weather skiing and snowboarding to be found. Hummingbird Cabins is committed to providing our customers with the highest level of personal care and service. We are at your service and welcome you to our mountain paradise.

Please read: Hummingbird Cabins, LLC is the host and who will provide customer service after you've booked your rental home through VRBO. Therefore, be advised that our cancellation policy as well as our inhouse policies and procedures may differ from VRBO. All guests will receive our Guest License Agreement that outline our policies and procedures and are asked to initial and e-sign before receiving their rental information (address and access code).
