The Skipper is a bright yellow Gulf Coast beach home on stilts, offering stunning ocean views and direct access to a quiet, car-free beach. This second-row retreat comfortably sleeps 6 guests, featuring a fully equipped kitchen, spacious deck, and outdoor shower. Enjoy a peaceful escape just 20 mins from Galveston's attractions, with a grocery store next door. Perfect for families, couples or small groups seeking a relaxing beach getaway.

Inside, the open-concept living, dining, and kitchen area keeps your group connected, all while offering stunning ocean views. This comfortable home sleeps up to 6 guests across two bedrooms with three queen beds. Whether you're cooking a meal, watching a movie, or playing a game, you'll find everything you need for a relaxing coastal getaway.

• An outdoor shower with hot and cold water for rinsing off after a day in the sand.
• Convenient in-unit washer and dryer.

• Best for up to 5 adults (plus children). We've hosted many happy parties of six adults, but with one bathroom and our seating layout, up to five adults is the sweet spot.
• Single-story home and lower to the ground than most beach houses. The outdoor stairway is open-air but partially covered by the roof overhang.
• Limited infant gear — the home is not set up for babies. The house guide has local equipment rental info.
• Checkout chores — guests are asked to handle a few light tasks to help us turnover quickly and keep costs down. You can opt out for a small fee we send to our cleaners.
• Wi-Fi is provided via cable internet. We can't guarantee third-party signal quality, though it is generally reliable.

Our time here at the Skipper was great. The host was very nice and checking in to make sure things were good. Very clean, and comfortable. Weather was great for a few days, Wednesday it rained all day, so it was a day of relaxing... overall, we really enjoyed our time together and beach time

Perfect getaway location with access to beach. The beach is not crowded at all, good bit away from the main strip of Galveston. Good restaurants and stores nearby. Owner was very communicative and accommodating.

The Skipper beach house is a very nice “Just the right size” place. My family and I truly loved the location, size, and cleanliness of the beach house! Just a short walk to the beach! So nice to have everything we needed in the kitchen, and bathrooms! Bedrooms are nice, and mattresses are comfy! Will rent again next vacation!

We stayed at the Skipper for our 40th anniversary. The house was very nice, clean and comfortable. You could see the beach and ocean while sitting outside or inside which were great. The host kept in contact making sure we had everything we needed. The house is great for a couple to stay or a small family. We really enjoyed our stay here

This adorable cottage has everything you’ll need for a fun and relaxing stay at the shore. The charming decor, well-equipped kitchen and excellent communication with the owners made our stay comfortable and worry-free. The host was very communicative and didn't require many clean-up tasks. I was worried that not being directly on the ocean front would be a major downside but you could still see and hear it anytime you wanted. You can drive right to the beach and park for free with all your stuff. The host had beach chairs, towels, boogie boards - pretty much everything you need for a nice relaxing beach day. I would stay there again!

This is a beautiful little house tucked away from it all. Perfect location in every aspect. Walking distance to the main town, supermarket and, either side, local tavernas. Kostas organised a quad for us which was perfect. The swimming pool was the best way to start the day and to end it too. Also, my husband loved watering the roses that were planted.

Nice getaway

This is our second time to stay here. The property is clean and had everything we needed. It is just a quick walk over to the beach. The owners were very quick to respond and made sure we did not need anything. Will definitely be back!
